The new Multivan is an all-rounder that adapts playfully to families. The exterior and interior have been completely redesigned - but always show the Bulli DNA. Multifunctional, suitable for everyday use and as valuable as ever, the seventh generation now offers even more digital features, innovative mobile online services at a high level and intelligent assistance systems. All this makes it a popular meeting place for the whole family.
Visually, the new Multivan follows its ancestors with its clear, timeless form - but reinterprets the classic design. At the front, the two IQ.Light - LED matrix headlights and the backlit chrome strip create eye- catching accents. The striking two-tone paint finish and the optional 19-inch alloy wheels , which are available for the Bulli for the first time, are also real eye-catchers. Also new: the 30-color ambient lighting .
One of the great strengths of the new Multivan are the foldable individual seats in the rear, which are 25 percent lighter and can be removed in just a few simple steps. They now allow certain seat configurations to be implemented even more quickly. Whether Vis-à-Vis with the multifunctional table in the middle, with all seats in the direction of travel or with removed outer seats for the transport of e-bikes - a few simple steps are enough to design the interior in your interest. Another highlight: For the first time, the outer seats in the passenger compartment can be heated - so the children can be cozy and warm on cold winter days.
In the new Multivan you are just as comfortable on the road in the city as on the motorway. It doesn't matter whether you choose the short (4.98 m) or the long version (5.18 m): both models are low enough for common car parks, but high enough inside for relaxed vacation trips. The 1.83 m panoramic glass roof 8 is an absolute novelty .
Digital cockpit, optional head-up display, mobile online services: the new Multivan has everything that digital natives love about a car. And a little more. The optional premium sound system from Harman Kardon is part of good sound. You can use it to transform the standard 25.4 cm radio into an audiophile system - and with We Upgrade even into a navigation system. Even after buying the vehicle. Because with We Upgrade you can unlock many attractive functions in the in-car shop for the first time and download them over the air. In addition to the navigation function, this also includes multicolored ambient lighting and driver assistance systems. Gone are the days when you had to do everything yourself. The optionally available intelligent IQ.Light - LED matrix headlights 1 think for you. In combination with "Dynamic Light Assist" , they dynamically fade in and out and steer you into corners before you do.
The new Multivan is available with more drive variants than ever before - including as a plug-in hybrid 15 . With a suitably charged battery, you can cover average daily distances of up to 49 km 16 in e-mode purely electrically and locally without CO 2 emissions. If you are away for a longer period, an efficient combustion engine automatically switches on.

Thank you for the review(I watched them multiple times)! I think T7 multivan is a very practical family car, and Staria is a premium family car.
1. Staria used better material of the seats, leather(nappa leather?) vs fabric (T7), but T7 has better versatility (reverse mounted seats or can remove them easily).
2. Staria also used better interior material (such as roof or door)
3. I like electrical powered T7 (but it seems like no 4WD in this version).
4. VW has a better van development history, I have no doubt that they can build a robust van.
However, although I am not a fan of Korean car, but the price of T7 is much higher than Staria, I might choose Staria eventually...
BTW, do you know how many isofix seats in the Staria? and can the 3rd row seat be removed?

But I don't think you are right about the fuel capacity of this plug-in hybrid. 70 liters is for the regular petrol version, 45 liters for the plug in hybrid.

Great van, but unfortunately the tank in the hybrid is only 45L, not 70L. I don't understand this shortcoming.

I am surprised the second row of seats was not shown turned around to face the rear row with the table in-between. Has this feature not been included in the T7 Hybrid?

Cannot open any rear windows. The sunroof cannot be covered...ou, stay in the garage in the summer.......price +30% up price against Hyundai Staria....I don't think there's anything to compare. This is an overpriced legend. BUT THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!

Now, 4Motion version please VW, some of us go skiing in the winter you now...
And I disagree abut the sunroof. This will be a nightmare in the summer in the hot countries as there is no shade. How can VW miss that is beyond me but for sure they need to address it in the future.
Have You ever spend more time in so called t5/6 Multivan. How much more space is there compare to New one? 25cm longer floor from driver seat til tailgate, 20cm longer rails, 15-25cm more space for 3rd row passengers, 20cm more space for passenger knees and feets. New Multivan should be called Multivan 2022 edition which means that we get about 20/22cm less space and comfort in it.

Our likeable friend is obviously "joking". At these prices, and with the European citizen getting poorer every day, no one is going to buy such a Volkswagen. If we win the lottery, maybe. This nice presentation is unfortunately a "science fiction movie" far from reality. This car does not have good luck in sales. It will enter directly from the Car Museum from now on. Manufacturers of Volkswagen and other expensive companies have not realized that the consumers they are targeting are not shipowners. But they will understand it now, in a very "hard" way, because the times have changed ...
