👌
@Adrian Beiderbecke lollllll i dont think so
Hey Thomas I just read about this on the interwebs and here you are already with the vehicle and doing the review - Autogefuhl for the win !
💪💪
Since it's based on passenger car platform, it's more of a successor to Sharan than to Multivan.
Should be available in one single colour as well. With or without metal strip in between.
Exactly 🙂
Thanks for bringing it so fast Autogefühl team. Great review Thomas
Very nice vehicle, Thomas! Thank you for this important review, like always you do! I liked both versions!✨
Have a nice weekend! Cheers 🥂🍻
amazing review as always. great energy, Thomas!
🙏🙏🙏
Very nice review Thomas, well done on getting hold of these T7 models so early on.
It will be interesting to see the California conversions of this vehicle and whether Californias remain as commercial or retail. For now I will carry on enjoying my lovely Cali Coast T6.1 !
I really like the combination of bright colors, very unusual for this type of vehicles😍
Great presentation Thomas...well done and Thanks. I owned the 1976 Campervan 1700 Engine and I wish it was one of these ...Struth!
Excellent review…as always. Very informative and enjoyable.
thanks !!
It seems really well thought out. Great for families with disabled members.
Just on time as always, congrats Thomas, you’re great. Your excitement is very well noticable, and thanks for providing a honest review. Good job👍
You are always special, wonderful comment and simplified explanation
This is another quality and fantastic review!
Very cute. Love it. 😅 Great review, as usual. Nice job with the video, Thomas, Thomas, and Thomas. 👌
🙏🙏
@@autogefuehl Cheers. Just realized there are two Thomass, not three. My mistake. 😅
it has a lot of (esp. exterior) design elements of the ID3, I like it.
This is one of the best review. Straight to the point.
Thomas is mad to get one for his bicycle! 😂
In all respect i appreciate these thorough reviews, thank you thomas you're the best!
thanks so much and keep following :)
Very professional review as always Thomas 👏
Great review, Thomas. You are the best vehicle correspondent online.
Highly appreciated! Keep recommending 😎
Nice review Thomas! As usual!
When can we expect a review of the new BMW X3 face lift? 🤞
Thomas, well done 👍🏽 Thank you. Like your style of car reviews!! Unfortunately we will never get that vehicle in Canada 🇨🇦🥲
As ever a comprehensive and well done review. Thanks !
💪
Amazing, shape reminds me of the old ‘Mazda Bongo / Ford Freda’ from about 20 years ago that I use to import from Japan.
Even the electric sliding door, sunroof, internal drop down tables all mounted on a 2.5L diesel Ford Ranger engine. And it cost less than €10k fully imported and had an electric pop-up roof and fridge / cooker in the back 👌🏽
Thomas, do the front seats swivel round? Layout reminds me of when we had our much loved Citroen Synergie.
It’s an option
Wow this is really interesting, didn't see it coming. Thanks for your review, you have a great style, I have subscribed.
Welcome 🙏
Hi Thomas thank you very much .. really you channel is the better enven if the others has more than millions subs.. good luck
Great review Thomas, as always! Any chances for a review of the newly facelifted Kodiaq anytime soon? ;)
Thanks 🙏 we ll try!
I am "heeya" watching your amazing video.
I'll come back heeya for the next one.
This looks so cool and the interior also very well thought out. The dual tone color combo looks surprisingly neat, wonder why VW didn't offer this on other passenger cars, would be nice option for buyers ...
Not all passenger cars have such a pronounce and straight horizontal line. (Some WV cars offer a black roof, but that doesn't really count.) There is a T-Roc with a red roof on a white car.
But I think the California T6 does the two tone a lot better than this new T7.
@@SamoScopom would probably work on SUVs.
Love it! Makes me excited for the ID Buzz
18 minutes? My goodness Thomas no! I want full HD, full length, and full screen! 😂😂 only kidding, very nice to see this VW too!
