The sleeping nose snot bubble isn't so much of a reference to mario Bros 2 as it is a common Japanese trope. It signifies deep peaceful sleep. It's used a lot in manga, illustrations, anime, and games
This was mentioned in the game, but Grandma impersonates Peach because she snuck out to help Mario (hence her being a playable team member). So Grandma took on her form to protect her-so no one would know.
Great list, as always. I am still waiting for at least one more video about the missable Easter eggs in Super Mario Wonder. For example, did you know that Rage Stage Bowser has 2 alternate dialogues- one when you wear the invisibility badge, and one when you play as Peach.
The cave in Lands End has a little cloud poof out of it, that's when you're able to jump into it. You can see it just above Mario's head as it works here in the video :P Also not all the green toad children are the same kids lol the one in the Mushroom Kingdom running in a circle is a girl. In the original, she used to ask Mario if he wants to get hitched in a few years, she just needs time to grow into her mother's wedding dress. This was changed for obviously good reason. (Let's not get into this change please.) Wizakoopa is only red because he's brainwashed.
There's 1 possibly 2 eastern eggs I saw but the triple attack with mario bowser and peach it's a reference of tidus/shyuin ultimate attack Blits Ace/Terror of Zanarkand and another one with mario geno and bowser is kinda of a reference of final fantasy 7 movie where the team launches cloud to the top to defeat bahamut but idk if these were discovered but could be just be me
In the room with the empty portrait that Mario can be seen through, if he goes behind it while Booster throws his Bob-Ombs around, they will all just land and explode in a minor cutscene, and then Booster will be disappointed; it does nothing if you go behind it after defeating the Bob-Ombs or waiting for them to explode. Also, Disk-kun (DISK-koon) was specifically the mascot for the Famicom Disk System (an attachment for the Famicom that read special floppy disks), not the Famicom itself.
I think the Peaches room EE(1:49 into the video) is in reference to the orginal Paper mario. When you play as peach you press a button to the right of her fireplace to revile a hidden passage.
Username is correct, the original SMRPG came out before Paper Mario. The thought of the hidden passage switch being put there because of SMRPG is a really cool thought though. Makes more sense when you remember Paper Mario was supposed to be SMRPG 2. Nice connection :D
@@Jverner yeah, as far as I'm aware, there's very little that was changed from the original game that's a reference to something that came later. So pretty good odds that if it's still in the remake, it was like that in the original

34:55 Those mountains in clouds in the background look pretty cool, don't they?😂
I love the Christmas version of the intro jingle!

I love this video! I originally clicked it and thought I would know them all but boy was I wrong!!
This game is amazing. I'm almost done but the booster rematch is pretty hard😅

I haven’t got the game and I probably won’t get it for a long time, however, until I eventually get it I can enjoy your amazing content on it!😁
20:50 what is that song called it sounds good, I haven’t played the game so I don’t know
Beware the Forest Mushrooms
It's true, the frying pan Peach uses in Smash derives from this game. One of the few SMRPG references incorporated into Smash Bros.
What’s up I love your vids
The Zinger enemies really remind me of the Thwomp-like bee enemies from SML2 on the Game Boy.
Can someone help me? I can’t find the mini goomba for the monster collection book in the game. Any tips where I can find the mini goomba.
He only appears when u fight the chest enemy in the sunken ship, if you missed it you can buy it from the thoughtful peak guy in booster pass
@@Nin10doland Yeah I missed it, I’m going to go to the thoughtful peak guy. Hope it works.
@@Nin10doland Thank You.
Really awesome video. The cave in lands end lets you in when the smoke appears. What happens if you beat culex 3D?
You get the Crystal Shard, an item that proves you have beaten the hardest boss
also considering how many times the shy guys stunlocked me with that move i know it lol
thoughtful peek? dude, IT'S CALLED THOUGHT PEEK! (or psychopath)
33:42 mario 3 reference?
Culex isnt playing ff6 music or fanfare. Its all final fantasy 4, including his boss theme

Actually, I think it’s the other way around: Mario RPG was made b4 Paper Mario

@@mistahl5350 I was unaware that reference was in the original SMRPG. If so that’s definitely a reference between the two games

The slide for the Frog Coin in Pipe Vault is a reference to the original games where you could slide under bricks and stuff.
