- I Bought A Lot of Silver - Junk Silver Purchase and Hunt (Capped Bust Half Dollar)
I went to my silver dealer and purchased all of his available Junk Silver. This bag of silver has $185.90 Face Value full of Walking Liberty Half Dollars, Ben Franklin Half Dollars, Barber Half Dollars, and all types of other Silver Quarters and Silver Dimes!
Knowing that he rarely picks through them, I decided to buy them all in hopes of maybe adding a few upgrades to my album, or possibly scoring a better date or two. I did not expect to find so many coins (including old Silver Half Dollar Commemoratives, a BU Toned 1964 DDO and even a Capped Bust Half Dollar that I could add to my coin collection and coin albums in this purchase...
In this video, I will search through all the old Silver coins from the bag. I will be looking for key dates, semi key dates, upgrades, and of course and varieties within the years I hunt.
Hopefully you all enjoy this video!
As always - Happy Hunting and Thanks for Watching AND keep Stacking that silver my friends!!!

Probably a hard question considering you do this professionally, but how many pounds of silver do you own?
Where do you buy those sleves?
@@nullsnaggle5198 I get them on Amazon - Non-plasticized 2X2 Flips.
Hey you you should ask for any Gold dumps.
1922 wheat pennies are the rarest technically
Sure 1909S VDB is the rarest wheat penny, but by year its 1922
Crazy to think that 1829 Capped Bust is almost 200 years old. The world was a COMPLETELY different place when it was minted.
it's 192 years old... THAT'S VERY OLD
@dallastexas1845 194 now
A lot of those Silvers look to be metal detecting finds that someone needed money for. That Capped Bust is a score in it self, I would have been happy with that alone.
Here are the coins that I like.
I like
Lincoln Wheat Cents (1909-1958)
Jefferson Nickels (1938-1964)
90% Silver Roosevelt Dimes (1946-1964)
90% Silver Washington Quarters (1932-1964)
90% Silver Benji Halves (A.K.A. Franklin Half Dollars) (1948-1963)
Especially Steel Cents (1943) and 35% Silver Jefferson War Nickels (1942-1945).
I have watch this video at least 5 times in the past week. Will have have played it anyways, every time someone pulls me away. I finally got to watch it all the way through. Great stuff, love these videos.
i started coin roll hunting a while back (2 years ago) and i found a 1910 the other day. For anybody thinking about coin collecting it is a very enjoyable hobby!
@ROB FINDZ 💎♦️💠🥇 TREYAZURE THANKS FOR SUPPORTING Our MATE @RAVEN TODAY😻❣️
YEET
i love watching these junk silver videos
That looks like a lot of fun. What would the muliple be for silver coins for face value. I would like to buy some, and do not want to get ripped off. Thanks in advance
Anywhere in the 19-22x range
Where do you buy these? Looking on eBay all I see is “estate” sales where they show tons of coins but only are Accualy selling 1
Edit: nvm just saw the pinned comment
Nobody around me sells anything “unsearched” my dealer goes I just got some 90% dimes In $21 a face. hands me a tube and I just wanted to see them so I opened it and saw a seated and a few barber dimes to which he quickly took back and want to charge a lot more... goes oh I didn’t know there were barber dimes in there. Those would be priced each.
That’s why I just buy and go from there. If it’s good - I buy more. If not, I tell them I might be back.
@@RobFindsTreasure I knew I should have just not looked. But like you I don’t just stack, I enjoy the coins too. So I wanted to see what I was getting. A mistake I won’t repeat.
@@heyyou5801 just my opinion but that is completely unprofessional, it's the dealers mistake not yours there's absolutely no reason he should have taken those back, again just my opinion
@@zackjones8556 I agree. What really soured me was I know he paid whatever scrap pricing he charges to buy them and then tried to get a lot more after learning what was in there. It’s unfortunate but I don’t know of many places that sell junk silver reasonably in my area.
Wow that 1829 capped bust silver dollar is almost 200 years old
Can we get another metal detecting vid soon that would be fun!
I really want this. I dont care if its just the 1933-1964 quarters and 1946-1964 dimes(which arent anything other than washington quarters and roosevelt dimes) ill take it
Rob find a capped bust half in junk. I find an 1875-CC half in junk. Always worth looking through the junk silver. Never know what you'll find.
I agree and nice find for you as well!
Love your videos! I’m a new subscriber, and can’t wait for more content! HH
I've seen pictures of DDOs, I've seen your videos of them too, but I still have trouble telling the difference between a proper strike and a DDO. lol. Guess that's why I don't collect them. Congrats on the 1964 DDO.
There is a 1829/7 for that capped bust
How does this not happen to me?!?😭
I would say I have found a couple things in the junk silver bins at my LCS. I’ve found a v nickel in XF and a 1915s barber quarter. But nothing like this...
I lived in Georgia all my life I would love to have a stone mountain half
Yes sir, Barber and Seated go in my Indian Head Penny box. Those coins were in circulation before aircraft and paved roads. In 1905 there was only 144 miles of pavement, mostly big cities.
5:03 if you have a quarter book 1932+ that's definitely a upgrader
64 FS-101 questionable color.
Very Cool Looks Like Alot Of Fun
I got a stone mountain for Christmas
*2:00** goose-bums! LOL. Spectacular buy/ hunt mate.*
A mint state toned DDO... wow. It will grade out at a 63 or 64 but the toning. Insane.
You stole that junk silver! I paid $130 for 20 silver Washington quarters at my lcs last week.
Fun exposure to old silver and varieties. I have troubles finding junk silver and died in the wool coin shops in my area. All coin shops are silver exchanges. So I’ll watch you have all the fun until.....
