Made this for someone and prepared it exactly the way you instructed.. They said it was the best chicken they have ever had. I felt like a boss. Thank you.
U seem to be a wonderful human being too. I have prepared most of ur recipes and have become a good cook myself just b'coz of u. Thanks a million from my hubby, two daughters, in-laws and myself from the bottom of my heart.
I am so grateful that you take the time to bring love to this world. You bring it by your passion to share your love of cooking. I am always so honored to watch you.
I'm 16 , and always hated cooking ...and as usual my family thought I should learn...However I was adamant not to. One day , a relative showed me your simple mango milkshake which was something I loved...I was curious to see more ...soon I spent most of my free time on your channel.... It was not just your recipes but also the way you communicate to your audience...I finally ended up telling mum. ..not to do the cooking this Sunday...I'm going to make one off chef sanjay s dishes....Thank you vah chef...you guys have inspired to do some thing I thought I never would:)
I love your accent when you speak! Thanks. Really did want to know how to make tandoori without a tandoor....so this is a wonderful gift.....I'll post a recipe to you on how to make coffee chocolate!
Sir, I tried it. But I did 1 thing extra. I left the chicken with 2nd marination overnight in the fridge and then put it in oven next day.... believe me it came out awesome... 😊 thank you for this wonderful receipe.
I made this ages ago and came back looking for this recipe again.. am a huge tandoori chicken fan and this is the closest I could find to restaurant style at home. Well done Vahchef!
I tried this excellent recipe when the video was brand new & have made this many, many times over the years. I adore you Sanjay, you are a born teacher!!! Thank you for sharing your gifts! ❤
my mom is always complaining that when she was 17 she knew how to cook everything and i dont know how to make tea..lol so i impressed her today by cooking tandoori chicken with ur recipe :)
I tried this last night and took to my friends at work. I fall in love with every tasty dish I make so many my favorites so I know how you feel. Love your cooking so thank you
Inspired after having eaten Tandori chicken at a local restaurant in New Zealand, I went to the internet looking for a recipe. But not just 'any' recipe... I wanted one from a genuine Indian. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this recipe up. I've yet to try it... there are so many variations when I look on line, it's hard to know where to start. But I think ... I'll start here. Watching you eat it at the end is just the killer!
Thank You VahChef for teaching this recipe and helping my expose my family to Indian food (which I love). I have used this recipe many many times in my own home and my kids absolutely love it. I change it up by smoking the chicken over wood at 275* instead of baking or grilling, I also add a small amount of paprika, but essentially this is the recipe I use. Thanks again !
17 years and your recipes are still popular. When I came married and started cooking, I started from your recipes and my cooking has always been a hit!! Thank you Sir
Sanjay, I made several of your recipes and am lucky to have my own Tandoor oven...even in Holland we are crazy about Indian food and your recipes make it often even better than the restaurants, excellent!!!
Hi Chef Sanjev, as I watch your videos, I am just watching and educating myself of the recipes that you make, and as I purchase the engredients, I also like it that I contribute to the economy of India ... and, as I notice, my life has become more "blooming" and "lively" , having to receive a lot of blessings from your gods and goddesses, and especially Bhudda ... and lot of knowledge, not only on Indian Spiritualism, but also with the "delicious" Indian food! I love India and the Indian People!
You have definitely inspired me to cook :) Ive come a long way from googling how to make rice to making tandoori chicken in less than 6 months. Great job !
my sister made it and truely it was the best i ever eat of all the chicken tandoori in this 18 years trust me i have a lot of experience in eating chicken but this reciepe was the best keep it up got a lot of expectations from you
White meat and dark meat have to do with the muscle movement.. White meat is from "fast twitch" muscles which means the muscles get used very little and is only when the flap their wings.. Dark meat is "slow twitch" which means the muscles do more work like walking around so there is more blood running through those muscles which is why the color is different. Dark meat with slow twitch always has more flavor and the rarely used fast twitch doesn't receive as much oxygen which is they the meat is a lighter color. Same with beef.. Tenderloin doesn't have as much flavor as other working muscles like flank steak (the diaphram) or sirloin. It is more tender because the muscles do less work but it doesn't have the beefiness taste as much as other working muscles. Thank you for the video chef !!
I love watching his cooking ! He is the best chef! So simple way of presentation . ,I admire his enthusiasm, wittiness and simplicity throughout the cooking🌹😃
My husband is Indian, He likes Tandoori Chicken so much, After watched your video, Im really happy that I can find the way to make it easily. Thank you so much!
