Now if you would restock them in europe that would be nice because i am already waiting for 2 weeks and none are available :) Already have all of the other parts for my new pc just no H9 Flow available to buy :(
Even if 99% users doesn't seems to have noticed, There is still a major difference in my regard. The Lian Li o11 Evo has a Tinted Glass, which im not sure to like compared to the NZXT H9 that has a CLEAR VIEW glass, which will be amazing. Depending on preferance, I think the tinted glass looks more premium and stealthy, BUT will be more shadow, dark than the NZXT H9. Im not sure just for that reason which one I would prefer honestly. I'm surprised no one has talked about this xD
I just bought an o11 evo rgb. I currently have the h9 but it's too tall. Yes it's a roomy pc case but it seems like there is so much no needed room and I like how the evo o11 is short and a little more compact I guess you can say. My h9 takes most of my desk. Lol. I think the evo is better as aesthetic wise yes the evo but for room the h9
I love your sense of humor and you're very engaging to listen too. Never bored, never skipped. Highly informative! Thank you so much for doing this comparison!
I was considering on wanting to get the Lian Li o11 case for my next build but I’ve decided to go with the NZXT H9 Elite because that case looks so clean I like it.
I sprung for the H9 Flow and even without adding lower case fans my rig runs very cool. With a Corsair H150i Elite 360 AIO CPU - 7950X3D = 60C in gaming, peak of 87C in Cinebench R23 multi core GPU - Gainward Phantom GS 4090 = 56C in gaming I game at 4K 120 FPS very settings cranked up to max.
When comparing the Lian Li O11 and NZXT H9, the Lian Li O11 generally offers more flexibility and customization options for cooling and component layout due to its open design, while the NZXT H9 provides a cleaner aesthetic with better cable management features and integrated RGB lighting; which is "better" depends on your priorities for your PC build. Key points to consider: Design: Lian Li O11: Open, modular design with multiple mounting points for fans and radiators, allowing for extensive customization but potentially less clean cable management. NZXT H9: More structured design with dedicated channels for cable management and integrated RGB lighting, offering a cleaner look. Cooling Potential: Lian Li O11: Excellent potential for high-performance cooling with ample space for large radiators and multiple fans across various mounting points. NZXT H9: Still good cooling capabilities, but slightly less flexibility compared to the O11 due to its more structured design. Ease of Use: Lian Li O11: May require more planning and effort for optimal cable management due to its open design. NZXT H9: Easier cable management thanks to pre-designed channels and cable routing features.
Awesome vid. Love how you have a black and white build on display, with one vertical and one not, one cpu fan and one aio cooler. Wish more pc videos took after this!
funny.. my last rig had no fans exept the cpu fan... ran really cool... cuz it was in open air stuff to a walnut board...and 1 $10 box fan roughly 2 1/2 feet in diameter..saved $250 and put in in for twice the gpu I was gunna buy... cases should cost $50 because well they're pretty much not needed and just takes up more space while cramming it into a little metal box WILL = a hotter pc
@@harleyme3163 I prefer not having to thoroughly cleaned my pc on a daily basis as I’m currently living in a rather hot and heavily dusty country. So, open air pc of any kind is not an option for me because it’s gonna get dirty real fast.
Awesome case. Not sure if it's worth upgrading from the O11-DynamicXL but it's definitely nice. Wish mine didn't have the silver/aluminum front panel. I like how it's white on this one
Problem with the H9 Flow and Elite is , they don't offer E-ATX motherboard support officially in their cases, you have to butcher the poor case and remove parts from the case to make a EATX motherboard fit, like the new X670E boards like the ACE from MSI , Godlike or the Asus one which name i forgot, so for me who have decided i want to get the MSI MEG ACE board , the Evo seems to be the natural solution because NZXT did a poor job at designing it so it would fit a EATX
I'm having a custom liquid cooled h9 elite built with the rtx 4090 with 32 gigs of ram and a few Terabytes of storage and memory.and many more cosmetic Customizations.. 👊
Waiting on mine to arrive now. Got the H9 elite otw. Btw i got the PNY 4080 to fit in the H5 elite with watercooler mounted. I thought it wouldnt work but does and temps are not bad. But cant wait to build this sucker next week! Great breakdown vid my guy.
Thinking the same thing, and I’d rather have the Flow over the elite since the Flow will actually exhaust air from the top. Idk how the air will be exhausted out the top through glass. 😮
On the H9 elite, try mounting the cpu cooler on the back panel to the right rather than on the top. There is a glass panel there blocking any air flow to the cpu cooler so mounting it where it can actually breathe should improve temps.
Hi, I see that you have used Lian li fan kit in H9 Elite, but for the rear it is the NZXT RGB fan, is there an alignment issues for the rear fan, I have seen comments from people on other videos that they for rear exhaust they are facing issues with Lian li fan.