That's the VW quality we need in the ID3/ID4 : nicer seats, better dashboard. Only the sliders for volume and temperature should be replaced by genuine buttons and then VW is back...
And puddle lights that have an ID picture instead of a pseudo-Renault logo
You are absolutely right. I just tried the ID3 and i was shocked by the poor quality of the interior for a 40k€ car. With options in the configuration i chose i was close to 50k€. For this price i want a nice interior, not something that reminds me of east Germany in the eighties.
Another good one Thomas! Like the new VW van. It’s about time.
Will this be available in US? Cheers
I'd say 90-95% a sound NO WAY! US haven't got the now midsize T-vans since the T-4 or Eurovan (at that time they were imported from Germany and they started > U$40K).
Great review as always. Love it!
Cheers!
Great review 👍🏾. You have a new subscriber 👍🏾 👍🏾
Hi Thomas, great review as always. Is it confirmed the T7 will not come as California/camper edition and continue on the commercial 6.1 platform? I was so hoping for a PHEV California.
Cool! I was expecting something more like the ID Buzz but its nice design
This is a good looking van. Really nice.
As a day van alternative to the T6.1, I think it works. I don't see why VW aren't offering 'Beach' or even California variants considering they did something like that for their smallest van that was essentially a car too.
Any family that test drives both the T7 and T6.1 back to back will choose the more comfortable vehicle. Not everyone wants a diesel commercial van as their family car and the slight compromise in interior space is worth it. I can't wait for the ID Buzz.
Great review Thomas, so apart from this passenger MPV, are VW going to offer two versions on the commercial platform for the California one hybrid/diesel with Ford and one electric only (ID buzz).
Aye
The more I think about it the more sense it makes to split the model into a large practical MPV and a commercial vehicle. In the UK at least most T5/T6 Caravelle/Multivans were used as taxis. And I guess the commercial version will also be available as a nice passenger van too?
This looks pretty cool
It's great that the rear passenger seats are on the same rail as the one in front of it, makes it so much easier to remove the rear seats by sliding them all the way forward.
Indeed
Wait until the rails are full of debris. Cleaning them is a nightmare.
Awesome presentation with all the minute details. What is price range and is this available in Canada
Beautiful review
👍👍
again, very Nice vídeo. Thanks
Thank you, Thomas! Your reviews are best on whole youtube!
Great review as always Thomas. I am very interested in learing more about the 4motion variant you were talking about in the end. Will it be an aditional electric motor in the rear on the hybrid variant, or will it be on the petrol/diesel version? When can we expect it to be for sale? Thanks!
Additional Electric motor on the rear axle indeed
@@autogefuehl Do you know when?
Are there also integrated Childseats available as in the previous Model?
I think it's about time to have a full electrc van/bus. We bought the Chrysler Pacifica electric hybrid because we wanted an electric car and needed a van for my mother who needs a wheelchair and a portable lift with takes up a lot of room. It's the only van that is electric hybrid which gets great mileage. Can't wait to see how this bus looks when it is completed. Love the idea of the different seating configurations and the moving console with the table looks great. Hope those features are in the final production of the bus. Our next car will be an all electric car. Would love to get the VW Bus.
Looks fantastic! I want it now!
Is the seat heating powered via the floor rails?
Looks cool. I prefer the outside of the T6.1 especially the ground clearance.
Great video. Thank you. I am guessing you could turn this into an 8 seater, if you swapped out the table, and added an extra seat? In the back you would have two rows of three seats.
Cheers! 7 are max
More also in this review: th-cam.com/video/ztd-N2th-PI/w-d-xo.html
Superb video. Thank you.
Amazing design
He's always funny to watch
Can’t wait for the new videos on the LCI X3 & X4 plus the iX
Danke das ist wunderbar👍🏼🙏
A lot of cheap plastics throughout, and no damping on the storage bins, but the modularity of the captain's chairs appears to be a very useful item. Do any of the sun roofs open for ventilation?
