@baileya6585, many landlords will deep clean just prior to the tenant moving in. No sense in deep cleaning while there will be multiple people constantly traipsing in and out.
@@jsmith5509 I don't get that practice. If the apartment is empty why not clean it before showing it to potential renters? While people will be going in and out they aren't likely to take a bath, cook etc .

Are you going to add Jersey City to your search. I know it’s tough to consider that but your timeline and the endless apts - you might want to consider. Especially since you work there
Apartment hunting is such a tiring experience. Granted I live in Berlin not NYC, but it was still so exhausting trying to find a good place for a decent price. Rents are lower over here, but so are salaries. I will be moving into a 5th floor walkup, but it isn’t too bad all things considered. Fingers crossed you will soon find your right place! ❤
Hi Tisha, maybe you can take a moment to go back over with us what is it you want from an apartment. I 've seen quite a few so far that I thought were great.(well other than price). Maybe that would help some of us get back engaged, cause right now we are shaking heads.
There are some nice apartments in this video. Is there anyway you can save your time and energy by asking if it's a walk up and in which direction the windows are facing, before you book a viewing?
I'm originally from NYC (Manhattan). I also lived in The Bronx, where I was born. At any rate, I moved to The South in August of 1995. I think you're crazy moving to NYC and paying over $2K a month for a dinky apartment. I wouldn't do it, but to each their own. BTW ... I lived in a railroad flat apartment back in the 1980's. The kitchen floor was slanted, but it was fixed before we moved in, at no additional cost. Back when the buldings were built, immigrants from Italy, Ireland, etc, would drink beer while installing the floors. So they were blitzed while they were working, lol. Anyway ... I hope you get the apt that you REALLY want. Just be careful in NYC and ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. Be safe!
I've watched a lot of videos like this and I've never seen someone take so long to get an apartment. Must be crazy out there right now to find exactly what you want
Although I live in Germany, I really enjoy watching these videos. I also follow Chelsea and she had given tips. You should have a USB stick with you with all the important forms on it and also a draft with other important things in the emails. :) I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
I am most definitely rooting for you and your apartment search. With your list of pro's and con's, no walk ups etc. I just don't think what you need matches what New York can offer. After 40 searches, you don't think that is a red flag. I know how it feels to want to live exactly where you want to live but at what cost! You just might have to make a difficult decision to let New York go, at least unless or until you can get your needs met and not have to settle for some overpriced trash.
I don't understand a landlord keeping a unit off the market until peak times. At $2500 rent, you lose $5k in 2 months. Even if you can charge $300/month more, you still lose money. I would be so curious to see what you can get in Jersey for $2500.
Were you able to find an apartment to move into? Haven’t heard from you since last week, so I hope you’re busy moving. I can’t wait to see what your new apartment looks like.
Girllll these nyc apts so much $$$ and it’s like you’ve to fix up the place yourself good luck on your journey I’m looking for apt but I’m thinking going to Connecticut even though I live & work in the Bx ughhh adulting is trash

Are you going to add Jersey City to your search. I know it’s tough to consider that but your timeline and the endless apts - you might want to consider. Especially since you work there
I'm surprised of the tenants not tidying there space before a viewing....so strange to me!
Have been so looking forward to this!! Loving your apartment hunting vlogs! I had a feeling you were going to get the chandalier apartment.
Agreed!!
Today is a good monday❤🎉
Aweeeee ❤
Be safe!
Your friends got theirs opinions, but you have to move and live in the apartment, not them.
Looks like she's doing this for TH-cam purposes!!. Not like she is in a hurry.. just saying!🤷♀️
@@MrsGigiMoorethat is such a gross assumption!
both of them mean well & were giving their honest feedback ❤
Not being ugly at all. At the end of the day you will make the final decision. Wishing you good luck.
@@audreygatson932 no worries...Thank you for the well wishes 🙏
I keep thinking about that studio with the French doors, I’m sure it’s long gone
My application was approved but someone else got it as they ended up paying a higher broker fee
@@TishaShrestha I hope you find an amazing apartment. Happy to join in the journey virtually until you do!
Well you could definitely tell that your friend was approaching the hunt with fresh eyeballs and not after viewing 5936381 appts like you!😅
so true 🫠
jeezzz girl, I’m really sorry that it takes so long to find an apt in nyc. I bet it’s exhausting:(
Tisha Love your recent vlogs so so so much and I really really missed your vlogs a lot you are my truly truly inspiration🥺♥️🥺♥️✨
Excited for your new apartment!!
I've watched a lot of videos like this and I've never seen someone take so long to get an apartment. Must be crazy out there right now to find exactly what you want
I was thinking about you finding the best fit apartment for you Tisha I hope the searching goes well girlie ❤
Thank you ❤
Good luck finding something SOON ❤
❤❤❤❤
It’s a tough journey which you are showing so well, even the darker side of New York. You’ll get where you need to be so keep vlogging 😊. 💜🍎💜
Although I live in Germany, I really enjoy watching these videos. I also follow Chelsea and she had given tips. You should have a USB stick with you with all the important forms on it and also a draft with other important things in the emails. :)
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
I am most definitely rooting for you and your apartment search. With your list of pro's and con's, no walk ups etc. I just don't think what you need matches what New York can offer. After 40 searches, you don't think that is a red flag. I know how it feels to want to live exactly where you want to live but at what cost! You just might have to make a difficult decision to let New York go, at least unless or until you can get your needs met and not have to settle for some overpriced trash.
you got us good at 7:42, I was grabbing my wine to reminisce about your college years with you 😂😂
😬😬😬
ill be looking i may or june its going to be so expensive but hopefully i i find one thats not on the first floor
Was waiting for your youtube video..
thank you so much for the patience ❤
Keep your head up, your apartment is coming 😊
I hope you find your dream apartment sending lots of❤ love
I don't understand a landlord keeping a unit off the market until peak times. At $2500 rent, you lose $5k in 2 months. Even if you can charge $300/month more, you still lose money. I would be so curious to see what you can get in Jersey for $2500.
Good luck 🍀 😊
Tisha, I'm so sorry you haven't found anything yet but I know you will. Fingers crossed for you.
woahhh im so happy for you Tishhhh❤❤❤❤❤
Were you able to find an apartment to move into? Haven’t heard from you since last week, so I hope you’re busy moving. I can’t wait to see what your new apartment looks like.
Girllll these nyc apts so much $$$ and it’s like you’ve to fix up the place yourself good luck on your journey I’m looking for apt but I’m thinking going to Connecticut even though I live & work in the Bx ughhh adulting is trash
I sure hope you find something soon!!
Girl you are cutting it close to move, keep going.
I think Apartment #39 was a good one! Just too bad it was such a walk-up! Clearly you can't have anything with NYC apartments 🥲
