A Walk through the Streets of Edinburgh Old Town In The Rain

- A walk from Cockburn Street to Edinburgh Castle up part of the Royal Mile on a wet May morning.
This is a bit of a trial for more similar videos. It was originally meant to be one take however the lens needed cleaning from rain drops and the microphone didn't perform very well in the wind so it has been cut into sections.
Filming with a Sony a7iii, Sony 24-105mm f4, Zhiyun Weebill S & a Movo VXR10 (don't recommend that mic in windy conditions).

It's the only way to walk, in the rain dark and gloomy, pelting down. Holding a super umbrella well covered, like my city Dublin. Very like Edinburgh.,🤝 ☘️

I can imagine myself walking down this alley, wearing Victorian clothes and having a handlebar moustache with black round shades and a nice hat with long hair. An woollen overcoat, a pocket watch and purpose.

Typical weather for a May day in Edinburgh. I lived there late 80's/early 90's and I see nothing has changed weather wise.
Haha, yeah still pretty soggy. Waterproof jacket is a must every day... just in case.

I live in the Middle East and the weather in the Middle East is somewhat mild. The year is divided between winter and summer, but when summer comes, it is a severe summer that cannot be tolerated because of the intense heat and our lands become deserts. Thanks for your comment. I think the heat would be too much for me personally, even the hot days during the Scottish summer are almost too hot. Cooler days are what I enjoy.
I spend some time in UK but mostly felt sadness loneliness and felt deeply grief in environment. No doubt people are pretty here but when I deeply observed their faces I I extremely felt they are not happy inner side.although there is lot of money and glamour but no peace and calm in heart.it is my personal experience my be other people's not feeling like this.
It is interesting to see Victoria Street (the clue is in the name) described as 'Old Town' when it is more recent than the New Town.
