The only tips is have are- There’s a lot of people at peak time so get there early . Don’t hang around others. It’s hot and you’re at an altitude. You get tired sooner and it’s the desert! Bring lots of water and don’t walk too far. If you’re not keeping up in terms of walking time just turn back. Don’t risk it. Nobody is carrying you back. Well maybe. But you’re going to get the bill.
I need to go back one day to check out some of these trails! I went there a few years ago one October when I drove out to Utah and Arizona, and I only had a few hours there as I was going to Sedona. I think all I did was walk the rim trail along the South Rim. The views were quite amazing when I went!
I always end up watching your videos when i plan a trip. I literally just booked my airbnb in AZ then opened TH-cam and saw this video. the timing is perfect 😂
Don't miss the Stargazing in the Grand Canyon! If you drive into the park and can drive away from the Villages by heading east or west there is some amazing star gazing at night. Easier to do in the winter and early spring times for sure but very much worth it. My wife and I did it during the Valentine weekend and it was truly an amazing experience near the Hermits Rest.
Bout to be there mañana to celebrate my 20th year wedding anniversary 🎉 I can't be more thankful to experience this wonder with my beloved wife. Thank you for the amazing detailed information, God bless you!
This is such an in depth video ! I’ve been to the Grand Canyon for a day trip, and I had no idea about all these other things that you can do while you were there! Thanks for taking the time for making this. I’m sure it took a lot of time and effort.🎉
My grandmother has always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon, and me too (don't worry, we're both fit). I'm really taking some notes here, this is a trip we'll be doing... probably by next year if all goes as planned. I wish there were more travel channels doing what you do; amazing stuff as always!
hi Chris, I was just there last month, love getting memories of my trip come up by watching your video. Also for people who would like to visit during low season, February is a good month to go, just know there is snow on the trail so you have to be prepared and some roads are closed.
Planning a trip with my wife on in the first days of August. Never been there before. We understand this is not the best time because of the heat, but can’t come later. We want to rent a camper van and stay there for 1-2 nights. Thank you for the video! Very informative, useful and not boring to watch 😅
Great video as always Chris 👍🏻 We’ve only been there once and we did the Helicopter tour out of Boulder City, landing in the bottom of the canyon for a nice champagne breakfast. A bit fancy I know but I wanted to surprise Wifey and spoil her 😘
New subbie here! We are in Grand Cannon Natl Park as I write this comment, great tips!! Definitely beginners, but the rim trail is accessible and paved almost the entire way. Walk out under Lookout in the village is a safe, easy stairs to get below the rim shots. Tomorrow morning we will attempt 5 min walk down Bright Angel to the first carved arch, I think it’ll be a great experience and even if it is slow going back up, feeling confident we can manage 10 minute walk uphill ☺️
I'm visiting Grand Canyon for the first time next week. I only plan on spending maybe day there. I'm on a road-trip so there are other places I want to see like Sedona, Monument Valley and Zion Park.
thank you for the detailed information giving us much comparison with each rim and point or Origin (Phoenix or Vegas)..We haven't. been to Vegas in 10 years, and we skipped Grand Canyon as we dont know which route to take, but we're going to West this time, as most convenient and shortest travel time, which is our preference..Appreciate It much.... more power to your channel.
Absolutely high quality content, Chris! This video really help me plan for my upcoming trip to the canyon in June 😊 A big thank you for putting in the work and sharing this video with the world.
New subscribers here! Thank you for sharing Chris❤️❤️❤️ been watching your videos this past weeks.. will be going to LA this April. And planning to go to Grand Canyon also. Keep up the good work! Cheers from Japan
This was really very well done and sensible and helpful for travelers. I am going in September and have saved this to reference before I go. Thank you.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the wonderful info. The train ride from Williams would be a very convenient way to visit the Grand Canyon. I would love to take the mule ride to the bottom and stay in one of those cabin. I think that would be a cool experience. Take care.
Also, I stayed at the Maswik and I can tell you it is a good hotel, the bed was good and the rooms were updated, I saw some reviews where people complained about the rooms of the hotels near the rim, where the beds were old and the rooms were not good, so please everybody check out a lot of reviews prior to booking.
Amazing scenery of one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Not sure I could make the walk down, Chris, let alone up. I like the idea of a mule to take me though. They look pretty hardy. Wish I could see it. Thanks again.
I recorded this in December. Right after Christmas. You can watch my full vlog of the trip here: th-cam.com/video/tu7uLSBPxCc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3e-PASdj2gnC62u0
Last minute Grand Canyon trip. I’m from Chicago visiting Scottsdale and taking a day trip to GC So overwhelmed Whats the popular trail with rails called? Have kids with me so don’t want anything to strenuous. Thank you
Not sure about a trail with rails.. but the rim trail is a paved trail that is nearly flat and just goes along the canyon edge. That's what I'd do if you just want to admire some views
Great National Park videos. Remember veterans get in all national parks for free. The rangers will give vets a special card you show with your driver's license.
Chris did you get a chance to take the traveling princess to the Polar Express since you went during the holidays? (Or maybe it's in Williams, AZ). I apologize if it was mentioned, I didn't get a chance to watch the entire video this morning.
I’m truly sorry to say that the native tribes have turned the Grand Canyon West into an all around ugly commercial experience for all of us. Don’t waste your time and money on visiting the Grand Canyon West. An excellent and highly informative presentation as always, Chris.
Hello, I have 3 tickets for "the Sphere" for March 18th, but I had to postpone my vacation and can't sell the tickets because I don't have a US tax number. In short, I would like to give you these 3 tickets. What are you saying? Thank you, LG André from Munich
Thanks Strathmania -- Although I make a ton of videos on Vegas I live in California about a 4 hour drive away so we wouldn't be able to use them this weekend.. I do appreciate the offer though
We did the glass sidewalk. Complete waste of money. They won't let you take your phone out and take pictures. They will only sell you pictures. They don't tell you that till after you spend a lot of money
How much did you have to pay for a permit to film commercially in the Grand Canyon? Is it different than other national parks and how long does it take to get it? Dumbest law ever.
Thank you for your video. Grand Canyon is a great place to visit. I would like to respectfully disagree with you on what to me is an important point. You have no doubt been told your whole life the earth is millions or billions of years old. I believe the earth is actually about 10,000 years old. When I saw the Grand Canyon, I immediately thought of what the Bible says about the Flood of Noah's Day in Genesis. The Bible says all the fountains of the great deep burst open. When I saw the Grand Canyon, I saw one place where this happened. It was an inspiration to me and a confirmation of Scripture. Please honestly consider my views. All the best to you.
A little history, before 1848 the Grand Canyon was from Mexico, as well as all of Arizona, California, Utah, New Mexico and Texas, unfortunately you live in a country with an imperialist, consumerist, stealing system and all its "wealth" It has achieved this through military interventionism, but economic dominance works better for them, which is why the gringo economic model has no friends, it has $$$$ interests, and the Grand Canyon is no exception, it has created a whole marketing for rich people, instead of the natural park that belonged to us in Mexico being free
you’re not wrong. but Mexico for 300 years until 1821 was part of colonialist Spain, let’s not pretend they were any better. the truth is no one owns ANY land. the indigenous people were stewards of the land as we should all be. land ownership by any person or nation is inherently theft.
Not true on my he airports many closer than flagstaff and if your talking only international then you have bullhead city/ Laughlin which is international and way closer for smaller ones you have kingman havasu and even McCarran Las Vegas would be closer than flagstaff and I have to look it up but I never heard flagstaff as an international one
hey chris I got confused I keep thinking of the west but still you are wrong bc kingman for sure has comercials flights and they have united I know bc my daughter works for united but to the rim you are talking about which ive been to also from las vegas then maybe flagstaff is closer i still find i very hard to belive its so out there also so cold and nasty and like 3 hours from kingman etc but im interested in the grand canyon west I keep forgetting your only talking about the main one where all the busses go to which is way better than driing yoursself and paying 35 dollars anyway thank you!! @@YellowProductions