For those who don't know about Stone Mountain, look it up. Hopefully that monument will get torn down and that commemorative coin will go up in value.
I bet your dealer will be kicking himself or firing the guy that put that 64 and commemoratives in the junk pile lol very awesome finds congrats definitely a thumbs up thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
Rob I have a new saying it ain’t junk if it’s over melt👍
I have always loved finding silver
Hey Rob, could I buy one of those Stone Mountains?
They’ve been sold or given away brother.
For 40 years I have coined rolled banks..once in a while...found great coins for years until youtube started ....it seems banks have quit giving out rolls of coins to folks that have been customers for years...why is that Rob?...whats your opinion?
Hey Rob is this the same rob on tiktok, that has a self defense tiktoc
Ugh I'd do anything for a chance to buy a bag of "junk silver"!! Nine of my banks here in Montana around me sell it. It's like pulling teeth to get them to sell rolls of any coin as well
Yeah i got a 1919 in my junk dimes yesterday... kinda cool how rare 30 and 31 are and they didn't release half the 31 til 34... also don't think they very many 2020 dimes
That poor 1897 barber half dollar man who ever did that needs to have thire butt to be kicked.
I know - it would have been an awesome one too!
@@RobFindsTreasure I agree would have been a great coin to a collection at least it's safe and sound with you now to retire it and keep it safe from anymore evil coin wreckers.
I bought a 500 dollar quarter box.
the bank helped over 3 or 4 months
what grade did the ddo 1964 kennedy get?
It’s still there…
I need to acquire a Stone Mountain someday
ill sell you one
I hate people who stamp holes in extremely rare expensive coins or just silver coins unless they are almost unreadable
You always tell a face value but some other reason you never tell us how much you paid for it that’s what we wanna know
Wow, such great finds
What a great buy!!! That DDO Kennedy is AMAZING!!!
say dd what??
Why are these coins called junk and only treated as silver value? If I had those id have put them all in sleeves and cases! Those are all rare rite and collectable?
Hey, great video! I just wanted to ask you where one can purchase a “junk silver” grab bag other than a local dealer. My birthday is coming up, and I thought that this would make a great present. Keep up the great work!
Try a reputable dealer on eBay or APMEX online.
@@danbuchner28 nah they give extortionate prices like $250 for $150 dollars in barber halves
Do you sell any junk silver near melt value? If you do please lmk.
Good job.
Yesssss, an 18 minute video on silver!
And 34 seconds
My husband has a lot of coins and would like to speak with you about it
Do you have any Barber or Benji Halves for sale??
That’s an impressive bag!!
Now that is a bad of Silver awesomeness wow
That 58 quarter looked brand new
It's a upgrader
When is silver ever junk? I need to find a decent coin shop now my fav. closed forever. 1 shop closes, alters your collecting forever. Who doesn't look through their silver? Incredible.
lucky bastard..lol..congratz
look at all those silvers, great hunt rob >:D
I didn’t see a s mint mark on the proof quarter. That could be something
I bought my Capped bust for $29.50, similar Grade, smaller hole and the next year (1830)
I went to my coin dealer and he said he didn’t have any junk silver. ?? What the heck.
that happens in coin collectors nightmares
That 1897 I’ll buy it
Love the constitutional buys. Wish my lcs had bags like that👍👍👍
How much did you buy that for?
Wow that good is trying to buy junk but I can’t find any one the one I have trued they liedofer something come with something else
This was a Fun hunt, great job hunting through all those silver coins. It's nice to see history in your hands, Thanks for Sharing
Rob you should do a type set video
That capped liberty is fantastic. Amazing to think its almost 200 years old.
And what a pleasant surprise! I’ve purchased a lot over the years from this dealer and that’s the first one I’ve found!
It is over 200 years but stil cool
You should give the heavily damaged silver to Charlani she might like those for The uglys collection 😁👍
That is a lot of silver 😎
13:11 Doubled on god🙏🙏
That looks like a lot of fun. 💥💥💥
I have never seen a Ziploc that made me happier
Dats alot for 185$
A capped bust half dollar? That's crazy!
Now that is annoying
???????
Clink clunk clunk
I have a 1926s
Can you teach me where to buy those silver junk coins and how
Gole!
Goooooo
Busted out the gloves, u know its serious now.
Yeah rob is always touching the good ones raw dog style. Wait for all his bu pennies to be dark thumb prints in 3 months as the penny album hunt and fill goes on.
Very nice video, thanks for sharing. 👍
Very nice!
Cool
wow!
Wassup rob les go!!
Let's Go ADAM! 💥
Muy buen vídeo, Saludos desde Argentina.
CAPPED BUST?!? Whew!!! I would only dream of buying one, let alone for melt value! Can’t wait for more junk hunts!
Look for ones with small holes, got my 1830 for 29.50 with a small hole, VG, normally a $200 coin.
@@connormeriwether4686 Thank you for the advice, im kind of a newbie and even though i love the capped bust i just didnt really know what to look for
I was hoping for a penny roll hunt
Somehow I never got a notification for this. Oh well, still love to watch no matter if I'm a day late
One persons Junk is another ones Treasure...
Where are you putting these auctions?
AWESOME finds Rob! I so wish there was a dealer here on the Outer Banks of North Carolina but we're geared to tourists so no such luck...gotta travel to even find a small coin shop! But great finds!👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
How could of you dislike this?
If you paid spot you did well.
Easily my favorite videos of Yours excellent job
Thank you Erik!
I love this type of hunt that you do Rob.
Love that slow motion sound of silver clacking...
