I am extremely saddened by this recent development… it’s unfortunate that they won’t be able to share their family dishes with the general public. It was truly a great restaurant…I thank you for letting the rest of the community know here. I’ll pin your comment so others will be aware as well.
@@travels_wrightLiving near the restaurant, it was among my favourite and I keep a lot of good memories. In a good interview the owner explained her decision due to the inflation and didn’t want to charge too much. She was also very happy for the legacy of her restaurant and wanted to move on and do other projects. So at least, it is a happy ending to a great establishment in the little Italy
It’s unfortunate that they had to run Into those obstacles. I’m happy they have other projects in mind. I’d be curious to see if they start a different restaurant ..?
Figured I would shake things up a bit by having some good food options ranging in price and food type. Genuinely appreciate you watching and I hope you also have great experiences checking out some these spots 🙏🏽.
Love Montréal, one of my favorite cities. I used to come there to dj at parties. Such good clubs and DJ's and as soon as I saw your video pop up in my feed, I just had to watch it because the food up there is just sooooo good. Everywhere is good if you ask me and I've worked in a ton of restaurants. People are very open and friendly. I'm will subscribe to your channel to watch more of you videos. I miss MY MONTRÉAL. Also, my friend and fellow dj Jojo Flores has a place called Jr. Filipino. YOU MUST GO THERE for one of your good food videos. I've also shared your video with a few friends. Thanks for the video, it was very well shot and SUPER HD.
I couldn’t agree with you more about Montreal… it offers so much in terms of food, activities , nightlife. Such a vibrant city. So I definitely share your enthusiasm. I appreciate you watching and sharing the content. Really helps a growing channel. Hope you enjoy your next visit 🙏🏽
Interesting clip...I live in suburbia, west of Montréal, and some places mentioned in your video were completely unknown to me. I shall be exploring some of these, Merci.
Thanks for watching ! That’s the beautiful thing about the city. So much changes so quickly. I also released a part 2 of this video in case you’re curious. Have a great day 👍🏾

My favorite restaurant is Siam!! I go to the one in the dix30 - always order their vegan dumplings, rainbow salad and their spicey lemongrass cocktail... Occasionally coconut shrimp 😋😋
I want to try all of these places. I love that you avoid every “top 10 list” cliche like smoked meat, poutine, and bagels. One gem you left out is Saint Sushi on Duluth, a truly unique fusion sushi experience.
I’m a fan of sushi, so I’ll also have to try your recommendation as well! Yes, I think there’s a lot of videos that mention bagel and smoked meat restos. There are sooo many other places to explore and give recognition to. I appreciate you watching 🙏🏽
I appreciate all of your dining suggestions. I'm already hungry thinking of which ones I'll choose in April. And I'll make time to stop in at the Orange Julep (Gibeau Julep???).❤
I really appreciate you watching! I am sure you will definitely enjoy your dining experiences! Let me know your personal thoughts when you do visit the suggested food spots!
Haha, thank you. Tried to get a good variety in there. However, there are countless restaurants around Montreal. It’s an amazing city to explore the food Scene!
@travels_wright I agree. I can't wait to get back there so that I can pig out at Maison du Cari ( Caribbean Curry House) in the Snow Coast area. Great portions, good food and reasonable prices!! See youzall in June, and August!!!!
You know what…? you’re absolutely right.. I totally forgot about Chalet BBQ 😅. That spot is a staple in the city for sure! Thanks for pointing that out 😉
That sounds like an amazing road trip ! I actually just released my Ottawa video yesterday. Maybe you can get some ideas from there? I hope you have an amazing trip !
Nice video, interesting choices. I did notice most were in fairly impersonal locations, there are many more excellent places in far more intimate settings.
I love this list. I am from Montreal and there were a few places that I did not know about and you are avoiding general tourist traps lie Banquise and Schwartz's
Thank you ! While those spots are nice, I feel like they often get mentioned while there are so many other places to also consider. Many great restos have surfaced just this year alone :-) !

You know what? This is a very interesting take… I would even go as far to say that I agree with you for the most part. I did stray away from A LOT of the places that are typically associated with “Montreal culture”. However, There are countless videos already made on these establishments that have earned their rank in the city over many years. The list in this video showcases more of the up and coming locations in the city that I feel both locals and visitors will enjoy. I appreciate the insightful comment 👍🏾
Crew Collective Cafe doesn’t accept cash so I don’t recommend it to my fellow British & Irish travellers who likes spending cash on small purchases. & there’s nothing to write home about
Yes nice places but good luck getting there with all the detours and road closures along with fucking bicycle paths there is no fucking parking anywhere
I feel your frustration 😅. But it’s like that in a lot of major cities especially during peak hours. Always best to plan ahead or be willing to take a spot a block or two away. For me, personally, I’ve never had an issue with parking unless I’m at the old port. That’s one area you should never drive to. Best of luck👍🏾
Bruh! been living here 20+ years.... no offense to the restaurant, but I have to say, the video lost credibility at Boom J's. SO many better Jamaican / caribbean restaurants, with better quality and service....
No offense taken ! Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I respect that. Maybe the person who served you had an off day or something … who knows…, could be many factors.
