After getting rid of my cellphone after I retired, I saw that life required a cellphone in just about everything you need to do in life so I pulled the trigger and applied my house phone number to a new iPhone 15. It is a big leap from the old android phone I had. The first thing I did was shop for cases and screen protectors and the Gripzilla stood out on Amazon so I purchased it. It was a bit had to put on so I searched TH-cam and found your video. Thank you! Your down to earth review was just what I needed.
Smartish Gripzilla is an underrated classic. I had this like 3 years ago for my iPhone 12 Mini and was really happy with it. The groovy, gripped sides and the grippy texture on this case are unique and unbeaten. The name „Gripzilla“ is serious. And please keep your way of measuring the magsafe strength with that Nomad mount 😃
I love the Wallet Slayer vol.2 by Smartish. Lightweight and comfortable and holds all three cards in the back, and this is coming from a Casetify Case for the iPhone 15 Plus.
This is my weekend warrior. Being outside a lot on the weeken, in the back yard, bbqing, I need a strong protection for my phone and this case is just amazing. Almost didn’t buy it because of the aesthetics, but it’s not bad at all for all the protection I get from it. Grip and fit are amazing. Such a sturdy case. Not the prettiest case but does an amazing job.
I just ordered my spaced out Gripzilla directly from Smartish because last time Amazon took two and a half weeks to deliver. Smartish only took five days. I also just ordered another flower case. I might order a clear case as well. I wouldn’t have known about them if it weren’t for you so thank you T.
thanks for the advice on this case! this is the second video I have watched on it from you (the other one was the iPhone 16 case video) I preordered my 16 pro max and just bought this case, I am very happy about it coming in tomorrow and being ready for game time when the phone comes in thanks again, your videos are always super helpful
I love my Gripzilla for my 13 Mini, and I have used either the Gripzilla or Gripmunk for all my phones for years. The magsafe is ridiculously strong- almost too strong! It's a little too heavy for me though.
Funny, I've kept this case in my cart on Amazon for a while, just haven't hit the buy button just yet. Great review though! I love the love it's getting.
Hey, Tee! I've been enjoying your videos for a while. I like all of the things you touch on in every case review. I'm not sure how much other people care, but I'd appreciate it if you'd note whether a case has slit buttons or not. I prefer cases without slit buttons because I don't want any lint or dust making its way through the slits to the phone. I know cases use slit buttons as a way to have responsive buttons. I prefer cases that have responsive buttons in other ways, such as floating buttons. Keep up the great work!
Is this fit better than the previous versions? The reason I ask is because I had this case for my iPhone 12 Pro and dropped it from my back pocket, it came off and nicked my phone around the edges.
Love the content man, just subscribed a few weeks ago. Any opinions on “Bare” cases? Specifically the Bare Armour that they’re releasing in Natural Titanium. It looks great, but I’m new to the case game and never heard of em.
It’s actually my go to case after you recommended it for the 13 I think? I use the Gripzilla for work and the slim for home. Also, unlike the Caudabe, it holds up better when you use wipes to clean your phone.
I used the Caudabe sheath for almost a year and not once did I have to clean it because it had smudges or finger prints. I did a few times to clean it and sanitize, but again, never to clean smudges or fingerprints. Also dropped it 2-3 times and not one scuff mark.
I might have missed it, but is it missing the small section of the MagSafe that’s on the bottom of the magnet? That little line at the bottom? The magnet to help with side to side movement
You’re referring to what’s called the “alignment” magnet, and I think it’s in there based on other companies I’ve asked who don’t show it but still have it.
This case and the Gripmunk are affordable alternatives to the Dbrand Grip Case. Are they as nice? No. But the grippy texture is very similar. AND the buttons on the Smartish cases are better than Dbrand.
Keep the nomad base! If you’re adding another method, fine just keep this as the baseline testing. If you’re speaking about “scientific”, we need the baseline for testing. 9:50
Btw tee you can switch to those magnetic sheet & a gauss meter. (Tech up! Channel does exactly that). But your 600g+ base is next best thing. I hate when influencer ask to increase the price. Never do that please.
Yeah I could and I actually have a gauss meter and have for awhile. It's just sitting here collecting dust. I did have some magnet paper as well but I don't know where it is lol.
Hmmmmm that's tough and I have a few options. Caudabe Synthesis hasnt come off my phone. Phone Rebel Gen 5 is up there too along with the Spigen Enzo Aramid fiber version.
@@Lachlan_McDougallthe Caudabe cases are not very grippy imo. I think the synthesis is actually more slick on the back than the sheath. It’s also odd why they only put the new microfiber lining on the sheath and not both cases. Makes no sense.
Idk I think it's fairly rated. The thing is extremely bulky and doesn't really look good so. I don't see anything that stands out enough to be noteworthy.
I emailed Smartish and they replied back fairly quickly explaining something was wrong with their printer for the custom colors, they got it fixed and will be sending a replacement case. Great customer service! @@TechnicallyTee
🙌🙌🙌 We always love and appreciate your reviews!
Ayeeee! Thanks for stopping through!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Hey keep killing it with the phone cases and wallets. Just got my first case and wallet from you guys and couldn’t be happier

Thanks man. People want me to get real scientific on the measuring but man idk lol.
I agree keep the nomad mount it’s a great tool for MagSafe strength 🙏🏻
Love Smartish. Been part of my case rotation for the last few years.
It's been such a solid case.
Absolutely love Smartish cases! I purchased the Gripmunk for my iPhone 15 Pro and LOVE it.
Honestly I think Smartish cases are better than the Caudabe cases. Not to mention half the price and Amazon Prime.

