  • Mastering the Clean & Jerk can lead to becoming more explosive in all of your other lifts while also improving conditioning and overall strength endurance. This movement is one of the traditional Olympic Lifts (the other being the Snatch) and has become extremely popular in recent years due to CrossFit.

    You left out hand placement, the untrained eye won’t know that you readjusted your hands after the clean, also elbow placement, a lot of people have their elbows under the bar amounting to a lot of stress on the elbows, you kept it parallel with the floor which would be a good thing to mention.

    Your feet jump forward the smallest bit because you're not keeping the bar close enough by pointing the elbows up from the third pull. Its not that detrimental with lighter weights, but people falling forwards in comp is mainly for that reason. Still amazing video though

      @lochlann fyfe you dont drop the weights... just put them back down like a normal person

    • @ChuffIed
      @ChuffIed 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @lochlann fyfe i can do it, plenty of other people can lower the weights safely without dropping or slamming them down on the ground, why cant you do that? i dont go to a commercial one but i still have the sense to lower the bar to the ground properly. after a power clean and clean and jerk unless you are lifting really heavy stuff then i see no reason why you sohuldnt be able to do it. show the gym owner some respect and dont break his floor and plates just because you are lazy.

    • @ChuffIed
      @ChuffIed 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @lochlann fyfe why would i get annoyed at others for deadlifting? i do it too, i started out with powerlifting and have since expanded into weightlifting. i always lower my barbells to the grund in a controlled manner, never been a single bounce or even close to having my barbell boucne in the slightest because i put them down properly. and since you apparantly was too busy finding a reason to be angry you apparantly missed this part of what i said "unless you are lifting really heavy stuff then i see no reason why you sohuldnt be able to do it." 80% is not a number, its a percentage. as an example, 80% of 100kg is nothing its just 80kg, you can catch it without just dunping it on the floor.

    • @ChuffIed
      @ChuffIed 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @lochlann fyfe once again you ignore that i agree with you on the really heavy lifts its probably a good thing to drop it instead of catching it, now you are just throwing around slurs like keyboard warrior and the bruh spamming... you arent even trying to talk about it, you are just in the "nope im right you are wrong" mode and completely focusing on the part where i agree with you instead of talking about the part where i disagree with you. sure, run from your problems i guess. bye.
