Born and raised Montrealer here, your video was very thorough and well made! Plus you have a very soothing voice :)
Thank you! I appreciate you watching 🙏🏽. From your point of view, What would you consider to be a hidden gem in the city ??
Well, it's not hidden, but the bike paths along both rivers are really beautiful and pleasant to bike on, and they're quite extensive. If you want to rent a BIXI, might as well pay the monthly subscription of $20. It gives you unlimited and free access to bikes for as long as you want. You just have to dock it every 45 minutes to start a new free ride. It's great! Just remember to cancel the subsequent month. You can also take an electric bike if you want to take it easy, but there are no free rides on those.
I feel that’s a great recommendation as well! I’m sure there’s a lot to see along these paths 👍🏾. I was aware of the bixi system but I actually didn’t know there was a monthly subscription. That is a very useful tip
Totally agree!
Thank you🙏🏽
I am home sick. You’ve shown Montreal as such a memorable happening city. Thank you. The voice over is comforting. Merci !!!
Montréal is like one of the hidden North American Gems. Kinda Have to see it to believe it, but the city has so much to offer from food to festivals to its scenery. Thank you for watching and leaving the comment. Much appreciated 🙏🏽
This is one of the best intro guides to Montréal I've come across! And I've watched a lot. I'm looking forward to taking my 5th trip this fall to check out the autumn colours and a slightly quieter city. Thanks for investing the time in making quality content I can use and share 😊
I really appreciate your comment! So many hours goes into prepping this style of content so it truly makes me happy that there are others finding good use out of it.
Going to Montreal during the autumn season is a solid plan too. The weather stays nice till even early October in some cases and the scenery is just impressive to see with the changing foliage. Autumn is perhaps one of my most favored seasons. I hope you have a great trip 🙌🏾
❤ Thank you!

Absolutely fabulous video on Montreal! Definitely the best and most comprehensive that I have seen.
I genuinely appreciate the comment. You wouldn’t believe how much work goes into putting it together so it makes me happy to know that viewers can take benefit from it . If you’re planning a trip to Montreal, I hope you have an amazing experience 👌🏾
@@travels_wright I live here so I appreciate how much effort and detail went into this. I even learned a few new things about my city. Thank you!
@@cheryllynch4436 🙏🏽
You missed the Vans Skatepark and the iconic BIG O while you were at the stadium , BTW Good video
Thank you !
I had wanted to go to the look out just above the Big O. Sadly it was closed. They were supposed to reopen this year, however the govt announced they will be replacing the roof. So not sure if it will be open to the public this year in the end..
The Vans skate park seems like it’s top notch. There was also outdoor rock climbing activites there as well..😅. So much to do in the city !
Oh i didn't think that i could been closed for some reason , and now the Roof not sure it will be open until renovation is done , i hope it will , cross my fingers @@travels_wright
Same here!
Great video once again! So much detail, looks like I have to pay a visit
Thank you for watching! Montreal is definitely an underrated city. So many things to do and see!
Used to live in Montreal. Was born there . I am homesick watching this video. Wish I could go back in time. Thanks for the nice tour.
Montréal is definitely a unique city ! As they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder. So I am sure you appreciate the city even more. Thank you for watching 🙏🏽
So happy that TH-cam recommended your GR8 channel!👍🏼 New subbie here😀 YT suggested you while I was researching certain aspects of Montréal, where I haven't traveled since 2019. I used to visit there 2x a year, but I need a refresh because I'm headed back to that beautiful city really soon.
Thanks for recommending Old Montréal, when some travel hosts poo-poo the area as being touristy. Well, I don't mind the touristy elements because I focus on the history and architecture. And I loooove the restos, bakeries and historic houses that are museums much worth visiting. The Old Port is wonderful, including the lookout and la Grande Roue. That Ferris wheel was constructed for Montréal's 175th birthday in 2017 -- and I missed several chances to ride it before the pandemic, so I'll remedy that this spring.❤🎡❤
Other neigborhoods that I must visit again are le Plateau, la Petite Italie? la Petite Patrie, NDG, Hochelaga et Griffintown. I hope I have time to revisit Atwater market and to see the beautiful animals and marine life i side of the Biodôme.
