I ran a 13.5 in my 21 ecoboost mustang all stock except axle back exhaust and OTS tune for 91 octane fuel. The charge air temp reached 151F first run which was a 75F difference over intake air temp. Looking fwd to results of new IC.
I’m so glad i found this channel. I plan on doing almost the same build as you So far I have the MBRP race exhaust, Cobb access port, and an airaid Intake tube. Next upgrade is definitely the CVF intercooler. Did you change the charge pipes with the intercooler or did you just swap the intercooler?
I just did the intercooler swap without charge pipes. I have a race video with a lightly modded V6 coming out today so stay tuned for that if you’re interested!
Nice video! Sold_ I'm making my purchase tomorrow for my Edge ST. I don't race so I don't need a tune. The only things I'm doing are the S & B cold air intake, the CVF Intercooler & MRT axle back exhust that should net me around 45 - 50 hp & torque. I just want it to breath better, be good on the gas & go when I want.
I changed on mine om612 from stock one to 6.8lt intercooler and tbh it have differencies on acceleration, 0-100 went from 7.3 to 7.05 and 100-180 went from 16 sec to 15sec. (I have 1.5bar boost on turbo cat delete egr off flaps off delete and kn air filter) Around 205hp before intercooler now i dont know how much it can be, on 17rims 2x2.
Do you need a tune for coolers? I wanna put on an intercooler, oil cooler and trans cooler. My eco is stock besides bov cold air intake and oil catch can
It’s so weird watching the charged air temp go up during a pull. I never took notice of it when I had a stock ic but now that i’m also using cvf ic, it’s the other way around. The temps are higher when there’s no boost and the temp drops during a pull
That's why all tuners said 'do not overboost'. Because more boost mean more air, more air mean more heat, more heat mean more chances to damage the engine and turbo itself. Get a bigger or thicker intercooler if want higher boost.
I have the wagner Evo 2 intercooler my charge temp stays between 80 to 120 but im here in Miami Fla that its super hot and humid down here today we were in the 90s
Yes. It keeps the air temperatures low. With cooler temps, less heat soak (when the car gets hot), and less heat soak means the car won’t pull timing and reduce power. Basically makes the car more consistent.
Oh ok..thank you..I just got a 2020 ecoboost myself and I’m learning about certain parts because I want to increase the HP in my car..my goal is to soon hit at least 400hp.. nice video by the way
Is It Me; I have one of these things.. '20 Mustang I-4 w/ the 10 speed transmission... Quicker than my '03 Mach 1 and 10x Quicker than my '90 5.0 Coupe WTF
My 90 5.0 notch all stock ran 14.7. My 21 ecoboost stang runs 14.0 stock. Now with cobb ots for 91 fuel runs 13.5. Now have cvf street IC and will run soon. May run better than 13.5. Shes pulling real strong.
Amazing comparison video! About 45 degree difference could mean around 10-15 hp diff
Yep!

@@JVette01 Yea I hit the sub button the second I saw your channel lol. I’ll be sure to tune in for that video!
Any issues whit the oem charge pipes whit the intercooler?
There was one part that was slightly rubbing up against a part of the car but my mechanic said it shouldn’t be an issue.
yo man i just ordered the airaid intake tube, what do you think of it and was it really easy to install?

For the intercooler, no. However, the other stuff I wouldn’t bother with.
Can’t wait to get to work on my 2004 Colorado, nice eco boost btw wish I had the cash to get one myself lol
Just save up and work for it! My dream car is a corvette (hence my name) and I’m working toward that too! Good luck on the Colorado
@@JVette01 Hell yea man! Go for it!
I’m speaking it into existence. You will have your ecoboost one day ❤️❤️
@@BedazzledChanclas you know I will :D
Just ordered the cvf street intercooler for my 2017 ecoboost stang should be great.
Hope I made the right decision?

Looks like a good upgrade for spring. My stang is garaged for the winter.
Yeah I probably should’ve bought it a long time ago but I’m glad I have it now haha
@@JVette01 I think just the access port and the cold pipe for upgrades next year. I found 93 octane up here in Maine
Sounds good!

Are you tuned? And what tune are running? If it’s a pro tune did you need to update the tune?
At the time I first got the intercooler, I was on Cobb’s 91 OTS tune. Now, I am pro tuned by Ryan at PD Tuning.
Nice video! Can you share the link please
Just type of CVF Street Intercooler Mustang EcoBoost. It’s the first thing that pops up
Thanks mate!♥️
@@JVette01 Do you recommend the street or race intercooler?
Let me before I buy lol
I bought the street. I have no experience with the race one

@@polloramoskz3 bigger turbo intercooler downpipe and intake then tune it and there ya go
@@nickysgaming2311 approximately how much hp does that do??
Where did you find "Digital Speedometer", I can't seem to find it anywhere in my Mustang EcoBoost 2017
It was available for 2018+ Mustangs.
Does the intercooler void Ford warranty?
I don’t think so
What is charge air temp?
That is the temperature of the air after the intercooler.

It’s probably very close to the Mach 1 speed wise. Definitely faster than a ‘90 5.0 though
