Phsyically being at the Grand Canyon is one of those bucket list MUST SEE items IMHO.... I saw it three times in my life and every time was different! (Once on the ground after visiting Flagstaff AZ , Once by helicopter after visiting Las Vegas, and once from an aerobatic stuntplane UPSIDE DOWN over the Hoover Dam. (Because I was inverted, True story!) They offered aerobatic flight experiences out of Henderson NV, and the pilot took me out there and we flew upside down for almost 20 minutes over the dam and the lake north of it!