Keep the measuring tool! I know if a case can pick up that puck, then I can trust my magsafe accessories aren't going to pop off easily.

Great review as usual! When’s that top ten coming?
Here for the fam and the great review. There are so many cases from smaller companies that are coming out with some bangers.
Absolutely and they really deserve the attention! 💪🏽💪🏽
I like the way you currently test the magsafe
Funny, I've kept this case in my cart on Amazon for a while, just haven't hit the buy button just yet. Great review though! I love the love it's getting.
Yeah man have to give love to the cases that get the job done.
Smartish cases are on point. You are right Tee, very underrated.
Yep.
Smartish is actually dope af. Got my first one for the pro max and no matter how many others I try, it’s the one I go back to.
Smartish is very underrated. Gripmunk and gripzilla are the best bang for your buck frfr . Great review tee ❤
Yeah I have to go and snag the gripmunk. Thanks as always!
@@TechnicallyTeeyou gonna test the gripmunk? Torn on gripzilla and gripmunk.
Great video Tee, as for switching the MageSafe strength… nah keep doin’ what you do
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Just bought this case for my iPhone 15 plus the same black color I love it
Tee, pls never change the magsafe test ;-) its the indicator for magsafe strength.
Dang!! I almost bought this yesterday. How does it compare to the other one?
The other one as in the Gripmunk? If so I'm taking the Gripzilla over the Gripmunk every day of the week.
@@TechnicallyTee the regular gripmunk is pretty thin and I am enjoying it

Yeah I usually mention it but thanks for bringing that back up. I will make sure to mention that next time.
Unfortunately the Sheath has slits. It’s also overpriced compared to the Smartish lineup. Honestly regretting getting a sheath.
Tee are you able to review carved cases? Their live edge and their travelers cases? They look nice. Thanks for the reviews tee. Love your videos.
Is this fit better than the previous versions? The reason I ask is because I had this case for my iPhone 12 Pro and dropped it from my back pocket, it came off and nicked my phone around the edges.
I think it for sure fits better that the previous versions. It's the tightest it's ever fitted.
Love the content man, just subscribed a few weeks ago. Any opinions on “Bare” cases? Specifically the Bare Armour that they’re releasing in Natural Titanium. It looks great, but I’m new to the case game and never heard of em.
I've heard of them but I don't have a bunch of experience with them. Thanks for that support homie! 💪🏽
Great review! I learned something today.
That's what I'm here for! 💪🏽💪🏽
nice video as always! I would like to see a gripmunk review
Yeah I might order that one as well.

Yeah these cases with the textured material I've found for sure hold up the best.
That case looks really cool with that Titanium color man! 👍
The smartish slim is AMAZING!
I'll have to check that one out.
The slim is the gripmunk fyi
Case is A1! Gotta be in the top 5. For the price it’s a steal
The buttons on that case are the best for buttons and protection. My wife loves her wallet slayer.
You are spot on. Smartish is great and the price is right! It is always part of my case selection.
Yup!
is the back plate slippery? I found it slipery on older model when it first came out.
I don't really find it too slippery.
I found it a little too chunky compared to the synthesis.
Yeah for sure it's more chunky than the Synthesis. I was just comparing what the back feels like between both of them.
I might have missed it, but is it missing the small section of the MagSafe that’s on the bottom of the magnet? That little line at the bottom? The magnet to help with side to side movement

Hey @TechnicallyTee , when are we going to see some reviews for the best clear cases out there? for the 15PM?
Just got this in! This thing is awesome. I’m very picky
I can't buy this in Romania. They have no delivery here :( sad...
This case and the Gripmunk are affordable alternatives to the Dbrand Grip Case. Are they as nice? No. But the grippy texture is very similar. AND the buttons on the Smartish cases are better than Dbrand.
@technicallytee are you doing a 15 PM latercase cyber addition?
It gives out an Otterbox vibe a bit.

I wouldn't say it's extremely bulky and I just think not many people know about this case and for the price it delivered just about everywhere.
I have the same base, but in black..... If the magnets can pick this bad boy up....... THEY'RE STRONG!!!!!!
Yeah those magnets are legit for sure.
QUESTION>>> Does yours smell like chemicals? I got mine in on Saturday and it's a great case... but the smell is STRONG!