I really don't see the purpose of deleting the sun shade, especially here in California where it can turn the van into an over really fast. This van is going to need a powerful A/C with all that glass.
The console trays in the rear are a clever idea. I hope they have USB ports. Finally, the trays on the rear seat, however, need to fold down not pull up.
Nicely done.
That's gotta be the nicest van ever!
I could definitely see it as a great CamperVan as well 👍
The US market needs this van!
9:29 So that's where the tables from the Tiguan went after the facelift.
😁
Love my vws ... question is why do we still have forward facing rear seats . What about at an angle ...
cool and fresh ide for car paints :) surely look electri to me
Wonderful presentation. Am curious as to who was sitting in the passenger seat wearing pixie shoes?
Cheers!
Hello Thomas, is it possible to put 3 seats in the second row an 2 in the third row?
My question is regarding traveling with 5 and having enough room for luggage.
I have a Sharan and was thinking about selling it for this one, but two seats in the second row, doesn't suit me...
Regards!
When and where can I get one? It looks awesome!!
how big is the cargo space when all seats removed?and same question about the longer one please
Fantastic looking vehicle
Will that come here in USA? I am loving the vw id4 and my wife will love this van
A must have!
From Australia: so nice. Will be so good when it comes in full EV next year, as you said! I wonder if VW will bring them here?
if Australia has the Sharan available than most likely yes, however if it doesn t than it will either only get the commercial version built in a very different platform depending if the multivan is available there yet
I need to save the whole car looking incredible beautiful.
Great seating options, very reminiscent of my 2007 Renault Espace, also with a full length panoramic roof. Nice though. Just £40,000+ more than I paid for my old Renault. If I had the cash, I'd certainly be interested in an upgrade.
No comparison
It is lost a lot advantages t5-t6 has , ground clearance ,cabin&cargo space, integrated safety belts into seats, sunshades on side windows, etc. T7 is more like Sharan replacement auto, or expensive alternative to PSA traveller-zafira life-space tourer vans.
The t7 is also meant to be a sharan replacement, replacement for the commercial T6 will be based on a shared model with ford to replace their transit
The chrysler pacifica is way more practical than this
You can get the commerical version for that
@@alanmay7929 lol no way😅 that V6 is unreliable
@@dragospahontu doesn't matter, the chrysler is way better designed and optimised for a family car
Thank you. Danke shon, mein Herr!
Ohhh it's like a look into what the ID BUZZ will almost look like.
That's the thing I thought about first
i hope vw keeps that second row center console it will make it practical for business purchases 👍👍
Er sieht sehr schick aus, irgendwie sehe ich darin die Studie des Microbus von 2001. Ab wann ist er denn zu konfigurieren ? Das Glasdach gefällt mir sehr gut, lässt sich das öffnen ?
Very good and expected car. But when it comes to replace my Sharan - why can't I stow the rear ser row info the floor??
That panoramic ceiling wow
So this happened when a 1989 Pontiac Transport, VW ID3 and a Ssangyong Rodius had a high speed collision on the Autobahn.
nice seating posision???? How can it be when your knees is that high up, hitting the steeringwheel??
Really well thought out; it looks beautiful and practical.
Do the sliding door windows open down in the passenger version, or only with the "sliding window" option?
Would it be available in the US? Thanks for all the great videos.
Thanks 🙏 probably just the EV ID Buzz
The biggest thing it’s missing, I think, is the ability to stow the seat inside the vehicle like the Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Pacifica
Agreed! But I don't think that will ever be possible in electric cars/vans with the battery location. :( Correct me if I'm wrong!
Flat floor offers so much flexibility for the seating configuration. I actually love this change. Plus Third row seats are more comfortable now because the seats are higher from floor - same as second row.
No, thanks ! I want a flat floor and flexibility ! Folded seats are a deal breaker for me.
