- TANDOORI CHICKEN
Ingredients:-
Whole Chicken - 1 Full Bird
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Yogurt - 1 Cup
Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Kasoori Methi - 1 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Oil - As Required
Salt - To Taste
Method:-
First cut the chicken as shown in the video. Massage the chicken with chilli powder and salt & lime juice nicely. In a bowl add yogurt,add ginger garlic paste,turmeric,coriander powder,garam masala,cumin powder,kashmiri chilli powder,chat masala and mix it nicely. Then add some lemon juice and oil. Apply this masala to chicken and add little amount of oil. Put the whole chicken in oven at the highest temperature for 45-50 minutes.
Tasty and Juicy Tandoori Chicken is ready to serve.

Tandoori chicken was one of my first culinary expeditions as a teenager, back in the 1980's. No internet at that time so it was Uxbridge Library and books for me. It's still a firm favourite now, never met anyone who doesn't absolutely adore tandoori chicken. I can crank my domestic oven up to nearly 300°C, which does a reasonable impersonation of a tandoor.

Made this today following the receipe....thankyou so much for the main first step tip..brining the chicken...it really made the chicken juicy and tender.
I always stuggled with excellent marination yet a little tough fried chicken. Now i will follow tge brining process everytime i make chicken.

I made it using gas tandoor with smaller pieces but believe me it came out perfect as restaurant style.