Merci!✌🏼
I can definitely feel your passion for the city. You’re definitely right about Old Montreal. It’s such a vibrant sector that has so much character and a large selection of restaurants and activities. I bid you a fantastic visit to Montreal. Thank you for subscribing as well as it really helps the channel 👍🏾
The most helpful video I've watched for Montreal so far! Thank you!!!
Thank you , that means a lot! Really happy that the video was beneficial.👍🏾
This is one of the best videos I have encountered about Montreal’s best activities.
I’m about to finish my trip and I am gonna try to visit all the places you recommended.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
Really appreciate the comment! Hope you have a great remainder to your trip 🙌🏾
As a hispanic, THANK you for pronouncing "croqueta" correctly.
Haha, thank you for noticing 👍🏾.
Le Village au Pied-du-Courant is a great place to chill, have drink, listen to some music and much more... i highly recommand that place... best spot to watch the fireworks
Hey! Thanks for pointing this one out 👍🏾. Sounds like a place with some good ambiance !
Hi. Do we need a car to reach Le Village au Pied-du-Courant? My Québec friend has a car and wants to take me to somewhere I haven't yet been. Other than that, I'll be visiting and revisiting places in Montrèal by métro on my own. I'll be traveling to Montréal in April. Merci!😀
Terima kasih sudah menyuguhkan vlog yang sangat detail sekali ini, saya suka sekali dengan cara membawakan alur cerita vlognya sangat jelas dan mudah di mengerti
Hello !
Happy you found it useful ! Will you be travelling to Montreal in the near feature?
Thank God you pronounce Montreal correctly in English. I grew up in English Montreal, The Town of Mount Royal.
Haha! Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
This is great video! Thank u so much I got a very important tips and guides. I will visit this coming week on my own.
Thanks for watching ! Happy you found it useful ! I’m sure you will have an amazing time in the city 🙌🏾
Well done video hitting the highlights of the city. Very nice integration of Google Earth.
Hey! Thanks for checking out the video and for leaving your feedback. Not sure if you’re a local or planning on visiting the city , but I hope it comes in handy 👍🏾
I’ve long had a fascination for Montreal. Some years ago I had a stopover in Toronto and stayed there for 4 days but I would have preferred if it had been in Montreal. Btw. The clock tower is nothing like the “Big Ben” (which is actually a bell) Tower😁
Definitely make the visit! You won't ne disappointed. I agree that Big ben tower is a little more impressive to see :p
This was awesome! Thank you.
🙏🏾🙏🏾☺️
I really appreciate you watching 🙏🏽! Hope you have an amazing trip in the case you will be visiting Montreal
I am an every summer visitor. I love Montreal. I drive from Detroit in my convertible so that I can cruise around on those sultry nights while listening to smooth jazz. By the way, by my second visit, i had been to most sites featured in this vid. Thank you for your channel!!
I can’t say that I blame you! Montréal is known for its amazing ambiance, especially during the warmer months. Must be an interesting way to see the city from a convertible (what kind ?). Thank you for watching the video. Hopefully it was useful for some new ideas too. 👍🏾
@travels_wright your vid is great for new ideas, such as the late night dinner cruise. I have a well preserved black on black 2010 Sebring Convertible. Generally, I only cruise around in it during the wee hours because the Montreal metro is wonderfully efficient. I can't wait to ride the R.E.M.!!!
TREMENDOUS VIDEO. So many great suggestions and tips. Thanks!!!
Not a problem! Hope you enjoy the city !
I loved this video! Thanks for sharing all of these great recomendaciones 😊 I'm going to Montreal in about 2 weeks so I needed a guide like this! Thanks once again 🙌💫
Amazing ! Glad you found some things of interest in the video . I also appreciate you watching as well 👍🏾. Hope you enjoy your trip
Thanks!
What a great travel video! Thanks for all your work putting it together it will certainly make my trip planning much faster and easier than plowing through a book. Hoping to get there in September!
Early September is the perfect time time to come. Lines are reduced because of school and the weather is still nice! Be sure to subscribe in case I post new content 👍🏾
This was extremely helpful…thank you! And I agree that you should be doing voice work for audio books as a side hustle lol. Keep up the great work!
