If you’re looking for upscale dining, try the ever-changing menu at Mis en Place or make a reservation at Cafe Ponte. Pia’s Trattoria is also a perfect place to take a date thanks to its romantic atmosphere.
Many of the best restaurants in Tampa are unassuming and small. The West Tampa Sandwich Shop has some of the best Cubans in the area. La Teresita evolved from a grocery store to a wonderful restaurant. You may not notice Lunch on Limoges because it sits inside a clothing store.
Eating its Harvey’s 4th Street Grille is one of the most unique experiences you can have in Tampa with its cobbled-together decor. You shouldn’t miss a chance to watch a movie with your meal at Gigglewater’s Social Club and Screening Room, either.
Tampa’s residents come from almost every culture, and its restaurants reflect that.
Try the Chinese food at Yummy House, go to Zukku SUshi., or feel transported at the Mat
Mongkolratanam Thai Temple. Mykonos feels as Greek as can be, and Donatello has plenty of authentic Italian food. Eating at the Oxford Exchange is like taking a trip to England, and Rome + Fig has a multicultural menu.
Tampa is right next to the water and full of delicious seafood. Try Ted Peter’s Famous Smoked Fish, Lorene’s Fish House, or Frenchy’s Original Cafe to get some of the best.
The award-winning Bern’s Steakhouse is one of the best if you’re more interested in turf. You can also try Council Oaks, Malio’s Prime Steakhouse, or Tara Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse.

It is just extremely interesting that people will leave negative comments, but they have not taken precious time to make a video to provide ideas. It's just that people. It's simply ideas. At the end of the video, he asked others to provide their recommendations. Cazador Grill is a great Peruvian restaurant. Great work Sir!!!

From a long time Tampa resident, this video left out: Cappy's Pizza, Queen of Sheba (Ethiopian), Brocatos ( the best Cuban sandwich in Tampa), Carmine's Spanish restaurant in Ybor, Dunderbox (A great German style), "Alverez" authentic Mexican, and the most HUGE omission that is perhaps the best BBQ you have EVER had: "Big Alabama John's BBQ"
Floridian - Kennedy Ave - Best Cuban on the planet.
I do love Brocatos but haven't been there in a while.

La Teresita is an absolute MUST restaurant. This is the best Cuban food in Florida hands down. Eat in the diner, and save money. The parking lot is always full so park with caution.

I’d say so far, though, our faves are urban cantina, acrópolis in ybor, goodie goodie, gasparilla and due amici pizza in Valrico, mandolas and little Greek. We’ll be making visits to all these spots in the future to give a glimpse of how awesome they are😁
Bern's is by far the best Tampa has to offer. Such a cool spot.

When I first moved to Tampa 25 years ago I pronounced Dale Mabry, Dale Mawbree
Sacred pepper is very unique, the atmosphere and decor is almost as amazing as the food !! Eye-bor 🤣🤦🏻♂️
@@nicktru93 yes sacred pepper is a very nice restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing and I love going to women's happy hour! The prices are even very affordable if you want to take your family.
Good mix, but should be called Tampa Bay area. There are places you listed that are more Tampa adjacent.
And there's only a couple of beaches in Tampa and they're not well known. Well-known beaches are Clearwater Beach , Treasure Island,St. Pete Beach. None of them in Tampa. Tampa has NO Gulf Beaches they are only on the Bays. Beer Can Beach, Ben T. Davis Municipal Beach and Tyson Beach, to name a few.
All locals please comment your choice of number 1 that was out of this line up because u-le-le is good and nice atmosphere but I think most locals wouldn’t even put it in the top 10…my number 1 from this list is berns & definitely don’t skip the dessert room
facts! Ulele is good but definitely not the best i’ve eaten here. Berns and Terra Gaucha are definitely up at the #1 and #2 spots.
Burn's has the largest wine cellar in America, 10,000+ bottles!
The best meal is at the Derby Lanes in st.petersburg. its in the enclosed club house,seats 500 in leather chairs and tables. open only friday and Saturday nites! valet parking, the entrance is on the right hand side, up the hill, all u can eat buffet!! Snow crab, oysters on the 1/2 shell, prime rib,fillet wrapped in bacon
scallops, pork chops, duck, ribs, italian, greek,spanish, africian, it just keeps coming! by reseration,ask for the Derby Club restaurant!
I lived in Tampa from 1970 to 1978 and as far as I’m concerned Bern’s Steakhouse is #1 and The Columbia #2.I was to both restaurants about 10 years ago and they are even better than they were in the 70’s.
Catch 23 in Westchase, Ellla's American, Folk Art Cafe in Seminole Heights and Hella's Restaurant and Bakery in Tarpon Springs.

