      The whole first part of the video was showing that common solution didnt pan out in studies and that only the Paleolithic Ketogentic Diet (PKD) has shown improvement in the tight junctions. It's also not a cure, just a study showing it is actually something that tightens the loose junctions which should help with many conditions.

Blood pressure still high and gallstones got bigger. All from my severe leaky gut, which also caused histamine intolerance and oxylate sensitivities. They measure my ulcers, give me protonix and send me out the door. I'm anemic and struggle with my menstrual cycle. It seems to exacerbate all of my stomach issues every month. I die every single month. I cant hold anything down, I'm in excruciating pain for sometimes weeks. And then I get a week of relief and then by that time 3 weeks has gone by and it's time to do it all over again..... I gave up on doctors 2 years ago. I feel like I was once blind, but now I can see because of the Good Doctor. I could feel the effects of poor digestion and complications for so long. And now I can begin to understand the how’s and why’s thanks to the Good Doctor 👩‍⚕️ taking the time and effort for people hurting like me.
    I have recently completed two 5 day fasts and I am amazed how my digestion has improved. Nevertheless I feel I still have a long way to go before I can rest.
    Good luck to all those sailing on Captain Dr. Boz’s ship of Hope.

  • @CavalierNSN
    @CavalierNSN 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good Lord!!! By now, we ought to know that there are a number of specific "foods" and groups of foods that cause these issues. One report I read indicates that, in America, we eat over 200lbs of added sugar every year. Why is this, still, an issue? When I found out that breads, grains, sugar carbs, corn, beans, fruit overindulgence and fiber were killing my digestive system, I eliminated them. I'm no longer snacking, and I've lost 70lbs. Here's my rule: if you're eating more of processed foods than those closer to their natural state, you'll end up a subject of a video like this one. You can't convince me that a cookie or a cupcake is food. It's edible, but it provides no nutritional yield compared to the energy and water expended to digest it. There are industries tempting you with sweet this and food channel that. Think critically about that. You're outnumbered but you can win if you plan to win. That's all folks.

    After weeks of researching PKD papers, translating from Hungarian to English and listening to every podcast and youtube that Zsophia clemens is in, here are some basics of PKD. There is so much more but time is limited. Plus, its complicated (some of what she says doesnt make sense to me) when you can't get the full protocol and try to piece meal all that she has said (or written). Everything below I heard Dr Clemens say and made the below notes.
    The main point Paleo medicina (Zsophia Clemens out of Hungary -not Poland) wants to make is you must first fix your gut! Cure will not happen unless your gut has been fixed. The (PKD) diet works by normalizing gut permeability. The typical/classical Keto diet goal is ketosis at any cost (such as, eating a lot of keto junk like seed oils and nut butters and keto snacks; this type of keto diet does NOT heal your gut. PKD goal is healing gut with ketosis fueled by only meat and organs (AFTER you've healed ur gut, you can add in some plant foods that they (Paleo medicina) have okayed like cabbage, brocolli, and i think carrot).
    You must have glucose 80 or below. You must have ketones at 2.0 it doesn’t make matter better to have high ketone levels such as 3.5 or 4.0 and it is not “real” ketosis to have ketones below 2.0. Zsophia says: “People who are not ill can go in and out of ketosis but cancer and autoimmune patients cannot and must stay in ketosis everyday for years. Staying in ketosis at all times normalizes leaky gut. This is what gives you the cure."
    Zsophia gives the example: 155lb person should eat 55 grams (up to 70 is okay but no more) of protein. Too much protein turns into glucose and takes you out of "therapeutic" ketosis (around 2.0). If lower, You will then be running on glucose instead of fats and ketones. You will not get well. Running your body on glucose gives you 2.5 less energy than running your body on ketones and fat. The protein requirements of PKD are low compared to general protein recommendations because excess protein overloads the systems in the body which then it has extend energy to get rid of the protein. PKD diet for sick people; absolutely no dairy ever because dairy lowers your iron, minerals and electrolytes, also, no eggs in the beginning (I think shes saying not for the first 6 months) because some people have an allergy to them. Honey and certain plants are allowed after you are healed up to as long as you are still in 2.0 ketosis daily. Uric Acid is NOT a problem on the PDK diet. For many (but not all) Uric acid will increase when u start the diet there will be a transition. Ketones and uric acid are competing to be realized but eventually it normalizes. In short, eventually w/in a month or so, Uric acid goes back to normal. PKD is not associated with any kidney stones….Zsophia”. There observation show, If you get kidney stones you already had them and PKD releases them.
    There is about 100 grams of protein in a pound of red meat. So in terms of weight of meat, the ratio of meat to fat is 100g meat to 35g fat. So roughly 3:1 ration meat to fat in weight (apprx 85/15). since meat contains both proteins and fat, one has to take into account that fat content in the 2:1 fat to protein ratio. I have heard Dr. Clemens saying that as a rule of thumb, one can add 35 grams of pure animal fat for every 100 grams of meat. Elsewhere she mentions we need to be carefull not overeating proteins as the excess is a burden on the system. A typical 70kg person needs somewhere between 50 and 60 grams of proteins a day (as building blocks, not energy source). She also says eating twice a day is the best and believes we should not be fasting since we need the nutrition from daily food intake. We therefore can go 2 meals a day of 226g of meat (6 ounces) each to which we add 79g of animal fat. I dont think there will be a part 2 from Dr Boz because their keto diets are very different; and PKD wouldnt go over well in the West (big pharma). although, I'd love to see Dr Boz get an interview with Dr Clemens. The brilliance of Dr Boz would know how to ask the deep questions which is well needed....since its so difficult to figure out PKD.

