    YEAH joe. . I’ve been subbed to him for a couple yrs almost. I saw that servo saver on his channel. And I mentioned it to you a while back. But He said that saver was discontinued when he did the video on it.
    He also ran his steering rod over to the opposite side.
    (O I see that’s what you did. Lol. I’m watching as I type lol ).
    Glad ya met my Virginia buddy.
    I’ve met him before(long before his TH-cam channel) ,I just couldn’t remember where it was really.
    He don’t live far from me .

    • @Chon-c
      @Chon-c 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Joe ? Watching that ?
      I see the shock only slows your servo to be less responsive with the thicker oil. It’s counter productive to the servos advantages. You wld be better off finding a stronger spring. Or if it was me ? I’d take those doings off and stretch/pull them longer to take more compression strength. Of course it will be tougher putting them on the rod. But that’s the trade off. 💁‍♂️.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shock made the saver move slower transferring more of the servo power to the tires. The dampener slows the spring action down a lot. With an uncontrolled spring, oscillation gets pretty wild. The dampener was also helping push the tires back and forth due to its resistance.

  • @BlueDually4x4
    @BlueDually4x4 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The shock does smooth it down, most solid axle trucks have a shock on the steering to do the same thing. I think you could find some stiffer springs for the freestyle servo saver, might take on off and go to a farm and ranch store or something like Tacoma Screw or Fastenall might have some springs that would work.

    What about coil-over shocks both directions? Since they are out of stock.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They would have to rest in the middle of travel for that to work. If they are both extended one side would pull apart when the other compresses.

  • @MikeBreda

      Spektrum has a horrible feature called AVC, of all the steering gyro setups it’s the worst one from what I’ve had. It’s possible it could have went too far and messed it up. Consider the Flysky GT5 radio. It’s way way better.

    Only problem i see is that shock compresses turning left and turning right it just extends fully and locks and shears rod end.

    • @ExocagedRC
