What a underappreciated genius, the man is just amazing.Saw him with Clapton in Dallas, didn't realize wow he was.Wow wow and more wow, have been playing since I saw the Beatles on SullivanAlmost threw my axe in the Trinity River, lol.what a phenomenal underrated player. My new favorite guitars of all time!Sorry Eric!
WOW.. Albert was very inspired on this one. I think he really digs this song and this old time style.. he just cuts loose like a kid. So glad you posted this.
Great......with Colonel Custer on pedal steel and Goliath on Bass you can't go wrong........Albert was great and snappy and the B Bender work was superb from the other guitarist
I simply loved this, even though it's not my main taste in music. The playing was so tight, and the whole song was well above C&W cliche level. Well, a bit above. But it sounded fresh.
Back when other British guitarists of his era were trying to play the blues, Albert loved country music. He listened to people like George Jones, Buck Owens, and Merle Haggard, and said "I like that! That's what I want to play!". And modulo a few detours during his career, like being asked by Eric Clapton to be a second guitarist on one of his tours, he has. This is a man who has spent 50 years honing his chops and playing what he loves about as well as it can be done. C&W isn't my main music either, but I'll listen happily to anything Albert does.
@@dennismccunney4462 All very true. Curiously, a younger friend of mine asked me yesterday to help him learn "Buckaroo", so there is hope that it won'tall get lost! (As long as he's not the ONLY one, of course.)
And, as usual, the moment Albert launches into his solo the camera pans away to the guy playing rhythm. Brilliant!
Love love this music...wish this new generation would play music like this!♥️
I sure miss you Chris Ivey, RIP Buddy, my Brudda from anuddah Muddah

Dear Chris. What a cool guy with all the associated fun-time habits we honky tonk heroes knew only too well. Still miss my friend.
