    Holy crap ive seen this 1000 times and it still blows my mind .. I hear different notes and bends each time I play it .. And good ole Ricky playing an acoustic like that .. I'd love a go off his guitar to feel the neck and string gauge .. Wow boys absolutely fantastic

    If you listen to the very end, Ricky and Albert are playing the same notes and they match perfectly! It really says something about Ricky's playing that he can keep up with Albert that way!

    Country started “going South” (pardon the expression) in the 90s. Not that there were no longer any great artists, of course there were. And are. But Country radio no longer would play the good stuff from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and would only play what was “hot” and “new”. When was the last time you heard Johnny Lee or Joe Stampley? Mel McDaniel? Dottie West? That’s why I listen to Sirius/XM or make my own selections on iTunes. Can’t count on radio program directors to give me what I want.

    @SuperGuitarman69 n lack of timing as with others of Nashville guitar players,Brad definitely has superior tone , no mistakes what so ever on any you tube videos of his(i've seen alot) , and most importantly his showmanship (the basic difference between rock stars and other guitarists) [a very important trait to capture an audience] , also lets not forget that ppl would much rather remember a mud on the tires solo (slightly difficult but beautifully composed) cont

    @slash129 I am on a ton of stuff.. But it is mostly signature stuff.. Not a lot of burning on records.. I am on Doug Jernegans record and half of Paul Franklins new record that hasn't come out yet.. Also I did Aubrey Haney's record and Branford Marsalis's new thing we just did..

    It appears that they were probably Brits, but I can't find anything definitive. I discovered, however, that Chas Hodges from Chas & Dave played with them.

    Boy, there sure is a difference in the sound of an acoustic guitar compared to an solid body electric!

  • @SuperGuitarman69
    @SuperGuitarman69 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @slash129 Lol, yeah it isn't anything to write home about.. Brent got to play on records in the 90's when country was cooking back then.. Now (with the exception of Brad) there really isn't any great need for cool playing.. It's mainly a chord pad "sound" thing with some ovd's.. Not much cool soloing.. and yeah Brent is the man.. But believe it or not? There are guys here that are just as incredible.. It makes me proud of Nashville. Wish they were known I really do.. They deserve it..

    @SuperGuitarman69 point taken , i've not been to Nashville so I dont know what other talent exists there besides youtube videos , I didn't say Brad was better than Brent tho, can you inbox me a song of one of these artist you mentioned you played on , even if i search for random songs of theirs I would kno if it wer you or other sessions guitarists , I love checkin out country inspired guitarists , thanks

  • @badfinger848
    @badfinger848 13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @SuperGuitarman69 Have you never heard of Brad Paisley? He's one of the best guitarists I have ever heard and he's not just great at playing straight-up country guitar but he can play blues, jazz and rock very well too! Paisley's 2008 album PLAY shows those four main genres off and even dives into sub genres like surf rock. And, of course, Albert Lee, Steve Wariner and B.B. King (as well as other great guitarists) join him for some songs on there!

  • @shakeypitt
    @shakeypitt 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    So was it Ray, Ricky and Albert who wrote it?

  • @slash129
    @slash129 13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @SuperGuitarman69 I respect you being a well reputed sessions musician , can I hear some of your work ? I would really appreciate it , I'm a freelance live guitarist myself (probably not as good),play mostly blues , rock n most recently country , I'm just saying there's a reason why brads up there,he runs around n plays what most other ppl cant do standing (I own a wireless n know how challenging that is),plus if you look at this video of Albert lee , there is a few bum notes ...cont

  • @motorcop01
    @motorcop01 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's a shame they didn't let Mark O'Conner or the keyboard player (sorry, I forgot his name...) share the solos! Both quite capable and to be snubbed is just a slap in the face at best.

  • @slash129
    @slash129 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @SuperGuitarman69 to predictable but highly difficult country phrased solos like the one above.Just saying , give him his due , dont look at it from a technical point of view , composing beautiful solos n signature riff is just as important , that where Brad,Mark Knophler,Joe Walsh,Slash score over Vai , buckethead,Brent Mason.

  • @slash129
    @slash129 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @SuperGuitarman69 sorry to burst your bubble Mr , but i've heard alot of the so called not famous Nashville guitarist and Brad is one of the best (solely as a guitar player) , then through in his song writing and amazing vocals n you'll see why he s a world wide hit n why the others aren't .

    @badfinger848 Brad is not in the elite. Sorry to tell you. I think as compared to what is "famous" (eye roll) he obviously has some talent above what else is heard coming out of Nashville. Come to Nashville and see for yourself. He couldn't hold a candle to the players that do not have deals. They are NOT famous, but trust me, around here Brad isn't anything. Us players rarely speak his name in conversations. And Jazz? BS he isn't even in the conversation. And if Brad knew who was posting P1

  • @SuperGuitarman69
    @SuperGuitarman69 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @slash129 No, you haven't... And Brad isn't a bad player, he is just really sloppy... He isn't even in the top 300 in Nashville... And burst my bubble? Hardly, I'm a pro session player... I am because I'm needed... If Brad didn't have a deal, he wouldn't be a session musician... He doesn't have the time, tone, nor chops.. And I really like Brad as a person.. But as a player he isn't in the conversation really.. But he its better than 90% of the garbage we put out here..