Thanks for the good video. I have a question. I'm currently using Rog Helious (with all 4 stock 140mm fans) and Rog Raujin 360 MK I (with the small display) and stock Noctua fans on it, thinking about changing case (Phanteks NV9 or 7; O11 Evo D XL or NZXT H9 Flow). So question is which one is better for GPU and CPU Temp if any? Thanks.
Thanks for the great review Mr. Robey, can i ask at 5:05 there's kind of a spotlight on the top, inside the black case. Is it a light or RGB fan? Which fan is it?
Its a pretty nice case, but this case costs 2000 reais in Brazil, 400 dollars more or less, haha, it's a pretty tough investment, but I think it's worth it
This is the pretty much exact pc I want, how ever should I get an Intel Core i9-13900K or ryzen 9 7950X? Also I realy like Asus features and was wanting an Asus motherboard so which one do you reccomend in this build if you know any good ones.
CAn you share GPU temps with the vertical against the horizontal build please? I really like how at 4:59 you show the distance of the card to the side panel, which is really important for vertical build. It seems that there is plenty of room for the card fans to suck air. Is this the case for o11 Dynamic Evo as well ?
Great video btw! Just a question, I am gonna build my first pc at the end of this year and I don’t know much about pcs. At the moment I am thinking about getting an i5 13600K or 13600KF and a 4070. Would this case be too big for those parts, would it make it look empty inside of the pc because that’s what I’m unsure of. I really love the look of this case, just wondering if it would be a weird match with the parts. Also if anyone reads this and knows about pcs, what other parts do you think I should get? My budget is $2500 NZD which is roughly $1500 USD
lian li rgb fans are the best looking fan imo, your kinda wasting money if your not gonna use the included fans with the h9, im shopping for a build and have the same issue with the IO. I want the nzxt kraken but dont like nzxt fans, so have to buy 3 additional lian li fans to replace the ones that come with the IO. If NZXT upped their fan game, i could consider a full nzxt case, IO and fan build all connected to their controller for sync.
I noticed with the Lian li evo the glass side panel was not fitted. Is this because the power cable on the 4090 hits the glass when the gpu is installed horizontally? Was wondering if both cases have problems with a 4090 in horizontal fitting with regards to the power cable. thanks.
Can anyone tell me what's the spotlight thing in the black H9 case in this video? I really like it. Is it from a fan? I'm soon going to buy the H9 case and would like to have that kind of light on the top.
Just wondering as I have not seen a build yet that has done a push/pull on the top radiator with the pull fans on the top side of the bracket and underneath the top panel. With the Flow's top panel I would think this is ideal, especially since the AIO is likely going to come with fans that won't fit with the rest of the case fans used and can be utilized out of sight. Do they simply just not fit up there (not enough clearance to put the top panel on flush)?

4:10 The O11 Dynamic can run up to 13 Fans. Not sure if you would ever need that many, but hey. The Lian Li is still at the top of my list, but admittedly, the NZXT beats the Lian Li with its design choices.
The corner glass goes hard but it limits the overall potential in the long run. I believe the Lian Li is more future proof and has a bigger community of users for support.
Okay, maybe there’s a small part of me that thought there might be a bigger difference in temps in the Elite and Flow versions… Also, Corsair are rolling out updated RGB Elite versions of the 4000D Airflow and 5000D airflow with the RGB AF fans plus mounts on the PSU shroud for airflow for the graphics card. Will this warrant a side-by-side build comparison between the original and updated 4000D/5000D cases with the same PC components to see whether the Elite has become better in any way? Side note: are you thinking about updating the current Robeytech titles to match the font of the newer Robeytech Live titles? Been looking back and forth between the two sequences and the text could not be any more different.
Temps are a fair amount better in this case than the Lian. I prefer this one if running a GPU that utilizes a lot of watts like a RTX 3070 Ti and higher. For the RTX 4000s series, 4080 and higher. 4070 Ti for some reason just runs slightly cooler than a 3070 Ti.
NZXT RGB connectors and control used to be a proprietary abomination, this was one thing I did not like and Lian Li did it better. Not sure if they have improved on this.
Thanks for the thorough review Mr. Robey!
You are welcome!

Okay, maybe there’s a small part of me that thought there might be a bigger difference in temps in the Elite and Flow versions…
Also, Corsair are rolling out updated RGB Elite versions of the 4000D Airflow and 5000D airflow with the RGB AF fans plus mounts on the PSU shroud for airflow for the graphics card.
We tested the case we test all cases and the results show what they show. We use the same hardware and everything to minimize the variables.
Does the side mesh have dust filters?
Yes it does
Can you do push pull configuration on h9 flow ?
anyone watercooled in this? how was it
what is that cpu fan anyone?
NZXT RGB connectors and control used to be a proprietary abomination, this was one thing I did not like and Lian Li did it better. Not sure if they have improved on this.
"at 26lbs its a very heavy case"
**Me looking at my Tower 900 thats 56lbs empty**
PSU directly behind the CPU - no wonder the CPU temps are higher....
just waiting for the nv7 to come out D=
