I hope they do... I've met these two greatest guitarist several times and they are so humble and have so much time to talk music. I love them so much 🎸🎸
Well, some of us do. Smart musicians recognize continuity in music. That hot guitarist they idolize and want to play like had someone he listened to and learned from when he was coming up. Who was that? What did he pass along to succeeding guitarists who liked his stuff? I'll happily listen to anything James and Albert do, by themselves or together.
Well, I sure do and I’ve passed the love on to a whole bunch of younger people over the years. I just put a cd on at work occasionally and when they ask I tell ‘em who it is. Simple really. Long may Albert rock, he was my own introduction to what the guitar can do, but you’re right….everyone had a teacher😎👍
I think the REAL players do. The ones who want to cover up their sloppy play with distortion and wah pedals, will never appreciate or attempt this style. It takes practice and talent. There are are a lot of bar room EVH's, but only one real EVH.
It doesn't get better than this. Keith Richards talked about buying Ricky Nelson singles back in the day. He wasn't buying them because Ricky was the singer. He was buying them because James Burton was the guitarist, and he wanted to hear and analyze what Burton did on his Telecaster that Keith might be able to incorporate into his playing. James' next stop was lead guitarist in Elvis Presley's touring band. Burton was someone Albert listened to, and you can see he's tickled. "I'm up here on stage playing with _James Burton!_ This is so great!" (And Burton gets incredible _tone_ from his Telecaster. I suspect other Telecaster players hear him and say "How does he _get_ that _tone?_. That's awesome!" Do it as long as Burton has and you learn things...)
@@thirdstonewanderer864 I'm aware of Albert's career with the Everlys. He had played with Don and Phil separately. during their split-up. He got a call saying Don and Phil had been conducting secret rehearsals and had patched up their differences, and were planning a one-off reun ion gig at the Royal Albert Hall. Would Albert like to sit in on lead guitar? Sure. But it wasn't a one-off. Albert found himself the reunited Everly Brothers lead guitarist for the next 26 years, till Don and Phil retired and stopped tourinc.
Awesome! Two true legends of the guitar and JB is still such an amazing player whose virtuoso lead style is so admired by those who know the history of rock 'n' roll.
James is a pioneer of rockabilly guitar. Albert carried it forward into the next generation. After these guys are gone I sure hope someone picks up the mantle.
1 of my my idols and 2 heros. Bet if Elvis were still around he'd have gone past the Vegas glitter and been doing these gigs. Just a little silly comment has nothing to do with nothin but I keep noticing how James always looks like a good ole' country boy and Albert always looks so Brit. But they're one country in the music.
@gregnormal07 Of course I am, I met them both, even jammed one evening with James (!) in Paris. My remark was on Albert's voice's microphone who was too low. But that's all right any way they do ;-)
It's just a shame people today don't recognize how great this is...Two real legends.
I think they do

I could simply listen to Albert Lee play every night. 80years young and still can play those country licks and sing like the legend he is.
I don't think Albert stopped smiling the whole way through. Two of the best.
Fantastic!! How wonderful it is to be able to enjoy again James Burton and band. Only the King of Rock Roll Elvis Presley was missing.

Not many guitarists can upstage Albert.
Gran J, Burton
chorando aqui... que maravilha!
No better guitar players in the world.
Excellent 😁
A pair of great country-rock guitarists
Fender heaven.
James Burton....the man...
He is my music teacher
It was a great night
No music TODAY LIKE THAT
Clash Of The Titans!
There were backup singers. Honestly did not notice.
Nice to see James adopt the superstar guitar stance albeit less pronounced that those of lesser talent.
Imma git me one of them flame guitars, then I'll be able to play like James Burton.
Can't beat Albert :)
Those girls are great musicians.
None better.....
Jesus saves
Is this at Holmfirth in Yorkshire ,England?
The setting for a long-running TV sitcom about a bunch of old codgers who refuse to grow old. Hmmm.
Is that their great-grandaughters over there on the right?
no sound on voice micro

Иголки вгрызаются в локти в сосновом бору, а я его пру.
OLD MUSIC, THERE IS LITTLE MONEY FOR THE BOX TOPS
Le micro à lee est trop bas
Hybrid picking contest.
Unfortunate lighting on the instruments --can't see Burton's magic with the guitar.
What a noise?
Krystyna Pronko
Wonderful guitar playing, from 2 guitar masters.
The sound sucks
It's acually pretty good coming from a smart phone.
