I just left soundcloud for UM because it doesn't have the features UM has and isn't a good gateway to the next level UPDATE: I did some research and it turns out UM isn't always as good as they may seem. Plus, some people's reviews of UM and their practices didn't settle well with me. Surprisingly, they're taking unusually long with a song I uploaded. I'm back with SC distribution and should've never left.
You'll Need about 350,000 Streams to make 1k, so I think you should aim for higher goals, and 15k streams wont pass the payout threshold, try fakebook and TH-cam ads mixed in with Lots of social media postings and interaction's

Good question! They will make a new SoundCloud for you , but if you are a new artist to the streaming platforms you may be able to link your SoundCloud account if you email your distributors support team with specific detail as to what your trying to do. I went through this before with trying to access my SoundCloud account with them , I could never have access, but they supposedly have a process for this and they sent me the credentials or log in link, something like that. And it never worked . I communicated this well with them through email but they eventually stopped replying, and I sent more messages. But nothing. This is unfortunate, but in simple terms. They do make an account for you on your behalf, so that they can properly collect your sound recording revenue on your behalf.

I recently found out they also were claiming my royalties through SoundExchange Without my knowledge or consent and under a different busness name
I Struggled with this same question before and i resorted to yes, but Soundcloud did have a section where you could enter your meta data for your music and you have control that way knowing that you personally submitted your music to SoundCloud yourself, but I never seen royalties that way sadly until i was with I believe UM, but now with Tune core.

Also, did you have a select artist account? If so the yearly renewal is going to charge your billing account and if it cannot charge you unfortunately they will request a removal from all stores of your music, so be cautious about this if your billing isn't set up correctly , they want their money. but this reason is also the reason i left United masters, i didn't like that kind of business practice overall and i was very frustrated.

No, and in most cases you should set your publisher up with BMI If your indie. You Just Got to submit proper data that only you would know for each song and you'll collect your own Publishing Royalties. BMI Pays Quarterly

Hey, if your having this problem still , the easiest way to find your music link is to log into your distribution account and find your songs master link which should be in the "promote" tab inside United Masters.
You can claim your TH-cam Artist Channel Directly From TH-cam, United Masters Does distribute to TH-cam , so when your Artist Channel is Claimed By you, you have more control and see more analytics within your TH-cam Studio, therefore back inside united masters you would see your TH-cam sound recording revenue more clearly within statements

I'm a United Masters artist and have one album and one single released thru them, with another album pending approval. My question is, how do I get an official artist channel thru United Masters and how do I go about releasing my music videos that I have created but can't release them thru United Masters because I haven't been invited through them and when I requested Video release they informed me they was at capacity to release music videos but would be considered in a couple of months.I would like to know what are my options to get an official artist channel and be able to release my music videos before the music is so "Outdated" that the video releases hurt my numbers. However, in some cases you can re upload your music and youll be fine, and the way United Masters Sets up your Google & TH-cam SEO is a win for me. I think they are equally useful
@@prettyboypaid I experienced this once, I paid for 2 accounts back to back and the next morning they made it seem like I didn't even pay it, no history or anything. I emailed them and them. This sounds like some weird system bug that they haven't been able to control. A lot of ppl are reporting this same issue. I eventually paid it no mind and let it go. otherwise, I would have spent too much time and energy
im saying, I released 5 songs with them and one blew up and got over 150k streams. When I was supposed to get paid they said that I didn't have enough proof that I own my music. I had no features or anything. I then sent them my copyright documents, etc. and I still haven't got paid. Over a month now I've been dealing with this. They took down all my songs and said that they wouldn't be rereleased until I "prove" that I own it (which I did already)

I'm on the free plan I have no problems at all my money is always on time I have accumulated 10,000 streams but you have to promote to get paid and that will always be the key for any entertainment endeavors.

That’s my question. I’m ONErpm. Only problem I had was they wouldn’t put one of my albums on Apple because of “rhythmic samples” but other than that I’m in every store. I think they take 10-15 percent but it’s free.
Now I've yet to use One RPM but I've heard that their pros are that you have access to certain opportunities like sync licensing and PR directly from within their platform, but more companies are offering the same. It's worth taking a deeper look into!

Hey the reason why I’m watching this video is cause I’m thinking about switching to UM after distrokid did some f*** s***! 😡 another artist who has the same name as me his music somehow got linked to mine and my music was coming up under his Apple and YT music. Distrokid told me there was nothing they could do
You got to keep a close eye on how you enter your meta data when switching Distributors. There could be a name similar and only certain distributors lets you claim your profile to avoid those issues, make sure your signed up with Spotify for artist and Apple music for Artist to help avoid this. Hopefully you got all this worked out already
And my PayPal set up with $50 Witch they said it takes to start they said I made 54 cent off 168,000 streams not even the 54 cent posted after they sent me a fake invoice BIG 🗑

Hey, if your having this problem still , the easiest way to find your music link is to log into your distribution account and find your songs master link which should be in the "promote" tab inside United Masters.
My main issue is you cant link your TH-cam account to your distribution, makes it 100x harder to garner revenue from your videos
You can claim your TH-cam Artist Channel Directly From TH-cam, United Masters Does distribute to TH-cam , so when your Artist Channel is Claimed By you, you have more control and see more analytics within your TH-cam Studio, therefore back inside united masters you would see your TH-cam sound recording revenue more clearly within statements

However, in some cases you can re upload your music and youll be fine, and the way United Masters Sets up your Google & TH-cam SEO is a win for me. I think they are equally useful

im saying, I released 5 songs with them and one blew up and got over 150k streams. When I was supposed to get paid they said that I didn't have enough proof that I own my music. I had no features or anything. I then sent them my copyright documents, etc. and I still haven't got paid. Over a month now I've been dealing with this. They took down all my songs and said that they wouldn't be rereleased until I "prove" that I own it (which I did already)

Now I've yet to use One RPM but I've heard that their pros are that you have access to certain opportunities like sync licensing and PR directly from within their platform, but more companies are offering the same. It's worth taking a deeper look into!

Hey the reason why I’m watching this video is cause I’m thinking about switching to UM after distrokid did some f*** s***! 😡 another artist who has the same name as me his music somehow got linked to mine and my music was coming up under his Apple and YT music. Distrokid told me there was nothing they could do
You got to keep a close eye on how you enter your meta data when switching Distributors. There could be a name similar and only certain distributors lets you claim your profile to avoid those issues, make sure your signed up with Spotify for artist and Apple music for Artist to help avoid this. Hopefully you got all this worked out already