Really happy the video was of some value. I also appreciate you watching and leaving the kind compliment 🙏🏽. Be sure to subscribe for more content, helps out the channel in many ways . Hope you have an amazing visit 🙌🏾

Montreal has a unique architecture ( 400 years )at Square St -Louis and the plateau .... Mount Royal avenue is pedestrian only .... Montreal has 10 major streets pedestrian only
Thanks for the added info 👍🏾
Very helpful, very detailed 😊, I will probably do this 😊
Awesome ! Hope you have a fantastic trip 👍🏾

Can see the oratory from my bedroom window 😁
Such creative videos you’ve on this channel. I just subscribed!
Appreciate it ! Thank you for watching and for supporting the channel 👍🏾
Have you ever considered doing a vid on the fantastic foods of Montreal's various Black communities? I heard that the Haitian food scene is amazing!
I like the idea! Especially with black history month just around the corner. You may have seen It already, but I included Boom J’s Cuisine (Jamaican Cuisine) in my top 10 food places in Montreal video. Doing a whole set of good black owned restaurants would be a great idea too. 👌🏾
@@travels_wrightI second that idea.👍🏼
I highly recommend staying at l'Auberge du Vieux-Port... it's my favourite hotel in the world :)
Nice ! When did you stay and what impressed you the most about the hotel ?
@@travels_wright I went with my boyfriend in the winter of 2014 I believe and I loved the atmosphere and how secluded it was (walking to our room felt like a spa). It also had the biggest bed I've ever seen that was extremely comfortable, old brick walls, a fireplace, jet tub and was situated downtown by the St. Lawrence River. I paid extra to have breakfast and mimosas in bed and I'm planning for us to go back this year in the fall :)
Wow, sounds like they had great amenities when you stayed at the hotel. The location is super ideal as well. Very central to the touristic area. Autumn is an Amazing time to visit because of the changing foliage. No doubt you’ll have another great time. Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to check it out 👍🏾
@@travels_wright Yes, that's when I'm planning to book us! They also have a rooftop terrace where you can watch the fireworks although we didn't do that last time but we'll probably have dinner there this time. It's quite expensive but I recommend the King rooms for a special occasion.
Very well-put and highly detailed! Especially appreciate as I’m planning my trip to Montreal this year Christmas. Any must-visit places not to miss during that time? Thanks there 😊
Thank you! Very much appreciated . For the Christmas season, I believe (La Grande Roue) is still open so this could be a nice activity to take part in. I would also visit the Biodôme as it’s indoor. Place ville Marie is normally nicely decorated with lights during this time of year and also has a connection to the underground mall in case you want to do some shopping. I also uploaded a video on my channel on some interesting restaurants to visit as well. See the link here : th-cam.com/video/gskYBO0V3Uo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RcVlOnugg8EU3z4r
Hope you have a fantastic visit to Montreal 🙌🏾

You’re most welcome 👍🏾
Also, thank you for supporting the channel. It’s also appreciated 🙏🏽
Oh gosh... it is Monday today in Montreal and quite all great attractions from your video are closed...
Hello!
Thanks for watching the video ! Can I ask which outings you were looking to visit? We are now in March so the city is coming out of the colder months. A lot of the indoor attractions should still be accessible however. Believe it or not, even the Ferris Wheel should also be open. Let me know 👍🏾
Can we still visit these places in fall or winter?
Yes! A lot of the indoor activities are still open. Even the Ferris wheel for example is still open. Before picking a location, just do a quick google search before going just to confirm the opening the respective locations. I also just did a video on places to eat in Montreal. Feel free to also check it out: th-cam.com/video/gskYBO0V3Uo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IseO09IYSVknHpek
Nice video well done, however you forgot to point out the traffic congestion nightmare. Also did you edit out the Orange Cones ?. Montreal is famous for its orange cones and pot holes.😢
😂😂😂 thank you
Montreal does have A LOT of construction cones😅
Negative Nancy!😂
Montréal is much more than about orange cones and trafic.
😂😂
Yah, I call it the orange circus as I struggle to get away from rue Ste-Catherine as I walk from west to east. Single-file walking makes me fume, BUT I respect the city's need to fix its streets and do renovations. And I do love rue Ste-Catherine still.💕
