Idk why indians are hated the most in this situations even though ,people from any other country do the same thing but nope gotta point out at indians becouse they are the bad ones right...messed up world we live in
The school fees are expensive compared to what they can earn from working…. It’s around 77k per year before tax for a job such as police constable, 17k goes to tax, 20k goes to living expenses, 40k goes to school fees. There’s no way Indian students can earn more than a police constable in Australia.
Chinese and SEA ones I can believe.. But South American? If they can get a student visa in Australia, they could get one in the US, and that's where they go.
When one goes to another country, he is not going as an individual, but as a representative of his country. Indians need to keep this in mind for the sake of their country’s reputation.

As an Indian student who lives in Australia, I can gurantee this is 100% true. I know so many North Indians who drop their course or never attend the class. Instead they work 365 days so many jobs. On the other hand, students from Kerala and Tamil Nadu study hard and complete their course. So, the North Indians make more money than South Indians during their course time. As a north Indian student, I think that whatever south indians are saying is kind of true. I've seen my peers always debating about religion. It's more like a fight. Whenever there's a news which specifically involves religion, Pakistan etc. my classmates get very hyped up. It's good to some extent but the problem is that they see everyone from a particular community with the same glasses. They don't work on themselves or try to learn new skills. As a North Indian, i feel if situations continue like this, this part of the country is literally doomed for good. This is one of the reasons why i want to just leave my hometown.
I feel like north indians are very satisfied with mediocrity. I had a north indian brag about how developed india is becoming and how his state is progressing so fast. He was soo proud of his state's 60% literacy rate, and I was like it is common to have a literacy rate of atleast 90-95% down south 🙄. Also they are OBSESSED with Pakistan. Like why would you keep comparing yourself with a poorer country, shouldn't you compare & compete with China or USA? I find it so meaningless. You will never see Bengalis obsessed with Bangladesh or South Indians obsessed with Sri Lanka. What is so special about a poorer country like Pakistan? Even the north indian media is complacent for this bizzare phenomenon. A lot of North indians are all over twitter/internet arguing with foreigners over how better india is compared to their countries (which makes me cringe) but at the same time migrate the most to other countries. You will never see, say a Swedish person, brag about their country non-stop because the STATS speak for themselves. I did my masters in UK, and there were about 15 indian students in my course. Only 5 of them ever attended lectures on a regular basis. Everyone else was working in restaurants and had plans to apply for asylum. I have no idea if the others actually graduated, but I met one guy in a bus once and he told me to apply for asylum stating that if I go back, my life is under threat. I returned to my country the day before my Visa expired. I am not saying most Indians do this, or that only Indians do this. I am from Sri Lanka, where we have lots of people doing that in all kinds of situations (athletic events, etc.). It's all to do with the upbringing and the value one places on themselves. I have suffered during my time back in my country, but I would rather live here legally than live in a foreign country adding to the already bad reputation of my own.
Alot of Indians in Australia are working illegally. Probably nearly a half of them are doing cash jobs or other such under the table stuff and there's little the govt can do because Indians along with Nepalese are the largest component of the work force. Every year they're forced to allow more and more in.
I was enrolled in Portuguese college for an MBA last year. Unfortunately, my visa got denied twice, so I left pursuing the course. I had classmates from several countries, but many students were unable to go there due to Portugal's delayed visa application system. We all attended online education for the first whole term. I had one classmate from Bangladesh, who was also not able to get a visa. He legit told our online group that he is going to apply for Schengen visa and go to Portugal, then burn his passport and seek asylum of any kind to stay there! He was given this idea by another classmate from Iran! He also went to Portugal on basis of asylum due to prosecution in Iran at that time.

As a north Indian student, I think that whatever south indians are saying is kind of true. I've seen my peers always debating about religion. It's more like a fight. Whenever there's a news which specifically involves religion, Pakistan etc. my classmates get very hyped up.
I am not saying most Indians do this, or that only Indians do this. I am from Sri Lanka, where we have lots of people doing that in all kinds of situations (athletic events, etc.). I met a Muslim Indian in the U.S. not long ago who says he was in school for some sort of tech degree. He was looking for a job and I asked him why he didn't get a job in the field that he was learning about. He said his classes are all online and that someone picked the least expensive and easiest degree to get. That someone was actually taking all his online classes and tests.
He only came here to try to marry and become a citizen. He eventually wanted to move his entire family here, who were in the process of trying to do the exact same thing.
Edit:
He was only here because of a student visa which it was obvious, he wasn't actually getting the education. I do wonder once he graduates what he will do then. My brother is an Australian permanent resident. I have been to Australia and seen this firsthand.
I met an Indian "student" who came when the upper limit of hours for student to work were relaxed as a temporary measure due to reduced migration. But now when it is back to normal, this student stopped attending classes to work full time illegally - employed by no one else but by another desi paying cash and below minimum wage. I asked why he is doing this - he said he will not get any respectable job in India and his pay will be even less. He said he will save up and get lawyers to challenge deportation. Worst case, he will spend as long as possible in Australia and then get back with dollars. I suspect his Indian degree was also fake and his main motivation is to get a NRI stamp and earn more dowry.
Sad to see so many desperate and playing the system. If this continues, Australia will entirely stop Indian students.