Definitely some great ones..please get the geography corrected..many of the restaurants were Pinellas County..also El Cap just sold and Munch's sold...Cafe Ponte closed for at least 3 years

I live in the area, and Iavarones his hands down my favorite restaurant. Third generation Italian steakhouse. They could charge a lot more for their food than they do!

Try Eddie and Sam's new York style pizza 🍕 located downtown! Also try Moreno's bakery located on highway 60 in Brandon! One stop meal and dessert on the go or you can eat in! Fantastic food!

I wish you had mentioned Kokopeli ( also in Dade City). It's one of my favorites for both the food and the atmosphere.
My favorite go to for good reasonable home cooked Southern and traditional food is trips diner on Florida avenue and three coins diner on Nebraska avenue both located in Tampa! Must try! You won't be disappointed!😋🤤

@@OnViewCation I'll have to give it some thought. My initial impression is you have a pretty good sense of how to get what matters to a location. Charlotte, NC is a favorite area of mine. Maybe you could profile their restaurant scene?
Also had good meals at Carmine's in Ybor City and Mr. Dunderbak's. And a good Argentinian steakhouse is Renzo's Carrollwood, where I ate after touring Big Cat Rescue nearby.
As an Ohio resident spending winter in Tampa...sorry....I discovered Louis's Garden Grill on route 580. Hands down the best food for a great price! Within the 4 weeks I've been here I've eaten there 4 times already. I love supporting local mom and pop restaurants and shops, and this one is a gem!

As someone born in St Pete. You can call any part Tampa bay but you can’t just call it Tampa. Tampa is a separate city. El Cap, Harvey’s etc are not in Tampa, they are in St Pete. Did they make this video from California?
Yeah, it would've been nice if they listed the address. I was completely unfamiliar with quite a few despite living and working in the area for decades.

Very Good review of Tampa restaurants! There is one other restaurant that is a hidden gem. Shrimp Boat in Riverview. Very good seafood cuisine for reasonable prices.

One missing place is Michael's Grill! It's a must-try for anyone coming down to the Tampa area. Been a family favorite for years.
Pretty solid list. I would add Arcoiris and Amarettos in Tampa and Gigis and Skidders on St. Pete beach

The Black Pearl in Dunedin has an internationally known award-winning chef. A little Pricy but excellent food.

I went to Black Pearl a few weeks ago and was a bit disappointed. Apparently chef changed more recently, prices went up, and quality went down. I was not very impressed.
Cafe Ponte closed a long time ago!
Frontier steakhouse is another hidden gem over on sligh and hwy 301 about 3 miles from the hard rock casino.

Burn steak house is overrated
Yep, since Bern passed away it has slid downward and was run by his son. It used to be THE steak place to go, but when you pay 70.00 for a filet and it's chewy it is time to find another place. My favorite now is Council Oak Steakhouse at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. Great food and melt in your mouth tender filets !!!

Cafe Ponte has been closed since the pandemic but I noticed this video is only 9 months ago. If you're planning on going to any of these places, definitely make sure that they're still actually open

Mykonis in tarpon springs isn't expensive and has the best greek food. Also the Columbian is half the price at lunch, no flamingo dancers but the food is the same

from tampa, never been to berns mainly because when people talk about it, it never seems to be about the food, dont get me wrong im sure the food is really good(and desserts which isnt my thing are supposed to be next level) but its always "i had an 80$ steak" not that they were complaining, but more that its an accomplishment or something to have an expensive steak rather than rave about it being one of the best steaks theyve had. just wanted to know whats some other peoples opinion on berns?

First thing mentioned is beaches. Tampa has no beaches. The beaches are all in Pinellas county
They have the causeway beach and beach off of the Gandy before you get into Pinellas county.
Berns is SUPER overrated. The decor and ambiance is crap. The food is just meh. The wine list is impressive however.
Boujee Food 😝 tell us the places where the REAL LOCALS eat…. Most are tourist attractions for me

Clearwater and St. Pete are not part of Tampa, they are different cities.
Tampa bay area. Anyone with a car here considers this one area and is constantly traveling between them.
