I've been fleet mining solo for years now. Was in sov space for a decade. Had a rorq with 7 hulk and a freighter. Now that orca can compress, moved to HS full flotilla in toe. It's been a blast. It's fairly easy. The biggest tip I have is turn your entire sound off of your alts and keep the sound on for your orca. The sound is what's eating your performance, not the graphics.

Strap a 500mn MWD to your orca, or any cap ship. Hit warp, click your MWD, click it off before it finishes its cycle, you just warped any cap size ship and orca in 10 seconds. You're welcome.

Like 6 years ago I mined with 23 accounts. All the miners I had set to lowest quality graphics, every effect off. The main few like the rorqual and the rattlesnake would have max graphics. All ran off 1 computer fine that was a few years old at that point.

It's not the graphics, it's the sound. Turn sound off of your alt accounts. You're welcome.
I came back with the free days offer, the game is stalling at any and everything, middle of no where and a good 60 fps, I could run 4 accounts easy last time I played, can barely run one now, with the shitty graphics I would dare run a mission, got as low as 1 fps trying to use a gate.
Cool to see there is a tool to change clients. I go with the new profile system and 3 accounts set to min graphics and smaller windows to see what going on on my 2nd screen.
When running alts, does the alt have to be a complelty seperate account? Or can you somehow run 2 clients on 1 main account? Getting back into eve and this is the first time ive ever tried this as i want to mine using multiple acc as well

How many alts do you need to actually make money at this? I only got two accounts, doesnt seem worth it or is it? Havent gotten that orca ganked?
How do you manage the risk of getting ganked in high sec ? What would you do while solo mining with orca + 1 or multiple hulks in a fleet.
I like to leave my ore in each ship and do compression cycles I don't like fooling with dragging ore around or staying so close to my Porpoise. Also I figured it would make it harder to get all the ships if they are spread out.

I havent played Eve in like a decade, but the way it takes 500 plex to omega an account, has me hesitant. I still have 8 accounts, 6 hulks, 1 orca, and 1 charon. If mining aint like it used to be, I can't see paying a 160$ a month to plex my accounts.
I hear that you can make serious bread mining gneiss in W-hole space. I dont know if i would want to bring a massive fleet like this though.
you can turn 7 of your alts into SP farm when they reach the point where it can do things you want. with SP farm it is enough to pay for its own omega . im currently have 20 alts and i dont need to farm , grind or even care about 18 alts , the SP farmed is enough to pay for the omega
I suggest you move your ships away from warp in point. That will at least ensure the safety of the exhumers.
Yo, im a wormholer and ive had an orca lying around for ages. i usually have 1 alt sometimes two. Ice mining in highsec is dead nowadays and i was thinking would it be viable to mine the ore of a trig wormhole ( on the highsec side)? don't know if its even a thing . Just something that generates at least enough isk to plex one acc as i allready plex 1-2 with $

if you are a WHler then try Ratting , it bring better money than mining if you use only 1-2 acc, for mining you need at least 6 acc to make it possible for plex all the accounts since you will need a booster and miners ,the omega for booster must be shared to other miners so the more miners you have the easier it is to plex the accounts
As someone that is looking at getting into mining: How do you avoid getting ganked? From hearsay I would gather that you get blown up left and right when taking hulks and an orca into highsec mining
I’ve never lost a mining ship in hi sec, just keep an eye on local & d-scan. If a non mining ship warps to a belt warp the hulk off or store it in the orca. Also the closer to jita you mine the worse it can be. Find a good system off the common routes to jita. after a while you will know who the system regulars are and noticing trouble will become easier.
Ganking rarely happens. A corporation has to basically 1 shot you in 10 seconds. It takes serious planning and it isn't worth it. Lowsec/null, yes, chances of being killed mining is very likely if you're solo. In HS, of you got an orca, you can afk through 20 years of promotions.
I currently have 22.9s cycle time on my ice drones, but in sov null and in a Rorq, it is a beast.
i cant understand the cheers about the video, the harvest set with range is useless in HS mining, laser range? LoL why you need implants for targeting range?
So you can launch 30 attack drones if attacked from all the ships and target whoever with all of them?

