    The more I see the focus, the more I’m liking the appearance. Great video as always, well done 👍

    Steven, your archery videos are the best! Thanks so much for taking the time to put produce these. That Supra Focus looks friggin sweet! Wish my local shop stocked more than just hunting bows so that I could give it a try.

    Great Video! I've been playing catch up on your videos for the last few weeks and have to say you are becoming one of, if not my favorite archery content creators. Sure it's hard to Nock Dudley(pun intended) and even though he's now moved to PSE, I think you are the better brand ambassador for them. I've never owned a PSE and honestly I probably never will as I've been Hoyt loyal for well over a decade until the last couple years where I took the easy route and switched to Mathews. A good PSE dealer is hard to find in my area(though you could also argue that for Hoyt now) so that plays a huge factor too.
    Keep it up Steven!
    edit: I will disagree with your statement about peeps not coming out even though it's not tied in. The bows I own which follow that rule are my target bows -Podium/Proforce. It also won't come flying out of my Carbon Spyder FX but I think some of that may have to do with it being 25" DL and 45#(50# limbs backed out two turns). All my other bows from my '14 Carbon Spyder, '15 Carbon Spyder Frankenbow, Defiant, and RX-1. I don't know if they fly out of my Mathews but I would assume so since they all still run Zebras and the string is a bit loose at both draw and brace.

    Great, very informative video. I had no idea that you could use dental floss as a serving. My PSE dominator max MD has natural /white cables and string so that will work perfectly! My peep sight came way high and needs to be dropped around an inch and I'm going to tie in the reset peep myself for the first time. Fingers crossed 😁 thank you for all your reviews and professional advice on bows and accessories and repair work. You ARE archery my friend 🏹🏹🏹

    I have found that using the center shot lazer tool from Topoint is the easiest and most accurate method for setting the arrow rest position. I did have to tune the tool before I could use it, but I have no regrets buying it so far.

    I like the supra focus because you see, I'm still growing, I'm 13 here, I'm going to be gradually needing longer draw lengths and some of the other top of the line flagship bows on websites like Lancaster Archery Supply only have 1 draw length option, with the mods going at 60 dollars a piece *cough cough* trx 36. And since I'm a teen, I can't get a job (in the states, my state (Ohio) needs someone to be 14 in order to work somewhere, even then, it's a limited amount of hours because of school. But I thank you for this video, and with all of your reviews, they are really helpful and I am looking forward to more reviews and videos like this in the future ;).

    On the loose weights and mod screws something we have used is string wax on the threads and it helps a good bit.

    Looks like a nice bow. I bought a 2018 stinger from you at the start of June, it’s my first bow and I’ve already taken third place at a local ABA shoot. I’m consistently in the top 3 of my local club shoots, so it’s as good as you said it is. I’m already fantasising about my next bow, I’m really keen on the 2017 Carbon Air 34 because it’s nice and light, this Supra looks like a nice option too, being lighter than the Performs.

      Stinger is really good. New bows are always cool

      Archery Supplies I’m loving it. I put a TruGlo sight on after my ABA win, bought a used 10” stabiliser from a club mate and today a Trophy Taker drop away rest arrived. I found every now and then I’d have a really random shot that was 10” or so off target, or now and then an arrow would hit at a real strange angle, it seemed to always coincide with the whisker biscuit being all messy and twisted, so hopefully the new rest helps with that. Next addition might be one of those Dead Center V2 stabilisers. Looks like a nice piece of kit from your review.

    Hi, i have a 2019 fx6 obsession does it need a rear stab as well as front stab

    Great review as always Steven.
    Its interesting that you say that you have had to set the draw length a 1/2 inch shorter on the Focus [based on the module indicators] compared to your Perform, I found the same thing on my Focus. My PSE Xpression is set at 27.5 according to the modules, the Focus is now set at 27
    After having it for 2 weeks and shooting a dozen scores over distances from 60 to 18 meters I am now confident in saying that I have picked up 2-3 points over the Xpression and shot 3 PBs. As I settle in to the bow I believe there are better scores to come

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I need more than 3 points. But well done. Interesting on the draw. It is just what felt right. I had two Expressions the same one at a different draw to the other. So maybe I am in between?

    Steven, on color of that bow.
    I think that is new Satin Mercury color, not old Sky Blue like you said in previous video.

    There seems to be a trend now for all the stabiliser weights to be screwed directly onto the stabilisers, it doesn't make sense to me. Screw most of the weight on the rod for sure, but then have a rubber damper with a little more weight on the end of that. It reduces the vibration and also reduces the likelihood of things coming loose.
    But, great video as always, Thanks.

    What do u think is the best compound bow made

  • @BrandonBAMF197

    Do you know what could be causing a 7" nock right tear? Using a spot hog edge with the 0.010 blade cant fix it set at 60lbs 30" 340 gold tip velocity xt with 150gr tip

    Very interesting seeing your issues keeping arrow on the rest.
    Nock pinch perhaps?
    Please let us know......
    Were you just struggling with the poundage?
    Is the cam the same as on your perform?

    • @vikingofengland
      @vikingofengland 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say the d-loop is pinching the nock, maybe coupled also with too high a poundage.

  • @bowhunter0762
    @bowhunter0762 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your D-loop is pitching your arrow nock, that’s why it’s bouncing off your rest.

    Which bow is better pse Supra focus or pse perform x 3d

    • @wcwcgarner2717
      @wcwcgarner2717 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The focus is cheaper. And target shooters really like it. The perform it's a shoot throw raiser and more money I shot both and I like the focus . Holds well.

    I hope you will do this test soon --> Perform score vs. Focus score... I need a new bow! ;-)
    Do you think the Supra Focus with #50 is strong enough for Target Indoor 20y? for outdoor 55y maybe better buy the #60?

    • @vikingofengland
      @vikingofengland 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      50lbs will be more than enough. I shoot a 47lbs Supra MAX up to 80 yards no problem.

    without any holding of) the bow,( touching of the bow ) with out, what you have for weights on the bow, does it lay forward in your hand.

      I was happy I did not hit it but the arrows were on the left. Not sure if that was sights or me trying to miss the new camera.

    Id guess the perform will give you more scores. :-)
    Its the chopping and changing that adds to inconsistency.
    Pick one and stick with it for a few years.

    Kind of a double standard saying I need to shoot an overpriced arrow threw an under priced bow to be a world champion , toothpick size arrows don't make you shoot better , it's quality !
