      Colin Cowherd is 100% right. Tim Tebow wanted to play QB. He was offer to play fullback, tight end, and still delcined. Com on, u actually think your going to take Bradys spot. Tom Brady can play better even when injured and Tebow would still throw more Ints. He should of went to Jville.

      King Joe Bo Jackson and Primetime were born with god-like talent. Tim Tebow played on the Florida Gators with Urban Meyer as the coach. He's been blessed but I never thought he was gifted. He's just a jacked dude who is high on religion.

    • @sitizenkanemusic
      @sitizenkanemusic 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bo was a pretty friggin' unbelievable outfielder. His arm was also uncanny (along with his legs, footwork, sports IQ, etc). Check out his throws he made from the outfield to home plate. He would make a perfect throw from 400 feet- from the outfield to home plate.
      And just imagine if he didn't get hurt in football. He would of been one of the greatest power running backs of all time (my favorite RBs are Barry and Walter- totally different kinds of RBs than Bo). He was the fastest man on the field, but also the most powerful man on the field.There will never be another Bo.
      It takes a certain special person to play both in the MLB and NFL at All-Pro levels. The fact that Deion and Bo did that is mind boggling. Just pure insanely freakish and amazing. Not many people can fathom the gifts they both possessed.

    Isn't being in Single A baseball the definition of working, Colin? He is no where near close to the Majors. Let the dude play ball at the minor league level. Who is he hurting, honestly? He isn't out there claiming he should be in the Majors. He IS putting in the time. Sure, he probably won't make it to the majors, but a lot of others won't either.

      Kash the point he is making that some people don't even get that chance to be on that team. Tebow literally got this cause of his status. He never played in college or anything. So why does he deserve to get baseball gms to look at him during a tryout

      dont give me that bullshti argument, he isnt taking any oppourtunities away from anyone. If "some kid" is good enough to make it to the majors, that kid WILL make it one way or another. Regardeless of weather or not a celebrity was on his minor league team. He is getting the same treatment as everyone else, and hes not robbing anyone of a chance to make it. That being said, it appears tebow is gonna get cut really soon anyway.

  • @mojojojoslyfoxharris
    @mojojojoslyfoxharris 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks Colin for summarizing why Tebow didn't deserve this shot in the minor leagues. (1) He didn't work hard for it because he was working hard at football before baseball while there was a guy dropped from that Mets minor league to make room for him despite dedicating consistent years of hard work towards just baseball. (2) Tebow took baseball because he wasn't willing to bet on himself in the CFL which was his chance to re-establish his credibility as a QB. (3) There's no way Tebow was going to be successful because you can't just be a good athlete and expect to be immediately good at a sport you haven't done competitively in nearly a decade! The fun fact I thank Colin for reminding is that Jacksonville was willing to give Tebow a shot and it couldn't have turned out worse than it did with the Jets while Tebow would have an easy fan-favorite down back in Florida!

    Hey Colin when was the last time you went to see a "single A" game. Can you name any of his teammates? You may not have any regrets in life but as someone that does have regrets I wish him the best. If a single mother were to try and get her degree would you tell her, 'you're not smart enough just get a job at a fast food restaurant'. Critics Risk Nothing.

      TheShootingRangeTV what are you talking about? Your example is flawed. If a lady showed up at an accounting firm having taken 2 accounting classes in college 15 years ago and wants to be an accountant would be a proper analogy to what he is saying, and has much truth to it

      @UnBR0k3enAngel 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TheShootingRangeTV Your analogy is a bit too easy. Think if a single mother, who averaged a B in HS math classes, decided to skip college, and demand a job from the largest firm in America. She totally deserves it, though...

      @TheShootingRangeTV 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jacob, Tim Tebow is playing for a single A minor league team. It is a developmental league. The people that complain the most about Tebow playing baseball are the ones that never go see a minor league team play. Tell me, who, that has ever played for the Gulf Coast League Mets have ever made it to the big leagues?

    • @TheShootingRangeTV
      @TheShootingRangeTV 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He is not starting for a Big League Team. He is playing at Single A developmental team. Basically he is taking classes to see how far behind he is. Yes he has 1 in a million chance to make it. Yes he is a dreamer like Collin says. Do you think Colin was a dreamer before getting into broadcast and making it as a successful sports guy? Allow Tebow the chance to chase his dream like we would want for ourselves and our children.

    This is sports colin. This is entertainment. No one cares about how hard you work in entertainment, they only care about the finished product. Tebow brings people to the stadium unlike any other A ball player. Look at all the actors in the world. There's millions of them in the country right now looking for a job, yet they'll be some good looking dude that just happens to decide he wants to act and lands a big time role. This is how entertainment works.

    Tebow just simply won't put in the work. It's what happened in his NFL career and it's whats gonna happen in his baseball career. If he was serious about his baseball ambitions, he'd be spending extra time hitting BP, he'd work on his fundamentals, he'd be doing everything he can to reach the next level, instead of walking away on most weekends to be a college football analyst.

  • @derekwilliamson5386

    Everything Tim Tebow does is to make headlines and it's so blatant. He had to play QB. He wouldn't even contemplate playing a less glamorous position like tight end. He incessantly talks about his religion. The bible contradicts this way of thinking, and to praise God and not show off. Once all his relevance is lost, he switches sports.

    Tebow hit a walk-off home run to win Thursday night’s game and has very respectable numbers so far in St. Lucie, with a .972 OPS, a .327 batting average, 10 RBIs and three home runs. He’s currently on an 11-game hitting streak. Hey cowturd Everywhere he plays the stadium sells out.

And I also looked at the years I sat through dealing with so many jerks. But honestly I cannot care any lesser if you just walked in and said, 'hey all these pills, I can do this'!
    So, what you're saying doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I'm a dreamer too.
    Dream on, dreamers!

    Comparing sports to the regular work field makes no sense. There's plenty of kids straight out of high school in single A and Tebow was a successful high school player in his day, so he's actually as qualified as some of the guys there. Hard work and focus to be great is what Tebow is known for, how do you think he had so much success in college, it wasn't by being lazy. The guy likes Jesus a lot and you the media made it a big deal and made him a "distraction" in his NFL career. Just cause he didn't pan out in the league as a QB doesn't mean he didn't work hard enough, only a handful of QBs are successful in the NFL and the rest aren't much of anything. The guy has money and has plenty of offers to make more as an analyst for numerous networks instead he's paying his dues by playing in the winter league and now in single A. Do you think he thought he was just gonna walk into baseball and be good? He knows the work it's gonna take if he ever wants to advance and if some team is willing to take time with him even if it is to sell more tickets and merchandise so be it. I'm sure guys like Barkley and Shannon Sharpe and the numerous other former athletes these networks higher just to bring more attention aren't nearly as qualified as the guy who's been grinding away in college and local news stations trying to get to that spot.

    that's not true Colin. Bill Gates once said I'll take a lazy employee over a hard working employee so long they get there work done on time everytime". there are tons of people who are very gifted at what they do but don't put in a ton of effort. that's not always the case, obviously, but it happens. there are some test takers out there that can spend little to no time studying and still get an A.

    I'm just saying, people call Tony Romo the most underrated QB ever.
    Romo playoff wins: 2
    Tebow playoff wins: 1
    Romo seasons as starter: 10
    Tebow seasons as starter: 1
    Says something doesn't it....

He has almost the same HRs on team as others who have played for ever. Get over it, he is at about .220 now. I played college football and college baseball. He has real power. He is in the bottom barrel again and you stans just sit here and pray that one day he will be competent in the lowest of the minor leagues. The dude put time into football so its obvious at 28/29 he cant just pick it up again.
