  • This is a Pad Thai recipe that truly stacks up to great Thai restaurants yet is totally doable for every home cook with just a trip to your every day grocery store.
With the signature sweet-savoury flavour, sprinkle of peanuts and tang from lime, this is a Thai food favourite for good reason!

I have made your Pad Thai recipe 4 times already. You have the clearest and most systematic recipe and I luckily have access to all the ingredients, including the garlic chives. You are my lifesaver during quarantine because I didn't need to go to a restaurant when I wanted Thai food. Thank you from the bottom of both my heart and stomach!

Recently I've been trying to learn new recipes and I spent all last week mastering Singapore noodles with the help of your Singapore noodle recipe. This month I'm tackling Pad Thai so this recipe is great. I love that you're an Aussie and I can find all your ingredients and brands in Coles/Woolies! Your online recipe's are also really well set out and I love that I can scale the recipe to the amount of people easily with the little slider!
Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more of your stuff in the future!
Edit: I also wanted to mention I appreciate how short and sweet your videos are. No nonsense or over the top narration. Perfect for me!!!

Been all day getting the right ingredients (I´ve got them all) and I´ll be doing this recipe between the 3/4 I´ve been paying attention to; you´re not alone in loving the no bullshit approach in one minute, and I´ve got the feeling this recipe may turn better than the more 'sophisticated' ones without all the chatter and "important" tricks.
Also the visual approach is really well done/effective, as you kind of get it all to the point of not needing to look at the written recipe (which I will do anyway), or even the measures! For instance you just know how the sauce is built (proportions wise) in a fast look which takes literally 5 seconds. That´s genius.

This is the 5th time I've used this recipe. I bought some pad thai sauce from my local Asian food store. It was OK but a bit light, so I added some sweet dark soy sauce and some oyster sauce. It didn't look that good but it tastes amazing. I'll go back to making the sauce myself next time though 🙂

I agree. I saw the recipe & the ingredient amounts overwhelmed me, but after watching the video I was like "Pfff I got this". I can't wait to make this tmrw.

As someone else commented, you made it look so simple. I'm making this tomorrow. Again, to reiterate what I replied to a previous comment, the ingredients overwhelmed me; Until I watched the video. I'm so stoked to make this tomorrow! I'm going to comment again after it's shoved in my face hole to let known the results!... I'll be eating it with someone else so we'll see how they feel, but I myself am feeling quite positive! 👌🏻! Thanks for this! Can't wait!!

Made this tonight. YUMM… didn’t have Tofu so just omitted it. Also Used Indian Tamarind Paste and Thai Kitchen Stir-fry rice Noodles and it came out really great! I didn't realize there was a difference between Thai and Indian Tamarind till after I bought the Indian version off amazon so I was stuck with what I had. Still, It came out great! Kind of curious how it would be with Thai paste.

Pad Thai is the only thing I order when I'm feeling Thai food. Sometimes curry but always pad Thai with chicken

Loving hour recipes. I’m in Australia and unable to find garlic chives. I’ve even tried my local Asian grocery store with fresh fruit n veg and no luck. Could you sub the garlic chives with anything ?

Jaye Fleischeuer Thankyou, would this be the garlic chives seedlings to grow your own? Will check it out, thanks

@@traceycosta9196 Yeah they sell the seeds but I think you can buy them already growing in a punnet. Failing that, I'm sure regular chives or even the green part of spring onions will do the trick.
