    Meet the NZXT H9 Elite! We asked for the H9 Flow, but NZXT sent us this one for some reason. It looks great but is extremely pricey. Is this something you could justify for an upcoming gaming PC build? Let's find out!

    My favorite thing about Greg is that he uses modest, obtainable parts. It gets tiring constantly seeing mega high-end i9-13900K RTX 4090 builds knowing full well I won't be able to afford hardware like that any time soon, especially as a broke college student.

      Affirm, Klarna, Sezzle, ZIP in that order. These apps don't require credit check and they'll let you split payments into 4 payments generally every two weeks.. I've been able to buy all the parts I want. Another nifty trick is buying gift cards with these apps... then combine the cards into one, bayum!
      My credit lines aren't that great, 300 limits on average, Klarna gave me 1400! Affirm varies but they also give you super high limits. Goodluck!

    a fancy word for the air space required to maximise airflow out of the case at the top is a 'plenum' - mounting rad and radfans below the plenum will ensure max airflow out of the plenum toward the venting holes at the 'rear' (behind the motherboard, on the top panel) of the case. anywho, nice case. thanks derbower!

    I just bought the H9 Elite, took some soul searching to spend £244 on a case. I originally placed an order for the H9 Flow + what I thought were 3 of the same NZXT fans I saw in the pictures of Elite for whats seemed an ok price of £59,. Turned out to be a different fan version called 'NZXT Core' which looked kind of boring compared to the Duo fans on the Elite, so returned the fans and canceled the H9 Flow order, and bit the bullet with the Elite

    Intereating the evolution of this case from the original H440 which I had gotten when that case first came out and wasn't as pipular back on the day, and then NZXT decided to make the H440 their main case, and just kept evolving it over the years to the now H9 Elite.
    Side note I also still have my NZXT Apollo Blue case from back in the mid to late 00s days when NZXT was trying to make their cases look like AlienWares lol!

    The H9 Elite is so nice and they’re so many things you can do with that type of case. Such as having a 15-inch Display in the front to really make the H9 Elite a beautiful build. For how it is now I might take consideration into buying it.

    • @titaniac3037
      @titaniac3037 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless you reallllyyy want that top glass panel, I would advise going with the H9 Flow over the Elite. Especially if the main selling point to you is the display, because both the Flow and the Elite share the same front panel. The price difference between them, as Greg said, makes it seem like a better deal to get the Flow over the Elite.

    My next build will be using this H9 Elite because it looks better than the Flow and o11D. I'm not worried about airflow because I have central heating and air and don't live on the equator. It will be efficient enough even with the glass top because air still escapes through the perforations up there.

  • @YoMaldi
    @YoMaldi ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the case and it's fairly easy to build in, but if you install an RTX 4000 series GPU you need to get a 90°/180° 12v HPWR adapter or a vertical GPU mount and riser cable for you to be able to close the glass side pannel because the stock 12v HPWR sticks out too far.

  • @juliashenandoah3965
    @juliashenandoah3965 ปีที่แล้ว

    I absolutely love that minimalism look! It looks perfect from all angles and even the top is made of glass (at least glass parts, kinda a glass-frame around the fans.) The pure and minimalistic and small looking NZXT CPU cooler instead of some ugly oversized bulky cooler, the gun metal grey colour of the graphics card and the non-RGB pure white illumination of the three fans in the otherwise complete black builds spices up the overall look.
    For years I thought the Corsair Obsidian 500D (NON-RGB of course!) with the two massive tinted glass doors is the best case worldwide. Now I have found a second most beautyful best case worldwide, the NZXT H9 :)
    If I build a second PC for Flight Simulator 2024 in a year or so I will choose this case.

    Honestly, I had the O11 Dynamic XL and was not happy with it at all. Was heavy and just tall af. Swapped it with the Hyte Y60 and I'm much more pleased. more compact but spacious and airflow is amazingly great and that's on a non water cooled setup. Planning to water cool later on.

  • @myspacenrg
    @myspacenrg ปีที่แล้ว

    are 11 fans any more energy efficient over a liquid cooled setup? It feels like the electrical draw would add up to being more of an energy drain than an AIO and a couple of fans to help air flow. interested in your thoughts.

      This rig didn't stay together long enough for the need for a drive, which is why it wasn't mentioned. But it would have been an NVMe here. Adding a HDD wouldn't have complicated cable management much at all. As you can see, the H9 provides ample space for cabling.

The PCIE cables pressed uncomfortably on the glass side panel. I was building for someone else, so swapped out the card. Had it been my own build, I'm not sure what I would have chosen to do. However, I was surprised there was even an issue. I don't think the current 4000 series cards and perhaps not the 7000 series cards would fit. Perhaps even a beefy 3090 would fit in the Neo. I wonder if there would be an issue with this case or other 011 clones or the 011 itself?

    Hi Greg great video. nicely done. I'm just not a NZXT fan. I'll just leave it at that.

    I kinda love this case. My 011D DB Edition is awesome and I love it, it was gifted to me by a friend for my birthday. The NZXT case is really cool with some nice features, but the price is a bit of a turn off. I mean, the 011D is around $130 and the added features and design doesnt warrant a case that is nearly double the price. Some people think its worth it and I dont feel that its necessarily a rip off, just really kinda out there for what it is. Either way, if I catch it on sale for like $50 or off, Ill snap one up.

    Dare to be different Greg, love the build! 2080 fits within the motherboards boundary and adds to the clean lines of the case layout.

      @@bobbjonn6935 I thought they were pretty much the same despite a minor difference? Well if I do go with the flow then it can save me $100

    I regret getting the H7 Flow now that the H9 is out, they should've launched them alongside eachother with H5 also
