is it just me or does everyone call dark souls a ps3 game? it's not like it didn't come out on 360 or that noone remembers xbox. ps3 eventually outsold xbox 360, but only by a slim margin & for the first part of the seventh generation, 360 was definitely defining. & also, I haven't played it on ps3, but from testimonies that I've heard vs my 360 dark souls experience, ps3 dark souls just runs worse, because playstation tried multicore stuff before anyone else was ready & everyone making games hated it, so they made games for 360 first & the ps3 version was more a port (unless it was an exclusive). though fromsoft did make demon's souls for ps3 exclusively & I think they're on the same engine (they are (of course they are, it's havok (looking this up made me realise havok was 11 years old WHEN DARK SOULS CAME OUT. literal year 2000 technology. (well havok 1.0 is y2k tech but it's of course been worked on)))) so one would think they'd know how to use ps3 tech as well as they did 360. idk, I think I'm just gonna have to try plsy on ps3 to see for myself. there are framedrops on 360, but not so that you lose encounters (apart from going up that one ladder in new londo ruins, the frames there are horrid). I guess people call dark souls a ps3 game first because of a few factors (or maybe most people don't & I just have a few examples that don't represent people generally). demon's souls was ps3 exclusive, dark souls came out when the ps3 was selling more, dark souls has more playstation vibes, playstation multiplayer was probably better because idk about ps3 but michaelsoft definitely made you give them money for online play. maybe the playstation gamer audience was more inclined towards dark souls. or a combination of these factors. the reason I care at all is because I have big nostalgia for the xbox 360 & took slight offence at dark souls being called a ps3 game. amendment: the more I hear it the more annoyed I get. try emulate 360 if you have trouble with ps3 emulation. I haven't tried it but I suspect it would be less difficult since ps3 was weird

if you play dark souls 1.0 you'd better be flip havel for a bit at least
