Easy to follow, but when I click output to new layer with mask, it's not on a transparency? How do you get the image onto a transparency? I have the overlay set to onion skin - but it doesnt work. What am I doing wrong?
I believe you should hold shift. I am not sure though, but on most programs, if you wanna select multiple items, you press and hold shift or cntrl (most of the time)

there is no options bar. Resetting my toolbars does not make it appear. This does not work.
