I can't stand the pain of hair.... It's in me that feeling.... I burst into tears...... IT'S ONLY.. A MASTERPIECE.....
The journey for revenge is a symbol for how he had spent his own life
after they split. Angry, bitter and becoming someone he didn't
recognize. Hence, pouring it all into this story he had sent her. He
never remarried, never had children so killing off the character in the
end was symbolic of how he felt in his life after their child was taken
from him and he had lost her. Like he had died himself and knew that
his weaknesses were part of the reason he had lost them both....
And a way of telling her that this was how he had felt over how she had
left him.....he was helpless, lost and weak......

Actually, in my opinion, only the weak Tony/Edward died. The feeling of their child (as well as their future as a couple) taken away from him was expressed in the red couch scene with the two corpses. In the meantime, a new Edward was born, a successful writer and finally able to leave her for good.

May be it is not about revenge but about pain and how you go on with life when someone has broken you into million pieces and you can never get them back together... Not everyone who has been hurt is after revenge! The book became his only way to keep himself on track with life, the only letter to her, who broke him in the first place!

absolutely it was certainly the best adaptation...best music....best supporting actor in Michael Shannon.
Because the movie shows a clever way to unmask the true evil nature of whimen. It does not qualify for the pr0gr3ss agenda of propaganda of hollywood.

One of the best string soundtracks in all of movie history. You can hear every little nuance in the orchestra - I listen to this at least once every month for the past 5 years.

The movie and the music was just splendid. Loved it. Nocturnal animals is the type of movie that only intelligent viewers would appreciate.

Never have I experienced a movie as creepy as this, accompanied by a soundtrack as mesmerizing as this.
If you haven't encountered it, you might check out "Let the Right One In"---the original Swedish version..Dark, creepy, and sad; with an incredible soundtrack..

This movie IS really, in fact, cheappy camouflaged revenge heist, but its a opinion after a few seansees. At first, it lapidates you with tragedy stiched with this trembling violins.

Mr. Korzeniowski has truly made a universe of sound unique and familiar at the same time, taking his rightful place alongside Preisner, Richter and Zimmer. His persistently romantic touch with a common thread of nostalgia and yearning that runs throughout his scores has captured our ears, hearts and souls. Very excited to see what else he comes up with his new projects.
When you think of that opening sequence without this music, the director would have been crucified for something so grotesque, insulting, morbidly comedic. But the music alone lifts the sequence to a piece of art, majestic, hauntingly beautiful music. It changes it all. That's the power of film music.
Fantastic soundtrack (and a very good movie). Reminds me a little bit of some of Bernard Hermann's compositions. This soundtrack shuold have been nominated for an Oscar.

This is soundtrack has that rare quality that it is fresh, new, but it instantly sounds very familiar. As if the melodies were something you heard a million times before and it's instantly catchy. Great piece of work.

Have you ever heard that someone is trapped inside a movie and was not able to get out of it!? This is what happened to me since I watched the movie two weeks ago and then listened to the music. I have this ambition to stay trapped inside this movie.

Really, I do not know. This is the first thing in my life I feel this. I watched the movie 5 times and listened to the music... I do not know how many times, around 100 times. I feel sorry for Edward, he did not deserve all what happened to him. I know that these things happened in life, since there is good deeds there will be bad and evil deeds as well. To quote the Amy Adams character: "this story is devastating". The music and visuals for the Couch and Table for Two scenes are some of the most powerful in film. Abel is a genius.

Absoluty agree... its like musicians like carlos hof, luke howard... its pitting not to hear more from them...
2016 was a crazy good year for film scores. Moonlight, La La Land, Jackie all were incredible. But I personally think that the other two nominations Lion and Passengers should have been replaced with Nocturnal Animals, The Neon Demon, and/or Arrival.

I watch this movie with my brother/ I didn't what to expect but I expected my brother's reaction in the first minute or so, he was bored and looked at me like a freak, "come on dude thoses movie taste you have" then the kidpnaping scene happen, and he was in a shock state, litteraly out of breath.
