To fight stigma against addiction, the community at large must grow in levels of compassion, and understanding life circumstances that lead to people abusing drugs. Some clients in the show talk about sexual abuse as a lead cause to working in the streets through prostitution. Some talk about the trauma, such as witnessing loved ones being sexually abused or other forms of physical abuse. Stories also lead to recovery from substance addiction.
The show focuses on discussions with individuals who were once addicted to substances, and/ or have gone through homelessness. The individuals talk about the time they first used substances, family and social circumstances that led to addiction, as well the impact that addiction had on their lives. We also get to hear about recovery and treatment, plus stories on relapses. Some clients recovered through recovery houses, and others went through treatment centres.
The interviews vary from dealing and selling drugs, going into prostitution, working women and men, dropping out of school, mental health problems and how it leads to substance abuse. Psychiatry and psychology information.

So blessed to hear your story! To see how you overcame many instances of being violated has much impact on my heart of hearts. Your Strength shines thru as a Champion Warrior! Hope for Complete Healing into Authenticity. A beautiful sight! Sexual Abuse is the one abuse that goes to the Souls Core where for some brings a life of dark sorrow and self blame. Gratitude of your vulnerable bravery to share the dark despair and how your mindset keeps clarity of your true authentity. So grateful to hear this so I can share with those I know feel hopeless as trama of this magnitude seems to never fade from emotions. Like its seared thru the nervous system. I love how you say the more you process thru the more you physically heal. An intense struggle of Power and Control antics especially for one before the 'Age of Accountability'. Then some get self protective where "The hunter becomes the hunted." A realm of Power and Control showing "Im getting you before you get me" So many depths of the Predators damage on the innocent. Thank you Kuda for having such an amazing guest. I hope this gets to those who are so desperate to heal and keep hope and hold their rightful honor. Gratitude. So much helpful insight. God bless and keep your for your kindness of sharing in such strength of your Truth. AMAZING GRACE.

Kristi, When I began working @ SSUS you were one of the first clients that came to a group that was being put on about Opiate Substitution Therapy, you were already very knowledgeable about the subject and pretty much ran the group yourself. You were mesmerizing back then in your addiction, and to this day you are still mesmerizing in your recovery! You make me smile, sending you nothing but strength to continue on this amazing journey of life.
