- let's continue unpacking and setting into my 1 bedroom new york city apartment :) it has been hard trying to keep up with everything ~~~ full time corporate job, youtube, unpacking and settling in my new york city apartment, errands and social life (tbh i dont really have that much of a social life). I have been trying to remind myself that I am doing my best and slow progress is progress at the end.

Yes, the chaos IS temporary. It reall doesn't matter how long it takes you to unpack/organise other than you may struggle finding stuff you actually need!!

Tisha, I want to encourage you to kindly stop saying and declaring "I have always had anxiety" and "I'm just an anxious person, its always been who I am". This is just a friendly observation, but I noticed that you do it in a lot of videos. You have resigned yourself to anxiety, maybe as a coping mechanism or because you are not able to see a life of peace. But you were not created to have fear, anxiety and constant worry. Do not declare it and claim it as part of your identity. Do not say it out loud and agree with it, even if it is one of your struggles. Because this further binds you to it, as you keep verbally and mentally aligning with the spirit of anxiety, which is not how you were created. Rather, agree with the spirit of peace given to you by the Lord your God. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. In this, we can be sure that anything outside of this is not meant for us, and we don't have to live in agreement with it. I speak this over your life and rebuke any agreement or alignment with the spirit of anxiety. Amen. God bless.

Definitely remember to be kind to yourself. Just remember that it can take 6 months to unpack and arrange everything

Yes, please be kind to yourself! And you get alot of content, taking your time and purging. When I moved into my house, It took a few months because of my work schedule. I'm an analyst too, and can't just take time off too much. You know how that goes!
For you bathroom to make it look more airy and bigger a light/ white curtain with minimum pattern drawings will look nice. There are too many tiles all over the wall so you don’t want to make it more saturated/ busy, you want a curtain that it doesn’t have huge pattern, can be textured but not big drawing pattern or deep colors, something white will give the illusion that the bathroom is more airy/ lighter and spacious.

It agree it doesnt look bad at all and I've always been a fan of that tone of green in that shower curtain haha! Also like that its transparent, theres something modern and cool about it! Having said that, I understand if Tisha would rather a lighter colour, there are other colours, like pastels that will probably look nice as well - but will always be a fan of that green curtain! haha

Tisha, shower curtains and liners can be washed in the washing machine just like sheets, towels, etc. The lighter colored shower curtain really brightened the bathroom up. A small piece of contact paper will cover up the rust on the bottom shelf of your medicine cabinet. Your kitchen sink will need to be re-caulked with some clear silicone along the edge to stop the leak.

Hi Tisha, I typed out a long message to you and it disappeared . One thing I can remember is get water proof caulk tub and tile in clear and caulk all around your kitchen sink. It will stop water from leaking into the underneath of it. Plus get water proof white paint and paint the inside of your medicine cabinet. Use rust remover or sandpaper and paint it to brighten it up. When I think of the rest of what I wrote I'll DM you. Know you are enough, you do your best, and it doesn't matter if you just show up. You are beautiful inside and out....have the best week

Hopefully you will be able to stay in your apartment for quite a few years. The moving costs, deposits, realator fees... I don't know how people can afford to move every other year.

I think a white fabric shower curtain with a small print maybe a small floral print or something with a verde y print to brighten your small bathroom. I think that you should put one or two plants in there as well. You are very pretty and very energetic. If you clean the area and put caulking around the sink it should stop the leak. Make sure that it is kitchen and bathroom caulking because it resists mold and mildew :)

I love the way your green couch looks in that bright living room, against the wood of your kitchen. So pretty! Re unpacking...go slow, and when dealing with misc stuff, just put a couple of items away at a time. Plug away at it, and try timing each "put away" session to 20 minutes--then take a break before you start again. Re the shower curtain--the hand-me-down does look so much better than the green one. You know, it's probably had more soap on it than anything else in the house LOL. Why not just put it through the washing machine and use it until you find the perfect one? As clean of a person as you are, I feel bad that you need to use the subway. I've been to New York, and even I (much lazier about cleaning than you, alas) felt totally squicky after riding the subway! Whew. It's grubby! I tried not to touch ANYTHING! Oh and re: lipstick, they're all different. To me--if it looks great, tastes great and smells great--it's fine. Lipsticks definitely let you know when they are no longer good. Eyeshadow can be more tricky, ugh.

My husband worries the same way. It will be something simple....his words.... but as soon as that one thing is over, he finds something else to worry about. I don't do this. But he totally does.