There will always be a weakest ship NPC rats will target first.
Launch all attack drones and right click the drop down button for drones in space, click guard, click the weakest fleetmate and anything that attacks it will be attacked by your drones. Works reverse with assist target fleetmate as well.
When I do level 4s, I have a logistics ship as my main, have my 5 NIV on follow, launch their heavy drones, put all the drones on assist the logistics ship, everytime I fire on an npc, 25 drones attack it as well.
you can try target painter on one ship, put all drone to assist that ship, anything land in the range will be pulverize immediately
I have been a while off the game but wanting to come back to mine with my old Orca. So in this example lets say if you want to control the full operation do you need another 5 accounts with hulks to have a mining operation yourself, right?
I stopped playing sometime back, all characters could mine, ore and ice, took up the free days they offered, unlike before CCP always said if you could do something before a patch, you could still do it after the patch, none of them can mine any more, all mining ships have been nerf'd and have lost HP and tanking, some have slots gone, I tried and lost 10k hp, had to drop 1 mid slot no cpu to fit anything, worse still, crystals and skills have changed, I can no longer mine without 26 - 29 days training, looks like some skills were removed, but then almost the same re-added with slightly different names, cannot do anything in the free time allotted, so waste of time for me, shame as there was an ice field up but I could not re-fit and skill up in time.
the idea of all mine the same rock is not great, you can try spread out the miner, one miner per rock, this will eliminate the time you need to change rock for every miner everytime the rock disappears. my strategy is i find a big rock in middle of the site, warp my booster and miner to the middle rock, drop drone, and put all drone on the middle rock then locking the futher surrounding rock for the lazer. this will limit the range for you drone, increase yeild since you use drone now, and you only need to change target for the lazer only on the alts that finished its target.

Not if you're industry in eve. If anything you need alts for industry slots alone lol. Eve isn't a game, it's a lifestyle.
Eve is called n+1 type of game, meaning the more alts you have the better you are at everything in the game. 2 alts is considered enough for most thing in the game, but in mining you need at least 6 alts (not counting your main)

at the rate(s) of ice currently he was doing about 210 million an hour plex for a month is currently around 2.5 billion so 12 hours an account times 7 is 84 hours a month. or approximately 21 hours a week.

Keep in mind, this is high-sec. If you go to null and join an alliance or strong corp, you can go ahead and increase your ISK by at least 5x. You start mining Dark Glitter or Crust and BAM, you'll be earning close to a bil an hour.

@@alanwatts8239 you can run as many accounts as you want as long as they are all omega, if you run 1 account thats omega, you can run any other accounts at the same time as long as they too are omega. alphas are the only account that cant launch at the same time

No, not at all, I did 76mil in 25 mins you would need to do 350mil a day to cover it. Mine for an hour or two here and there and your money. But also you don’t need 7 accounts. I like 3 miners and a command, 4 is a nice number.
If you did this specific scenario 25 times you could plex 1 account for a month. Multiply that by 6 and you would need to do this 150 times. Thats about 75 hours of mining for a month of omega on 6 accounts. Thats almost 19 hours a week. Or 2.7 hours a day if you play every single day. I get to play the game maybe 2.7 hrs a week and i dont want to spend the whole time working to keep playing the game. Lol

Well if you have the choice between orca and porpoise, you’re going to always go orca. When it comes to hulks or mackinaws you just need to ask yourself what YOU want. More defense, or more mining yield.
If you’re okay with getting into a fight, then go hulks, if you’re looking for max yield, go mackinaws.
Orca or Propoise? always Orca, better boost, a little better tank, if a fleet drop on you, you dead anyway.
Mackinaw -> if you have 20 alts and you cant cycle through them fast enough to compress or tranfer ore to some place else when in a Hulk , then Mackinaw is for you
Hulks -> If you are the fastest man alive and you can make sure to cycle through all the alts before your hold is full then Hulks is the way for max speed max yield.
Skiffs -> if you need dps due to gankers of something then Skiff is the way to go

One thing to do if you aren't close is having an mtu and have your corp jettison the ore and picking it up from the mtu
If your orca has command bursts and industrial core your strip miners should be 35+kms so the miners should be keeping at range on orca at 1kKM. Distance should never be a problem if command ship has skills correctly.

Yes, and you add the account to your launcher and just start them all up
EVE is very friendly for playing with multiple accounts.
they all have to be omega, you can get in trouble is you do it with alpha's
@@chrisheick7486 EVE will straight up prevent you from login in an Alpha account as the same time as an Omega account on the same computer, or the reverse. Trying to get around that restriction is what may get you in trouble.

Eve is not a GPU intensive game most of the strain will be on your CPU. So of your trying to figure out why your laging running 7 accounts on eve the bottle neck will not be your GPU. 😂

I probably need like 5 monitors, 1 for the industrial ship, 4 for my mining alts, and a laptop on the side with a cruiser parked there in case some rats get in the way.
Combat drones should be more than sufficient for high sec rats

the barge price is miniscule.once you reach the level where you can solo mining like this, 200mil Isk is like pocket money for you . the omega price is the thing you need to worry about here
