    in that magnificent video, my three favorites are: the pink topaze and diamond parure, the sapphire and diamond parure and the pearl and diamond tiara which is owned by the Dutch royal family

    ❤❤❤ 🎉🎉 Dazzling! Very beautiful each item and element!! According to Margaret Wolfe Hungerford, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I'm sure most people would love to own or wear or at least be able to see the collective pieces! Thanks for sharing!

    My ancestors worked & suffered so they could have those jewels. I wish they had at least sold for more.

      I wish they did not sell them at all and your families kept them in their families for ever as a heiratage of god who gave them in the first place and that is why heirloom should never be allowed to be auctioned off god gave that family these things because he loved 🥰 them and that is why heirloom should not ever be sold not at Christie’s or Sothebys either I would to my lord god almighty they never sold them at all Sentimental value is far more valuable about that jewelry than even the monatary money 💰 that would ever get for it because god almighty gave it to that family because he loved them and that makes that priceless ✝️😇🥰🙏🇺🇸🗽✡️🕎💟☮️✝️💝💗

    Why selling your family jewelry, I would keep it in the family, I inherited some of my mother’s, and will give it finally to my cousins and nieces, some of it , is 3 generations in our family

    • @MsSkipperkim

      Maybe they needed the money.

    • @Mijnvuurtoren

      True, some jewelry of my family comes also from a royal family, our family tree goes back to 1100, and we are related to all the European Royal families

      @@Mijnvuurtorenmine was too poor. Not to mention they migrated in the lat 1890s from Russia. They were Volga Germans who still spoke only German. They came to Kansas to farm.

      You must be from a country that doesn't have "inheritance tax". It's common knowledge that people sell their family items they inherit because they cannot afford to pay the huge inheritance tax....in some countries the tax on inherited items is as high as 40%!! As an example Queen Elizabeth had many jewelry pieces that are assessed at more than $10,000,000.00 each. The tax on that would be
      $4,000,000.00. Up until the late 1960's (I think) royals were not required to pay taxes, now they are taxed like everyone else. That's why she had to put her personal jewels into some sort of non taxable trust that is passed down from monarch to monarch. If the monarchy is ever abolished and they need money and sell individual items they will be required to pay the tax associated with the item. I hope this helps with you not understanding why people sell items they have inherited. It's all about the money!

    @JewelleryPleasure I know you have these videos planned well in advance. But at some point, perhaps you could make a video about the WW2 Stolen Hesse Jewels from Friedrichshof/Wolfsgarten by American G.I.s? There aren't many, if any, videos about it and it mostly just talks about the Heist itself. Have you heard of that story?

    • @JewelleryPleasure
      @JewelleryPleasure  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello :). No, I've never heard this story, but thanks for the suggestion, I will look into this topic, but I can't promise that I will find a lot of information about this jewels.

    Why would people sell off their jewelry for it was meant to be a family heirloom that means you keep it in your family always you don’t sell them sentimental jewelry has love meaning to it besides its price of its value monetary reasons shame on these rich families who sell their family members heirloom jewelry at Christie’s and Sotheby’s I think these families who do this are a real disappointment to their ancestors that earned these jewelry because of who their aristocracy was founded on 😊😊😊😊😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

    2:02 She was Archduchess Maria Theresa/Theresia of Austria. Württemberg refers to her father's title (he was Duke of Teschen) plus she was not Duchess of Württemberg. She married Duke Philipp of Württemberg and styled Duchess Philipp of Württemberg as a result. Brilliant video otherwise, I subscribed 👍

      C’est tellement stupide. Les paysans ne mouraient plus de faim au XIXE siècle, quelle ignare! Et alors, que dire des pyramides d’Egypte ou du château de Versailles… Quand le sage montre la lune, le singe regarde le doigt…

    It's ashamed that all of these had to be sold and redesign to look awful.
