My wife stole my rebel case because she loved it as soon as I put it on her phone. Personally I found the back corners a little sharp and didn’t like it as much but her hands are smaller and doesn’t have that problem.
The newer gen 5’s that are being sold no longer include the metal engraved rebel logo instead they are now printing “Rebel” in white on the metal logo.
I used the gen 5 on my iphone 15 pro and the metal camera ring doesn’t touch the back glass panel at all since there’s actually plastic that sits between the glass and the metal ring
Dude HOLY SH!T GENIUS LEVEL 200 i never even thought about doing the screen protector like that 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Definitely doing this NEXT INSTALLATION!!!!! Thank You 🙏
Unfortunately with Phone Rebel you have to buy the latest Iphone model to use their latest case. You MIGHT eventually get this case for an Iphone 14 but you can forget about Iphone 13
Love my aramid fiber case. Got the frosted to try and magnets lasted a day. Took phone out of case and magnets came with it. Had such high hopes for that case too
1 problem with phone rebel. There cases good but they always out of stock and always 2-3 month late bringing them out. I’m waiting for mine now to arrive
I agree I think with this year‘s GEN five it took a little longer because of the metal ring around the camera lens as well as the intermetal frame. I got mine in the mail a couple days ago and I am extremely happy with it. It was definitely worth the wait. I just wish I could’ve had it for my best and worst Cases video.
2 feet is shocking… but I guess the logic is that the screen is supposed to take as much shock as possible to save the screen. My last crack happened when I dropped my phone and the glass broke but the screen protector was fine. So maybe coverage is the most crucial
I didn’t even attempt to put on the screen protector because it doesn’t have an alignment tool. Confirmed that with their customer service too. I’d probably prefer for leaving out the screen protector and just making a cheaper case.
I’ve had mine for almost a week. It’s an awesome case and I have nothing negative to say about it. But the included screen protector is bad. The one I received had rough edges and a visible rainbow effect. Phone Rebel used to include FLOLAB screen protectors which are very good. So I just went and got a FLOLAB and it fits perfectly with this case. Hoping they make the camera ring and Rebel badge in orange to match the buttons.
Nice review on the Phone Rebel I’ve got last years one , the only thing is they haven’t got the frosted or clear one out yet and the gen 5 is not available for the 15 model only the pro and the pro max sadly 😎🇨🇮
The Gen 5 is for all 15 series and also 14 pro max variant but they don’t have stock at the moment for the normal 15s but they do make them for the normal 15s
That depends , the Pitaka is slimmer and lighter and a little slick. The rebel has more metal parts so it’s a bit heavier but can be customized and has more grip. I absolutely love the metal buttons. For me it’s the rebel, hands down.
I recently rcvd my Phone Rebel gen 5 which replaced the Benks case I had on my Pro Max 15. I'm still on the fence about the textured sides, it feels a bit rough to the touch and the case does add some bulk to my phone. Swiping from side to side, up and down is a big plus design wise on the Phone Rebel gen 5. If I decide to keep the Phone Rebel case, I may just use it for work.
Me too, but Phone Rebel has a drop test video on their channel (th-cam.com/video/wgBRB5lceAw/w-d-xo.html) in which they drop a bunch of iPhone cases from 50 feet onto rough concrete, including cases designed for withstanding drops, which includes the Gen 5, and the Gen 5 comes out pretty much on top, protecting the iPhone at least as well, if not better than, the heavy-duty full-enclosure two-part cases.
Hi sir, you reviewed alot of cases, but I'm in dilemma. Having the 15 pro max. Can you recommend a sub $50 usd case that isn't bulky but would protect the phone really well and go with that natural titanium color. I'm paranoid about the back glass and lenses breaking when dropping the phone.
The limitless has the aramid fiber back and MagSafe just like the rebel but it’s got a raised edge all the way around the front and plastic buttons. I think the rebel is better because it’s got customizable metal buttons and only has raised edges in the corners which will still protect your screen, but allows you to swipe up and from the sides much easier. The rebel also has textured sides for better grip where the limitless is a little bit more slick with no texture. The rebel definitely feels more premium to me.
Great case who cares how much it weighs or about customer service the price is right comes with a quality tempered glass the case itself is second to none in the arimid fiber game people are ridiculous always griping about the most bs lol
I’m DONE with Phone Rebel. No customer service, everything is sold out before it’s available and then it’s never available. As popular as they are it seems like it’s nothing but poor business to not have a case ready at drop and not have any inventory
Oh this is interesting. I was not aware of their customer service issues. Just started using their case this year. Any of the customer service stuff documented?
Many of the case manufacturers are bigger companies and get mocs/dimensions of the phone from apple prior to launch to have it ready. I’m not surprised if they don’t give the designs to phone rebel early since Everythingapplepro used to make many videos about iphone leaks years ago
@@swingkat Customer service is fine lol He probably looked at the crystal and frosted and saw they were sold out even tho they have not been released and threw a little temper tantrum. I've been using these cases since Gen 1 and never had a problem.

The corners this year are way better than the last two for sure.
@@armen7932 oh wow so it used to be even worse
@@swingkat yup it’s been improving over the years.
@@swingkat the raisivity of the corners are kind of a handling vs protection trade-off. I think they realise that handling is more important.

How is the metal frame of the camera inside the case? I was wondering if it will cause scratches to the back of the phone because its metal

I’d be worried inside the case, the screws around the camera scratching the back of the phone..

The case is the best I bought so far. Thank you for the video.
Those stickers are for guiding the screen protector to the phone?? thought it was more dust remover stickers. 😮
Really like mine, the only thing it needs is to be wobble free when placed back down. Probably replacing it with a Nomad Rugged.
Nice video man!
he knows what he’s going with his cases 😮💨

Flolab makes the best Aluminosilicate screen protectors, IMO.
Never brought a Phone Rebel and was really keen but they have nothing available which is a joke
Do you have to buy the different colour buttons separately?
Yes

Is that have strap holder? The 2 small holes where we can put strap on?
Benks has it beat.
Pitaka MagEZ Pro vs phone rebel gen 5
Which one is the best.

The Phone Rebel case weighs 55 grams. Does it feel a bit heavy? How does the on-hand feel compare to the Pitaka case?
I say pitaka magEZ pro
Pitaka MagEZ pro is overrated and overpriced
Compare with Benks , Which is better
Uh Benks is more cosmetic. Protection wise it’s not even close. Rebel wins
Grip is better on the rebel
