  • A few days off, the weather wasn't looking like it would do us any favours but nonetheless, we packed the tent and all our waterproof clothes and headed to Glencoe with a trip to The Secret Lost Valley firmly bedded into our plans.
We pitched up at The Red Squirrel campsite, thoroughly recommend this wee place, a great compromise between the structured campsites and wild camping.
The rain and wind kept us company all the way through the night and in the morning armed with coffee and porridge we set off on a winters hike to the Lost Valley.
Glencoe is a beautiful place, stunning in every single sense of the word but the Glencoe Massacre will always be linked to it and remembered for its absolute brutality, and so it should.
The Lost Valley is where the few survivors of that massacre hid their cattle, a very awesome feet in itself. We hope you enjoy this wee journey and hope even more that it inspires you to visit The Lost Valley also.
