The only way that you can get the carts out of the parking lot is to put the carts upside down and drag them out once you get them 100 yd away the wheels will not lock😂 I seen someone doing it one day and I asked him why they had it upside down and that's what they told me😂

I appreciate the work you do Nick. I have to mention though Colorado and Washington legalizing marijuana was a massive, long overdue development that drew in many types of people, from folks like these here to PhD students, medical professionals, lawyers, and many others. Nobody winds up homeless because of weed though but some stoners are homeless because of the cost of living. I'm one of them. I work full time and would rather save my money than hemorrhage it on rent. I've been in the workforce 20 years and finished college twice while smoking weed everyday. The problem is housing genuinely fails the cost-benefit analysis. It's gotten so out of control that the only way to be financially responsible is to cut it out of my budget.

Lived in a Tahoe in Denver, 2018, not an addict, made $18-20 an hour. Studio apartments are expensive, $900 a month. It was a ton of work, driving to the gym, self storage, fast food, freezing temperatures. The city of Broomfield made it illegal to sleep in your car. Tried to sleep in a VA carport and was escorted out by security. The VA doesn't consider you homeless when you have a vehicle to sleep in!

$12,000,000 for a couple of those tiny tent cities? WHAT?! For 12 million you could build multiple dozens of mobile structures including the over sight of people you would need to make sure they run properly. There are grifters in the charity/philanthropy industry that need to be audited but not enough responsible people to do it. Perry seems like a high functioning addict, I can only imagine what he could get done if it weren't for the hard drugs. Really likeable guy.

I work for a few of these counties as a Peer, me and my team outreach everyday, assist, follow up and provide all different sorts of resources available.
Granted we are over run and do not have enough resources but mostly I wanted to give all the people in Colorado and other states that are doing everything they can to mediate between the homeless community and the rest of society.
We don't have all the answers, neither do they.

After watching many of Nicks videos I’ve come to this conclusion: there are ruined cities/towns, red and blue but they arrived that way differently. Red: industry left, jobs gone then poverty and drugs moved in. Blue: drugs came in, homeless came, then society collapsed. Outward changes for one and the other is deliberate. Both are probably deliberate, to weaken our country and our men.

While the legal system becomes a racket to put money in the pockets of the ones in charge. Look at the. Immigrants and the total mismanagement of funds. Nothing gets solved and working ppl pay more and more in taxes and cost of living expenses. You don't decriminalize crime tho and that is wht they are doing. Exactly. Hope all those who voted for these liberals are very happy now. Ugh. It's disgusting. Just FYI, Nick. Was a bit disheartening to hear you call it "Bum land." Not all homeless people are drug addicts, at least not here in Houston, although looks like it's the majority in LA and Denver, San Francisco, etc. Some of them are single mothers with kids who can't afford these ridiculous rents we've got, not to mention school supplies, food, health insurance, car insurance, etc. We have a ton of elderly people who are homeless. They've paid on their homes for 40 years but inflation and property taxes, HOA fees, etc, have skyrocketed due to Biden's policies and the Fed with their sky high interest rates, they've lost their homes to foreclosure which is extremely sad. It's a bit better here in Houston but we still have the same issues. The absolute WORST is to see homeless veterans who served our country on the streets, while that bastard Biden and his woke libs are busy feeding and housing illegals and sending BILLIONS to other countries (and taking illegal kickbacks) and the first thing they want to do is talk about cutting Medicare and Social Security. NO. F that! Let's take Congress lifetime benefits first then we'll talk.. It's criminal what he's done to this country!!! They did get EXACTLY what they voted for.

One thing I never wanted to be growing up, was an entertainer because of not being motivated enough to hold on to a skill. I might have been influenced by the adults I have been watching throughout the communities. Made me unconsciously look at the economy, which some sayings might be true. About what one character starts out to do, somehow during their growing they hold on to the important parts they like. No matter what I did, it still surrounded me around the economy. Even when I try hard to ignore the things in it, those things I try to ignore are the first at my door. Somehow our system has a way to see things they want to stop. Who tries to push me one way, but forces me to go the other way. That helps me to see things so clearly, in who accepted, and who are not. Every time the table turns a different acceptance comes into play. Because we have individual thinkers directing the groups that follow them. Just imagine the presidents that we had, and if all of them made individual decisions, ignoring what the laws of the lands says. We will see generations with all kinds of personalities and behaviors that are bumping into each other from their teachings. That's the reason we look for those we elect to follow the laws set on the books. So we will not grow into accepting organized crime from our high officials.

Coors Field used to be extremely safe; now it's dangerous, along with the surrounding areas. Interesting part? I've never heard a local living here actually blame drugs and heavy drug use. It's almost invisible to some people, chiefly the people who voted to decriminalize. Also, the Denver Metro area has gone downhill since legalizing marijuana, since it didn't attract the right people (productive members of society) but rather the "living in mom's basement, unemployed/unemployable crowd". @joe9349 Dude. You have to be on drugs so you can be that deluded to pay $2500 a month for a place in downtown Denver.

@@joe9349 I didn’t do drugs, had a decent office career and STILL couldn’t afford the cheapest rents out there. I guess I missed the boat on 100K + a year jobs cause that is what it takes to get by on your own in Denver.

Nick Johnson - You handled yourself and others EXCEPTIONALLY WELL well enough to get a media/radio/tv job in Denver. I know as a resident of MILE HIGH CITY while I was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base as Food Service Administrator on The Air Training Command site. Those were the days NEVER to be forgotten. 1964 -1968

It is easy to point your finger and condemn these people, but there are reasons why they find themselves in such utter misery and not simply just their own poor decisions. This is a hallmark of our utter economic, political and social failures. People with hope, a sense of community and family do not end up drugged out and on the streets. This culture is being destroyed by radical inequalities where a small few live like kings with less and less for the rest of us. This is what happens when the middle class is destroyed.

I moved to Denver in 1994 and the homelessness has only gotten worse throughout the years. Now there are so many homeless that Denver resembles some 3rd world countries in places. It's all by Democrat design - cronyism and corruption are how polis and his government operates there now. Great work Nick. 👍

As a Denver Native I've watched helplessly while West Coast voters moved to Colorado. Colorado changed from a Conservative Red state to bright blue marxist hell.
White Flight is everywhere, I myself sold my Denver home in Washington Park and moved to Northern Colorado. Best move I've ever made, Sad!
Sure home prices are still up, but that's because Biden Bucks aren't worth what the U.S. Dollar bought 3 short years ago. So it's no shock rent and purchases cost more. You can't buy a Big Mac for what you once could.
Thanks Democrats, you ruined America !

The problem is far greater than these unfortunate souls. Put the blame where it belongs instead of being so angry. I was one of these folks, but extremely blessed today. Love and compassion helped me out of my hell, not hatred and intolerance .
