Thank you for your review,I am planning on visiting Koh Chang soon. I always appreciate your comprehensive and informative reviews, Question, can you remember how much was the Baht bus cost from your hotel into White sands and back? and is there any other form of transport around the island?

Many thanks for your positive comment, Peter. Sadly, I remember exactly what they charged me! 500 baht each way!! Having said that you can flag them down on the main routes and they are much cheaper. In all honesty the main form of transport on the island is motorbike which is easy to rent, but I think they can be dangerous after dark, after rain or at ant time on some of the roads! Despite all that, it's a wonderful island and I'm sure you'll have a great time!

The 'queue' jumping by the locals when you get to the ferry is annoying! You get bumped sometimes when the delivery vans and VIP guest buses arrive AFTER you!

Thanks for that. Wasn't aware of it. I thought it only happened to me in 7 eleven!

The best time to go there is when the place is nearly empty. You got an upgrade, quiet hotel and empty beaches. This is what appeals to me about Thailand, but it is very seldom the reality. I always end up surrounded by assorted lowlife and the ethnically challenged. The hotels on the island really to charge for the location. Based on your prior videos, there are 4-5 star type places available in Pattaya for the same price.

Thanks, David. I have to admit I prefer it when it's quiet. The hotel was really lovely. Don't tell anyone, but I'd rate it better value than a 4 or 5 star in pattaya. Just a really wonderful experience. People are genuinely friendly there. I'll go back in a few weeks and explore!

I remember going back in 2020 the week the island opened after being locked off. I was so so quiet, but of course beautifu, even in all the rain. Made me laugh the hotels showed a Peak season Dec-Jan, High season. I think Oct,Nov,Feb-April and "Green season" 💦💦 which was the lowest prices of course.

@@peapaulofthailand6539Green season is a great name. I'd never succeed in marketing. Green season sounds better than peeling it down season!

@@checkoutTh that is exactly what made me laugh because the green was hard to see covered in clouds on a couple of days 💦🤣

@peapaulofthailand6539 I think I'll pop back there in the next few weeks and try and visit all the different beaches. Hopefully the weather will improve. But as you say, its beautiful even when wet!

1 night is no where longer enough anywhere to explore and vist all koh chang has to offer.

Thanks. I agree with you. I'm going back to explore more, but I just wanted to give people a flavour of what it's like.

looked relaxed, not nice calling Mr Egg a monkey and leaving by the road side. Don't need to know if hotel guest friendly, did not see any likely friends at that bar.

Thanks, BB. I managed to pick a hotel so far from anywhere that any possible new friends would have given up before we got halfway there! Then again, one of the monkeys winked at me, I thought, so you never know!