Great recipe I made this today and my family loved it! I tweaked it a little bit since I don't have all the spices on hand I used salt, coriander, black pepper but no chillies since my little one can't eat that and I added one tea spoon of curry and it turned out amazing! Thank you for the recipe!
Agreed, he's a great character. I've met a lot of Indians and Pakistanis and they have all been some of the friendliest, most honest people I've met. I really liked his story at the beginning. If I had to eat only one country's food for the rest of my life it would be either Indian/Pakistani or Mexican food.
You make cooking even tough dishes seem so simple, will try this one for sure. Thank you for the recipe. Are we not supposed to let it marinate for some time?
sanjay there r very less people who share the secrets of their profession you are one of them you made this chicken so simple even a 5 year old can make it hats off to you
Great Recipe Vah Chef!!! I made this for a Nepali friend. He said it was the best tandoori chicken he's ever had. I cooked mine in a gas grill on very high heat. Follow Sanjay's directions and the chicken will be great.
+nikhil dev Lol I am also 12 years old and I like to cook. Cooking with bones is better because the chicken cooks so that its not overcooked. That way, it would still squishy and crispy like it is supposed to be. You can use chicken breasts, but it has a very high chance of becoming dry.
Dear Thumba, Today I am gonna make Tandoori Chicken, You are the best Chef I have seen on internet, your all the recipes are very simple but very rich in taste. And yes it inspire me for the cooking. Thanks a ton !! Shailendra
Thanks Chef! I made this using Greek yogurt, which gave the marinate a sort of clay-like consistency, and I added a Tbsp. or so of Sriracha because I couldn't find Thai chili paste. WOW!!! That's some spicy tandoori chicken! Spicy enough at first bite to let you know it's spicy, and yet in the right proportion to make you want much, much more. If you've got a kamado grill, I recommend using it and its ability to achieve a higher cooking temperature.
sanjay, you are soo genuine, and sincere, its heart warming, i love to watch your videos and then try them. they always come out great ! thankyou for sharing.
top guy. if i have to add one thing.......when cooking halfway through in oven.....apply/brush a bit more of the marinade on to the chicken.....repeat another time after 10 mins ...makes it much more tasty ! Best wishes
this video helped a lot to me.... my husband liked it so much, im a filipina and my husband is indian. first time to make this recipe and he loved it deliciously. keep it up chef!
Thank you! Is the best inspiration to do tandoori! The best possible dishes!I have this in marinated, coming back with a photo of my tandoori legs! Have a nice time!❤
This is the best tandoori chicken recipe ever! Much better than store bought masalas and concentrated pastes. Turns out great in the oven or air fryer. Make sure you use small chicken pieces so that cooking is even; use a 1 kg spring chicken for best results. For added flavor, you can use mustard oil or ghee in the recipe in lieu of a flavourless oil. Make sure your curd is very thick so that the marination sticks to the chicken. If you make this recipe for your family and guests they will think you are a true star chef. Thanks so much Vahchef
after failing a number of times in the past to make The Tandoori chicken, I tried out your recipe. to give it a smoky flavour I smoked it with a piece of charcoal and ghee in a closed kadhai. finally made it. thank you!
Dear Vahchef, I made tandoori chicken and it was awesome, I never thought that I could cook tandoori chicken, but I did just because of you. God bless you Thumba ji,

Cooked this again today for the second time! Never disappointing! Fantastic outcome as my first attempt of tandoori chicken! Thank you!
I love your accent when you speak! Thanks. Really did want to know how to make tandoori without a tandoor....so this is a wonderful gift.....I'll post a recipe to you on how to make coffee chocolate!
Almost 15 years of making us great cooks. Thank you chef!
Sir, I tried it. But I did 1 thing extra. I left the chicken with 2nd marination overnight in the fridge and then put it in oven next day.... believe me it came out awesome... 😊 thank you for this wonderful receipe.
Srujan Sriadibhatla overnight marination is not required as long as you put lemon. With lemon and long marination may turn out to be bitter. Careful.
I made this ages ago and came back looking for this recipe again.. am a huge tandoori chicken fan and this is the closest I could find to restaurant style at home. Well done Vahchef!
I can't believe that this channel is more than 14 years old.
I tried this excellent recipe when the video was brand new & have made this many, many times over the years. I adore you Sanjay, you are a born teacher!!! Thank you for sharing your gifts! ❤
