Great work I have made 3 link on my samurai acording to your information and it works exelent. Only problem i have is with front drive shaft , it is to much angle i think Best regards from Serbia
I’ve thought about it but it most likely won’t happen. To make in a kit form would be tough because the samurai frame isn’t the easiest to work with because there are no easy land marks to work from and every thing needs to be welded on since the frame is a tube. But who knows what might happen.
So what type of material did you use for the links and mounts? I’ve been thinking of linking mine I was thinking of using a universal kit from Barnes 4WD but after this video I’m convinced you did it for half the cost of the kit lol I take it all I would need to get a similar set up as yours is about 20ft of tube, 9 Johny joints (I’ll sacrifice any headache or binding for road comfort), and some 1/4” sheet to make the brackets?
Dude... I'm obsessed with this things. So clean man! Keep up the good work!😎
Thanks!
Some good engineering there.
Hell yeah, thanks for making this video.
good stuff
Great work

At full droop I’m at the drive shafts angle limit too.
Have you ever thought about selling your own suspension kit ? Love your Samurai and videos

In an effort to save weight my links are 1 3/4 x .120 wall DOM. King of the Hammers usually bends 1 or two. All the brackets are 3/16 plate.
I assume this rides vastly smoother (and therefore faster) than ANY kind of leaf spring suspension? Would it compare at all to a (stock) Side x Side ?
@@dbmiller5881 it rides pretty good, not quite as good as a SXS but close.
@@ultra4suzukisamurai679 awesome, thanks for the great overview!
@@dbmiller5881 I’ll be doing a video on some suspension tuning on it soon.
nothing to add, other than man will that thing be even cooler with a turbo ;) looks like the tie rod heim bolt is trying to go on vacation haha
The turbo is getting close. Good eye! I just had the drag link off and missed tightening it. lol.
👍.
