    Anything catching holding water is a feeding and breeding ground for mosquitoes. Trash, ridgid house gutters, gutters with no slope to drain, pick up bed liners, tires, pop top caps, and more. That's coming from a mosquito expert I talked with!!!

    • @floridagal150
      @floridagal150 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A mosquito can lay eggs in a soda cap if it has water in it, I can't imagine how they try to sleep at night. It's very sad.

    • @thefabulouslyamazingchristy
      @thefabulouslyamazingchristy ปีที่แล้ว

      Yesss sirrr I concur.... I feel like these are abandoned homeless camps, from what I've learned and even experienced for a brief period of time the majority of homeless folks keep their area as clean as they possibly can, like they'd make sure to not have anything holding stagnant water in it to breed skeeters in, nope in fact it's quite the opposite they do their best to get rid of skeeters and other bugs LoL and they wouldn't just leave a dead raccoon or any other animal lying around around near their camp! This gentleman is showing abandoned camps and it appears that the people that resised in the camps left quickly considering all the gear left behind...

    • @tomtee4442
      @tomtee4442 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We all want to help the homeless but letting the homeless live in tents committing crimes from mistemenors to felloniones each day is not working. Most of the homeless are out of the homeless camps in the day working. Not working a job working to hustle, steal, pan handle, swindle, pawn, con, prostitute, rape, human traffick and even murder to get their next high. Homeless it's a huge criminal crime ring in the cities all linked to the homeless and (mostly) very bad people. I've learned a lot by riding my bicycle around watching and the homeless talking to me at times while I'm out eating or taking a break. They need real help not more drugs because they are dieing fast from overdosing on drugs, self harm, suicide and homicide.

    • @LaurieS-si3ec
      @LaurieS-si3ec ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if you think about it it is because the new or condos in the new apartments are not catering to people with lower income! We have 55 and over communities that have three bedrooms and yet they're either a very couple or single because their loved one has already passed away! You can't find a rental or department that has more than three bedrooms! I could show you so many areas that it just screwed up the whole entire landscape, and it didn't help nobody it screwed everybody up because it doesn't help people with rent control

    I'm not so sure that this area that u are currently touring is a homeless camp, yes I've seen some trash, lost/left behind and forgotten items but pretty sure there was no camp at 1st, now at about 7mins that was a camp but before that definitely not a camp, ALSO I'm 150% positive that the bug spray u found wasn't for huffing.... Matter of fact please please please don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way or that I'm being rude, hateful or disrespectful in any manner cause I swear on my dead daddy, my 4 kids and my gbaby that I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful BUT I definitely take offense to the lack of knowledge u are spreading in regards to less fortunate folks, the life they live and how and where they live! Never make assumptions about things u don't have proper knowledge of and then spread it like it's fact!! Try talking to some of those people, spend 48 hrs with them and then come back and fill us in on what u've learned

    Too bad you weren't in the actual city of Tampa throughout the whole video, these parts of Hillsborough county you are showing haven't changed in 30 yrs. I know theses areas like the back of my hand. You go through suitcase city that's what you are going to find, homeless and or people living day by day. There have been parts of Tampa that have and will always be ghetto and there are parts of Tampa that are somewhat unaffordable for the average person. Take a ride down Bayshore, Davis Island, through South Tampa, Harbor Island. Nothing has changed there in 30 yrs. Worked TGH for 20yrs, have family who live on Bayshore. I realize you are showing what gets peoples attention and it's sad that people get off on others misfortune, which shows what a self-centered world we live in. Ps let's be honest youbare there in the day time and the chances of something happening are rather slim however night time could have a different outcome. I use to see many of the homeless population at TGH, many good people who have some horrible stories, be it job loss, drug abuse and the biggest issue lack of mental Healthcare, it's heartbreaking. People need to get off their high horse, go out there and meet the general population, volunteer and stop exposing these people because when people do they may see a whole world that is out there. God Bless

    I live somewhat near to woods, and I realize homeless people go in there. I easily ignored them until the accumulation of litter, which I reported to the police. They went, investigated and ignored it. So I called the City and they made the homeless people leave and cleaned up the piles of garbage. Eventually the city or county cut down the trees just to keep the homeless out. They definitely are growing in population regardless what neighborhood you live in.

      I hate the fact that they’re cutting trees to prevent homeless people. We need trees for shade as pedestrians too. We need shade for other plants to be able to grow. We need shade for the wildlife. You know how many kind of woodpeckers we have in those Tampa woods? So many, or used to anyway. We can’t afford to get rid of more Florida forest when there’s already a ton of it gone, and no affordable housing being put in it’s place.

      Please actually do not go to the springs. I feel like that’s the absolute worst of them all.
