  • Quickie on how to correct your course to stop the wind from pushing you off track. Also we will get some practice with the old E6B flight computer. No GPS or G1000 necessary!
    This is based on an FAA written test question also it may not be current, it's still good practice!

    You should take ground speed from GPS not speed indicator! It's show IAS not GS! In that case you should take 125 kts

    Hey, love your content. I have one aditional question. Besides the 1 in 60 rule how could one know the wind in-flight?

      You can use basic trigonometry sin/cos/tan ratios too, really in flight, you would make a correction based on what you see rather than calculating the wind manually