    • @sarahb.6475
      @sarahb.6475 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you are saying a person is supposed to live on 12 ounces a meat a day? I can't maintain my weight at 1.5 pounds a day! And that is grass fed beef. I sure couldn't maintain it on 12 ounces. And I am already underweight. The fat content in the beef I eat is 15% fat.

      with pkd you dont go with how many grasse per kg... you go with your hunger.... you only eat MEAT so youdont care about this or that its 35g of fat by 100g of meat on scale PERIOD and you shouldnt be eating more then a pound of meat RAW on scale per day you dont have to complicate things its ment to be simple !

    Perhaps as you say, that "nothing helps with this condition", is simply because you are looking only at pharmaceutical "solutions". They are rarely truly solutions but rather symptomatic suppressors, is that not true? L-glutamine and zinc are reported to be highly effective and helped me tremendously with my leaky gut (I have no problem with the simplistic expression). It is no wonder that your proposed diet has been shown, as you said, to be helpful - dietary and nutritional solutions are almost always the best answer. I have seen the medical industry slowly shifting toward this reality in many ways over the past 50 years or so. The problem is that it has taken much that long and a lot of needless suffering has occurred in the mean time. However I do enjoy your videos so thank you.

A low carb way of eating is definitely great for UC and works. I do eat a bit of fruit as to get Vit C. But try to keep it low as I can. Mostly sticking to a few berries, pawpaw and pineapple. Pineapple having Bromelain a good anti-inflammatory. I loved your video, thank you. helps us ordinary folk to understand it better. Is there another part to this as I'd love to know more.?

    Hey doc, hey doc, I have something called anomic aphasasia as I guess a lot of people do, so it's easier to say leaky gut. Intestinal permeability desease actully means leaky gut. Actually I'm sure most doctors in the world find a Latin name for it, or maybe even a Greek name.

    Is a strict carnivore diet as good as a pkd diet for healing leaky gut

    Dr Boz, can you tell me if I fix my Intestinal Permeability will my food sensitivities go away? Or will I be always stuck with them? I am reacting to so many foods its hard to get enough calories. Main calories are coming from 1.5 pounds of grass fed beef a day (plus a little organic produce for extra potassium or I get constipated) - and I am underweight. I can't eat more beef. Totally stuffed from 1.5 pounds. I have celiac plus a bad corn allergy (react to airborne). Grain free since july 2019. Dairy & egg free since November 2020. I would like to hopefully get a few foods back, like the banana? Do you know?
