    Back in 2002, my first lady friend Ingrid had a slate blue 4 door '88 Sunbird. She'd had it since new and called it Rosey Blue. Ingrid looked like Princess Zelda and never knew it until I told her. I had been a fan of the games since the first one. I fell in love with her at first sight and she was an actual witch.

    Fun video and great filming technique. I'm digging the old car, I agree about the vac lines of that area. Kind of ridiculous. My Wagoneer was like that and I eliminated alot of it.

    Pretty cool! I have the distinction of owning 2 of those old Sunchickens. Both were 77 coupes. 77 had the honeycomb looking grilles which i think are the best looking like a 77 TA. One was a V6 auto that I did both the motor and trans on, swapped the interior from tan to black and gave it a black paint job. It was my high-school ride back in the late 80s early 90s. Fun car and I drove it everywhere.

    • @robertsieber8374
      @robertsieber8374 ปีที่แล้ว

      My second one I traded a guy a beat 80 Camaro for. This one was a 77 4 cylinder 4 speed. It had the old iron Duke, like a 250 chevy with 2 cylinders lopped off. This thing was mint! Medium blue with white and black interior. I got hit at a stop light so that ended that car. I had a set of the honeycomb wheels like the Trans am ran.

    • @flatbrokegarage
      @flatbrokegarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The original one my wife owned was the 6 cylinder, I believe it was the Buick 231. I had for a short time a V8 Pontiac sunbird formula. That was a blast to drive

    • @robertsieber8374
      @robertsieber8374 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @FlatBroke Garage yep. Mine had the 231 Buick with a TH350 trans. Had decent power for what it was. I had a stock rebuild in it. I did the trans when I was working in an old garage in my town. The old guy who owned it was in his real late 70s still at it and had everything to rebuild it. I threw a shift kit in it. My other 77 had the previous 4 cylinder engine, not the crossflow head. I'd love to have another one.

      @FlatBroke Garage yes sir. Especially up where I'm at in Pennsylvania. Last H body I saw for sale in my area was a 78 buick Skyhawk hatch. It was not bad condition wise. A lot of the plastic interior was shot.

    The grille in back seat is from 1980 Sunbird. But, car could be 77-80, since Iron Duke was not offered for 1976. GM went all HEI distributors in '75.
