As a tip for everyone: If you have friends with very bad internet that have a hard time joining your server, then you can do the following: In the same file where you change the RAM you can add "-Dfml.readTimeout=240" so it for example says "... -Xmx8G -Dfml.readTimeout=240 ..." (standard is 30). This will extend the timeout limit so your friend has more time to join and won't be kicked right after they managed to join somehow. I searched for this everywhere because a friend of mine has very bad internet. She can play fine but connecting never worked. This little command fixed it for us and now she can connect and play perfectly fine. I hope I could help somebody with the same problem! 😊

Type in "Java 17" in your browser and go to the site called Oracle. Then find the version that suits you (mine is Windows x64 bit) and download it. Once it's done close it and re-open the Run.bat and it should load properly.
Everything went fine, but when I put a mod into the mod folder, then my server doesn't start anymore. The version of the mod I the same as of my server: 1.18.2 (Biomes o plenty mod for example)

Ok when I run run.bat it tells me it "Could not find or load main class @user_jvm_args.txt" even though it is clearly in the same directory and the only change I made was removing the comment

Why on this version of forge don't generate the .jar to launch the server or where is? I can launch this server on my pc with run.bat but when I try to launch on a dedicated online server on paid server I can't because in minecraft server panel require say what is the archive.jar of the server.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

it could mean that you have multiple java versions so try to delete an old version and make sure you have java 17

You need to update to java 17, there is a tutorial in the description named something like FIX JAVA VERSION

is there anyway to get a jar file for the actual server i use a program on my computer to portforward but it doesnt work with bats only jars

I uncommented the Xmx4G but when I run the batch file it shows the same thing as when Xmx4G was commented. Is there a fix to this?

It's possible that Java requires an update. It gave me an error saying the run.bat was created with Java's 61.0 runtime, but mine was in 60.0

You just have file extensions turned off in File Explorer.