The entrance of the back door seems a bit low and I also wonder if the view is obstracted by the thick part above the side window.
The best Van in the market today.
Nice review, really like the vehicle, my only gripe is that the 3rd row does not fold into the floor like other vans. I suspect this is due to the compact size of the smaller version, but the longer version should have stow and go. I rented a Pacifica and the ability to drop any seat into the floor made the van very versatile.
Have you noticed that here all the seats slide and in Pacifica none does? You cannot stow seats on rails.
@@Drzeq good point, but I would take fixed seats that stow in the floor over sliding seats that you have to remove and store somewhere.
Who makes Pacifica?
@@hebblack Chrysler
Thank you for your review, as always really well made.
I'm extremely disappointed with T7. I want to replace my Renault Grand Espace IV as it hasn't got much luggage space. It has however 7 sliding seats with integrated seatbelts.
This T7 has a similar approach but totally messed up by excluding integrated seatbelts.
I took my family (5 kids) and tried to settle in T6.1. It was awesome. Kids loved it. When I sit behind the wheel (I'm 189cm tall), then I adjust the 2nd row seat to the same hight person and then I move the 3rd row bench forward to make myself comfortable I'm left with quite big trunk. Kids don't need that much space so the trunk could be even bigger. And all that in the 4.90cm long car. Way bigger than in the 4 cm shorter (4.86cm) Espace.
I was really surprised how well thought T6.1 was.
I've been waiting with decision to go with T6.1 until T7 comes out.
The only thing that makes me want T7 is plugin hybrid which I might be find useful on day to day basis and more space between front seats. That's it. The new table is useless for the 3rd row as it can't be open due to the seats in the 2nd row. If they could be set in the backwards position it would make sense. But due to the seatbelts in the pillar it's impossible to drive like this.
The trunk size is disappointing. What's good in sliding seats in the 3rd row if the seatbelts are in the pillar? How will a 6-10 year old kid reach the seatbelt if the seats are moved forward?
No AWD? The other car I have is Subaru XV and I don't want the family car to be FWD. I want to go skiing with peace of mind it's not me whose gonna block the road due to snow or slippery conditions. I want to park on grass in the camp site and not have to pray it doesn't rain and I might get stuck there with 5 kids :-).
the confusion is from using the famous name multivan, this is not the replacement for what you think, the bigger multivans (8 seat versions, commercial versions, california, etc) will still be built in a bigger new different platform than this, its just that the T is branching to many platforms and uses, the full electric version will also be built in a different platform from the others.
although it needs to be said you re talking about this new version without trying the long version 🙂( remember that this version alone has two lengths, a short and a longer one). here they re just the famous name multivan for the new replacement of the sharan.
Just get the integrated seatbelts then. He talks about it around 13:00.
17:30 there will be AWD at a later point
Best of even the German reviews. Thanks.
Looks like you can have 8 single seats..... even if not officially allowed to. Dubious idea with the fixed seat belts in the c and d pillars. Should only need them in each seat, but they are missing in the outside seats.
I will measure the inside of my t6.... The advantage of the t6 is that it is huge inside and short on the outside... same lenght outside as a small estate car
Thanks 🙏
Hi there. I have a Transporter T6 without any option apart from an automatic gearbox and this is exactly what i was wondering. Do you have the exact same space in the back if you get rid of the extra seats.
Total step back. Viva T4!!!
So is this the van being built in turkey as a joint venture with ford to also be badged as a custom transit?
Great camper van and yes if you have four kids excellent. Hope they still do a Retro camper van they showed us a few years back. Looking forward to the ID buzz and a two door hot hatch. They just need a decent in-house software department. The Taycan and E-tron have the VW group getting there on electrification. Just need to improve to next gen battery tech. 👍 This needs to pure electric mind.
Bring back the older versions! They looked so much better !!
Agreed! I saw a California model in France in February 2020 and it looked just fine.
yeah yeah yeah and what about the other red old one? look awesome!
