FINALLYYYYY!!! moving into my new nyc apartment :). My first quarter of 2024 has literally been spent on nyc apartment hunting and moving!!! I am so happy to be done with my first nyc aparment and move to something better and brighter :) . Beside moving to my new nyc apartment, we clean my old place, unpack a little bit, talk about my apartment issue updates and finally say goodbye to my first nyc apartment. I am so excited to finally get the "fresh start" I was supposed to get when I moved to nyc in 2023.

Your movers were amazing! I gave my movers money to get lunch on me after the move - they actually came back and brought me food! I hope that 5 floors of stairs isn't too difficult on you - my knees would be burning.
That is so sweet!! Vector moving did an amazing job. 5th floor walk ups are not a joke and they did it like a champ 🙌🏽
It’s so sweet to have friends and family to help move. That’s not common around here. A moving company, totally the way to go. Those folks must be in such good shape! You’re going to thrive in your new apartment.

Thank you so much ❤. Because of the all the issues & gas bills issues, I had used the security deposit as my “last month rent”. I am glad that there are no charges as part of the move out. I was really nervous about it

That was a STEEP climb for the movers! They are troopers! And how considerate of them to put all the electronics in one box instead of randomly tossing them here and there. Little acts of thoughtfulness go a long way! :)

Having a good moving team takes so much stress off of you. Paid $300 for 2 hours & they got it done so quickly! $400 for the U-Haul. My Mom helped me pack up my stuff. Having friends & family help donate their time is so helpful. I can't wait to see how you decorate your new place!

Thank you for sharing your life with us. I think you are amazing and inspiring to not give up, when things go wrong with where you live. I found your channel when I was going through a move. Three weeks after moving in I saw a rat not a mouse. Landlord was very supportive and put poison everywhere. It was killed but saw another one as well. It’s an old house and I was trying hard to change my mind set. I still would like to move the utility bill is too high, because the house is old and not maintained. It looked fine when I did the walk through, but until you live there the you find out the issues. I pray that you have no problems and enjoy living in New York. When I come back have to meet, if that’s okay 😊

I just realized that your old apartment was just a block away from where I lived most of my early life until my mid thirties. :) It was so nice to see the neighborhood because I haven't been there in quite a while even though I still live in Manhattan.

Having a great team of movers is worth paying. It certainly helps with the stress level. I learned to purge before moving. Having less to move; clothes, furniture, linens, expired food items, small kitchen appliances, expired hair/body products. You'll be surprised how much less stuff you need to box. Good luck Doll with your new apartment.

For your window that doesn't stay open and all windows really, buy window screens. We have 7 windows and they're useful all year round. They extend to the length of your window if they are a bit big. You can buy tall or short ones too.