Thanks Janelle! That was definitely my goal! So many people go for a day trip and don't get to see all the other stuff
Thank you! Your video is the best for helping people in preparing overall and also details for those who have never ever been there before!
Thanks vt!

I have been to both rims and I prefer the North Rim. The views and trails are spectacular and the crowds aren’t near as bad.
Thanks for the report on the North Rim
Great video. Very informative and helpful for planning.
Thanks Janice!
Omg!! This video jammed packed with info. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

@ 0:28 ...it is ludicrous to believe that the Colorado river carved a canyon 18 miles wide and a mile deep in places.

Yeah. The mule ride does sound like fun 😁
Thanks Chris.
Super helpful, thank you so, so much!
I was worried after this video because I only reserved two days for the Grand Canyon😢 I’ll need more
Thanks Chris. I've been there twice.
Sweet!
In what month did you record this video at the canyon? I was trying to avoid the busy season.
I recorded this in December. Right after Christmas. You can watch my full vlog of the trip here: th-cam.com/video/tu7uLSBPxCc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3e-PASdj2gnC62u0
Grandpa Richard wants to do everything the Brady Bunch did when they visited the Grand Canyon
As always, more one video with all the information. I only had one doubt: Why haven't I gone there yet?
Thanks Gilberto! Now you've got a place to visit on your next trip to the USA 😀

Not yet Juliet

Negative.. we didn't ride the Polar express. Will have to do that next time :)
At 21:02 Caught the attention of people that like to wave at a camera, like when the news media is trying to make a TV report....lol.
Is the $80 annual pass per car or per person? My husband and I are visiting 3 national parks next year so I just wanted to know which would be best
The pass is issued to a person. But it gets the whole car load of people in
Do you have a Grand Canyon 3-Day itinerary recommendations??
Check out my full trip vlog. You can see what I did in 3 days: th-cam.com/video/tu7uLSBPxCc/w-d-xo.html

So you should have a tour guide?
@L3WGReacts this explains everything you were confused about in the last video
The buses are accessible by scooters??😅❤??
Nice
Do you tip the shuttle drivers?
Nope

What is the best gps app to use going to grand canyon?
I used Google Maps after downloading the offline maps
Base jumping there is a hoot. 🙈🤕
That sing was definitely orange
Maybe I just see the world with yellow colored glasses 😀
Lol @ international drivers doing weird stuff 😅😂😂. Ill probably go in early winter.
Legal.. 😎
Can you drive in a motor home?
Yes. There are RV campgrounds. So you've gotta be able to drive it in
We did the glass sidewalk. Complete waste of money. They won't let you take your phone out and take pictures. They will only sell you pictures. They don't tell you that till after you spend a lot of money
The Disneyland of the Grand Canyon

I'm visiting for navo tacos
