Nice one Harry. I've been to Sri Lanka 6 times now, and going again in January. I have been doing the same, traveling of piste, and giving money away to these wonderfull people. Earlier this year, I hiked the last 40 miles up to Ella along the railway track, where I was able to stop, and take in the views, rather than the fleeting glimps of the sceanery. I'm 74 now and hope to do the same or similer , on my next visit. Keep up the good work, and enjoy your life.

Materials must be cheap to finish the house with a 100 dollars, he does all the labour. That's not a lot of money at all but I am glad you gave it to them, if you had given him 200 dollars they may have their juice bar or guest house in a year's time, it wouldn't have broken the bank?!
