It’s a full size pickup. I get similar mileage out of my Land Cruiser 200. I laugh when people think it’s too low. I always say “You want better mileage? Buy a Prius!”
That's not bad with a giant tent and brick of the tundra for aero dynamics. I built mine with the intent of being able to do abit over everything as overlanding is something I do maybe two times a year. My truck on 35s im still able to get 15.5 - 16.5 hwy and 11-12 city. Averages out to like 13.5 per tank so this isn't much worse but I love my truck to death. I definitely need a better more efficient daily though XD
Damn... my 2003 silverado was getting same. Now that I switched to duramax I'm getting 16-18mpg with a 36 gallon tank i can go 550+ tell I need to fill up again. Down 2mpg from no gear out back.
Awesome rig, very well thought out. I got a lightly used base model 4x4 a couple yrs ago (Frontier), and plan to do some mods over time. I know people with lockers who never use them, and I haven't needed them yet, either. Nice job!
Thank you! Nice, I love frontiers. They are good trucks! Yes that is true so many people deck out their vehicles and never even use them. Makes no sense!
That’s a nice rear bumper, it really set off the look of the truck! Great build, been following you since you first got it. Keep up the great content 👍
Heck yea man it’s pretty cool, definitely makes life easier! Nice, have you done any mods to the swing outs? I’m contemplating doing some type of table that folds down
Sick truck buddy! I hit the leaf springs on my Tacoma with good ol’ WD40 every time I wash it. Seems to work 🤷♂️ I’m going to try chain lube like you suggested to see if it’s any better!
Thanks brotha, for some reason wd40 for me only last a couple days. I read the chain lubricant helps keep dirt and stuff out better on some forum . So far so good lol seems to last a while
Thanks! No it doesn’t come with flooring. Just zips to the top of the awning and comes down. I was thinking of rigging up a floor at least for the side section with a tarp
Thanks! Well im sure there is a million reasons not too do it but I haven’t had any issues. I ran it the same way on a fj cruiser I had years ago for years and never had an issue with that. I’ll weld something in eventually, on my never ending list of things to do.
Truck is perfect kept simple with the all right parts to get there & back from the trails. And enjoy your time while you camp in comfort.
Great job with this build. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 👊🏼
I know I’m gonna get asked my fuel mileage! On a good non windy day I get 12.5 mpg. On bad days around 10 mpg lol

😂😂😂 that’s the truth! We don’t build these things for fuel mileage lol

Love the build. Pretty functional and cost effective.
Thank you!!
That back bumper is sweet, Expedition One looks like quality stuff.
Thanks bro, they definitely make good stuff. Can’t wait to bash it on some rocks lol
Great video, thank you for the walk around. I like the looks of the Cali Raised rock sliders. Think I might have to put those on my 2020 tundra.
Thanks! Yea they have a nice simple look to them, they also have an option to put a filler plate on top.

@@bfm_overlandoh I know how it is, we’re all just big kids with bigger toys haha
Love the Trailed water tank set up! I may have to do that soon. I am running the same rear bumper so I have that same open space
Heck yea man it’s pretty cool, definitely makes life easier!

Nice rig. Lets go wheeling...
Thanks! Always down for some wheeling
😍😍😍
That truck has come a long way.
Tasteful and purposeful mods.
Auxbeam lights are solid for sure!!!!
Hell yea brother, can’t wait to get out again!

Sick setup man, we love watching your videos. Quick question about the drop down room for the awning. Does it come with a floor?
Thanks! No it doesn’t come with flooring. Just zips to the top of the awning and comes down. I was thinking of rigging up a floor at least for the side section with a tarp
love you vid! quick question with the body mount chop, without the plate weld on the truck does it affect the truck or the frame?

Brother, I am in south of Austin and have a 2nd gen. is there any chance I could meet up and check out that Expediton 1 rear in person?
No prob man! Are you on Instagram?
