Just had an issue similar to this. No EKA code on display, but security alarm on door opening and engine disabled code when trying to start. Disconnected battery and reconnected. Put key in ignition and set to #2, before cranking and let sit for about 10 minutes. No issues now.
I have to enter eka code every time to start car. Those the eka code sometimes need to be entered with a diagnostic tool or maybe my key fob is faulty.

You need your EKA code and follow this procedure. Sometimes the code is under the brake pedal rubber. Should also be in your manual. Failing that the main dealer can normally help.

You'll need to obtain it yourself. Your dealer should be able to help FOC. Its sometimes under the brake pedal rubber and if you are lucky enough to have the original manual pack it may be in there.
If you don't have it you can ask your local Range Rover dealer and they will issue it free of charge. Some may ask to see the V5, some may give you the history of the vehicle too. On some (Mine included) it's under the brake pedal rubber.
I've set off my alarm accidentally by locking the doors manully. My key fob does not work is why I locked the doors manually. Apparently that sets off the alarm, and now it will not even crank. If anyone could help please tell me what is an EKA? And where do I get one for my 2000 Range Rover?
@@rtechlab6254 Yes, that's what I was thinking. However, I don't know the EKA code for my 2000 Range Rover HSE 4.6L? I didn't get a security card with my RR when I bought it used a few weeks ago. I think, but I'm not for sure, that the EKA code would have been on the missing security card, correct? Or is there a universal EKA code that'll work on my RR?

@@rtechlab6254yes it says engine disabled…..just put a brand new 110ah battery on it and had a new key made at Classic Rides North Wales. Key fob will not lock/unlock drivers door……can’t get the key to sync, have the EKA code from LR….no chirp when entering code…..any ideas please?

It could be fob, the pickup round the ignition key or the Becm.

I'm not totally sure what you are asking. this works independent of the lock, provided the lock microswitches are good, this will work.
Worked without the beep. Make sure you hear the locks working, then you should be fine.
So, bo beep, don't panic, but no luck noise.....

You need your EKA code and follow this procedure. Sometimes the code is under the brake pedal rubber. Should also be in your manual. Failing that the main dealer can normally help.

Sunroof not set can usually be fixed by opening the sunroof fully in both directions
i went through my code and it didn't do anything. Do i have to wait a certian amount of time before i try again?
I believe it does put a delay in for longer each time you get it wrong.

@@rtechlab6254 Yes, but it only comes on if the key is turned all the way over like I am cranking it.

Hi….I’m thinking about buying a p38…..it won’t start….no EKA number with it…..I’m in France….I’m English….
Is it saying engine disabled on the dash. Theres a number of reasons it might beca no start
