    1.25 - Cut up onion & put in jar.
    1.49 - Honey added.
    2.24 - Lid on jar

      Hi, in our house normally last about 2/3 days, because we like to have it fresh all the time. We never keep our one in the fridge, but you can keep your one there😉

      That works just the same, it's just less like a syrup and more strong.

    • @thekeepitsimplee
      @thekeepitsimplee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We usually keep that for about 2-3 days as we prefer to do more often to be fresh.

      I've seen this shown via utube advertisement. Some use white sugar or brown sugar. You don't have to use honey...I know you leave overnight. Then. It's good for at least another 48 hours. I wish this editor had left more instructions maybe they in the.description. ty🎁🎀❤

      Honey shouldn't be given to children 1 yr and under. A substitute could be to use sugar instead of the honey.

    I just made this syrup for my kids but the recipe i followed called to warm up the onions and honey in a pan on low heat and then transfer. I don't know if I'm a fan of it because I was nervous of burning the honey .
    Does the fermenting method make the taste too strong for kids? Can I add cinnamon and ginger to this?

    • @thekeepitsimplee
      @thekeepitsimplee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In my recipe we are not warming up honey, so I will advice you to either follow our recipe or someone else.

      Never warm your honey and always buy cold extracted cold filtered honey. Once you heat raw honey you start to destroy its health benefits
