- Toyota Landcruiser 2003-2009 120 Series Prado LC3 LC4 LC5: Access to the cigarette lighter socket electrics / dashboard trim removal. This is a quick video I shot whilst removing the trim in my Landy to do some electrical work. I thought it might be helpful to anyone out there wanting to do the same. Removing trim can be scary so hopefully this vid will make thinks easier.

Don't worry about the quality - it was right to the point and helped me out - cheers!
Great video mate, regardless of the angle quality. Just what I was looking for!

The video is not bad at all. it is really helpful for beginners like me!!! thanks for sharing..Cheers
+Naskabir Vengassery Many thanks. I like to make things nice and simple - that's the only way I can understand them ; )
Is the cigarette lighter supply permanent or is it switched by relay/ignition/acc switch? I need to run a permanent (Fused 3A), an ACC position (Switched, fused (1A)) and ground for a satellite telephone docking station. I prefer to make simple wiring in the cabin rather than under the bonnet. I will too, be documenting, videoing, photographing so my technicians can make use.
Do you happen to know how you get out the panel that has the 120W cigarette lighter socket? I am trying to check the wires behind as I have no power in the socket.
it is very useful and good explanation thanks it was very helpful
Many thanks : )
can we have a video of installing the USB ports
+King Biker B
Hi King. Thanks for your question.
These USB ports are actually part of my Pioneer head unit fit. You can see that video here - th-cam.com/video/O6COtsXzzyE/w-d-xo.html
Pioneer seem to expect you to live with two cables permanently hanging down from the rear of the unit which I think is mad, so I made a simple connection block from bits of plastic and some car body filler... this is in the video ; )
I hope this is of some use to you.
All the best.

No worries : )
About to retrofit a single din size uhf in there and use the ciggy lighter power as the uhf power source as I don’t fancy paying $490 for an outback roof console