Just a tip from living in lots of different rentals; if you really like the shower curtain from the prior tenants you can clean it They can often go into a washing machine with vinegar and laundry detergent or you can soak it in the tub with vinegar/baking soda/detergent etc for your use

The apartment is cute. Personally, I’d want a white shower curtain. There’s a lot of variety in textures, styles, etc. I got mine at TJMaxx. I see a lot of TH-camrs doing cute/ pretty things with bathrooms without spending too much. Im sure you will, too. Just subscribed.

Totally relate to the “finding something new to be anxious about”! I genuinely wish I could share how I pushed past that but I’m pretty sure it was just a combination of lexapro and telling my anxious internal monologue to shut up lol
I totally understand anxiety over moving crap. It just the worst. I stayed another yr in my rental just so that not to have to go through moving again and accepting paying rental increase. But do as I have learned being single with your own place take your time and take many breaks it definitely helped me . After all it's just you to please. And Slow down,your doing find. Hi, so glad you are slowly but surely getting sorted. Like other comments "one day at a time". Maybe wash the shower curtain it really looked nice so you can change it up. Later on a carpet in your lounge area will soften that area and cut down noise. On that note how are you finding the neighbours?. Loved being and out about with you in my favourite 🏙 city. Girl, you really need to purge! You are one person with sooo sooo much!! You will feel better. FYI unless lipstick smell of rubber or becomes sticky first, keep no longer than 8 months.

I love the unpacking videos. Like others have said, they are so enjoyable and seem calm, I wish I were calmer too. You seem like the nicest person and your personality is super calm. You voice is soothing to listen to. So happy your channel was suggested for me! ;) Oh, I meant to tell you, I'm going to order a chair like yours for my work at home space. I've been looking for one. Mine is about 10 yrs old and is getting kind of worn out, it's shaky for example and the arm rests are indented lol. Maybe the tread mill too! I've been thinking of getting one of those for my work space.

Hey Tisha. Since you're doing unpacking and maybe decluttering as you go as well, I'd like to recommend Space maker and Carla project TH-cam channels. Both of them are great for declutter motivation, and also somehow entertaining to have on the background as you do your own cleaning. They also have some useful tips for what things to prioritize/ get done first etc so you don't burn out

I moved four years ago and have been quite sick most of the time. I have a spare room with boxes to go through yet! I know that weighs on us when theres things left to do. But you work and have a life. Be gentle with yourself. Love your channel!!

Hi…I’m a new sub and really enjoy your videos. I agree, I find your videos calming. I am a 76 year old granny who is originally from New Jersey but I now live in North Carolina. I am also a very anxious person and a worrier. I find that as I have aged I have become more nervous. Anything that you can do to help manage your anxiety (time management etc) is a good thing. I find that if I think a task with take an hour, I add on an extra 15 minutes so I’m not rushing. Rushing causes major anxiety I have found. Just a suggestion. ❤️

You are making progress! I encourage you to DEEP clean as soon as you can! Most important to have everything sanitary and well cleaned before you unpack! It will be more work to unpack and then have to move all your things around in order to properly sanitize.
We’re moving across the country in a few months and dealing my years of stuff from a 3100 square foot home! If I don’t discard/sell/donate things I no longer use, I’ll have to pay more to haul them 6 states south! It also will be most beneficial to keep “alike” things together and not have a random box of personal with kitchen or bathroom. The trick to a successful unpacking is sensible packing first! Wish me luck!!

You are doing great!! Remember don't put makeup/skincare/perfume in the bathroom it will break down the products quicker because of the humidity levels! Love your dainty gold heart necklace, so pretty! Keep a list of all the repairs like you always do. Chape did so well at the groomers, he's such a good dog ❤ going out to eat with friends & family looked fun! I could relate to when you said you are a worrier! There is definitely always something to worry about. At least u can afford therapy. I take medicine because it's cheaper 😂

There is not really a meaning for jhaape but the word is close to Jhaap (means drunk lol)

I have been watching you during your journey of finding your new apartment. I truly have enjoyed the adventure and ultimate new home for you and Chappie (so sorry if I spelled that incorrectly). I have also recently moved from San Diego to Alabama. We finally found a home (after three offers that fell through during horrible discoveries during inspections) We pray this one will come to fruition to be our new home. Inspections start next week!

Gosh I hate unpacking lol. And I’m a minimalist pretty much (apart from clothes), and it’s still such a chore. I hate moving. I own my home and am thinking of selling and building a tiny home and downsizing more stuff… but the thought of the selling process, building, moving etc is making me procrastinate 😅
